Lovely place. Location up the hill and just out of town but we like it that way. 15 minute walk into town. Nice and quiet. Extremely enjoyable. Hotel was great. Staff very helpful. They even provided a little bottle of bubbles on ice with some strawberries as the trip was for my wife's 60th. They have a nice indoor pool and health suite. Also, the restaurant attached to the property (Copenhagen) had a nice atmosphere. Good for a drink and/or dinner/bar meal.
Nothing really. My only disappointment was that the hotel normally provides a free 3 hour mini-bus tour of the island on a Tuesday and Thursday. It was one of the reasons that I booked. However, just my luck, on the Thursday that we were there, the tour didn't run as I think the vehicle was being serviced. We did book another tour externally of the island for £50 which was very good. It did not detract from the overall experience of our 3 days on the island and in the hotel which was basically great.

The staff were very helpful and nice, they really made our stay very pleasant. The hotel was impeccably clean, as was our room and housekeeping kept it that way our entire stay . The restaurant and bar are separately positioned from the main hotel, (accessible by an underground ground link or a very short walk across the drive.) This Made the main hotel very quiet with 2 peaceful lounge rooms if you wish to avoid the bar.
It's a very short walk from the main town and harbour, however, I should point out if you are a little infirm, it is situated up a fairly steep hill. This would not be the slightest problem if you are in fair health.

The room was big and well equipped, including good tea and coffee making facilities and fresh fruit daily which was a nice touch. The grounds were nice with plenty of outdoor space relaxing. The spa facilities were very good and clean.
Our room was good and ideally located next to the Spa facilities however, we were woken by the facilities' generators/pumps at 7am every morning which continue until 9pm into the evening. If you like a lie in, or an early night, that might be a challenge - fortunately we don't! At check in we did have cause to ask the hotel staff to double check the inclusion of breakfast which we believed we had booked. The staff on duty said she would talk to the manager come back to us as soon as possible. She, nor anyone else did - that was disappointing and let the hotel down.

The breakfast was good and the hotel was in an attractive location with great views. The staff were friendly and helpful. I made use of the swimming pool and the grounds around the hotel were well looked after .
I could noticeably hear the people in the room above walking about from 10pm until midnight and then was woken up at 4am by more footsteps. I raised this with reception the next morning and they were sympathetic, but said the people in that room were moving out that morning .The hotel was also full. The situation for my remaining three nights wasn't as bad as the first night ,but I was still disturbed from time to time. I did mention this to reception , but as the hotel was full , they said there was nothing they could do. It was a shame as I liked the hotel otherwise.

This was not my first visit to this excellent hotel. The accommodation is excellent and well maintained set in a very old building of great character. This is complimented by its excellent leisure facilities featuring a large indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Breakfast is served upstairs in the Wellington boot hotel, cooked to order (not the more usual buffet style which is often dried up) to ensure your individual tastes are met by efficient and friendly staff. Dinner or lunch is to the same standard offering a wide menu. The restaurant has beautiful views over Havelet bay and the choice of a second restaurant below provides a very different option of equal quality. There is a hotel bus that can provide an Island tour free of charge, which also runs to the harbour where you can connect to the UK, or Jersey, Sark, Herm or France for day trips or other breaks. The main centre of St Peter Port is about 15 minutes away on foot, taxis and hire cars can be arranged through the hotel at very competitive rates. The guest information includes emergency contacts and medical staff are always available through hospitals and clinics.
We were very satisfied during our visit and found nothing to complain about!

LOVELY HOTEL WITH GOOD FACILITIES, STAFF ARE GOOD AND VERY ATTENTIVE TOO. RESTAURANT IS VERY GOOD AS WERE THE POOL AND SPA FACILITIES. LOOKED AT THE HOTEL ALONG WITH ABOUT 5 OTHERS ON MY LAST VISIT TO THE ISLAND WHILST WORKING IN ABOUT OCTOBER AND EARMARKED THIS ONE TO STAY IN AND SEE HOW IT RUNS. I DO ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS AND HAVE BEEN POTENTIALLY LOOKING FOR A HOTEL THAT CAN PROVIDE A PLATFORM FOR OUR SHOW AND THIS ONE WAS THE MOST ATTRACTIVE TO ME. I DELIBERATELY BOOKED INTO THIS HOTEL WHILST ON A DANCE ENTERTAINMENT I WAS AT THIS WEEKEND. COULD WELL BE IN TOUCH WITH YOU GUYS IN THE NEAR FUTURE, THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING A REALLY NICE PLACE TO STAY FOR MYSELF AND MY FRIEND WHO MET ME OVER THERE.
GREAT STAY, NOTHING NEGATIVE TO REPORT

The room was comfortable with a large bed and good bathroom facilities. TV reception was good and tea and coffee making facilities were excellent. The on site restaurant and standard of the food was superb as were all staff. Swimming and jacuzzi were excellent. Beautiful courtyard with a fish pond.
It was perhaps unfortunate that we were staying while some renovation work to the old house that forms the main part of the hotel was going on. This meant a long diversion to the room up and down stairs.

Fantastic staff. All so friendly and helpful. Hotel immaculately maintained. Great indoor and outdoor bar areas. Pool area super clean and tidy, which in my experience is very unusual for hotels. Well done Havelet!
Top floor bedroom was rather small and dark. Some less mobile people may find the uphill walk to the hotel challenging.

The room was clean with great lighting and a good size. The bed was very comfortable and there was a reasonable sized fridge. The bath towels were a good size and of quality. The adjacent restaurant was excellent and accessed by a connecting tunnel as well. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room were very welcome after a long journey or a busy day.
The access road is narrow and on a hill but it is manageable. Would be good to know in advance about the top end of the road being closed. However, as far as the hotel is concerned all was good.

A very fine establishment. The hotel has remarkably attractive public sitting rooms on the ground floor and a truly lovely indoor pool. The reception staff were outstandingly helpful and flexible, making a huge difference to check-in and checkout arrangements. And the attached restaurant/bar is very good.
Our room was more average than the beautiful public facilities suggest. Bear in mind it’s a fifteen minute quite steep uphill walk from the center of St Peter Port.
