Excellent food very well cooked and presented. The addition of coffee and petits four was very welcome. A choice of dining room or bar - both pleasant - and exceptional service throughout. Comfortable, well-equipped room with private balcony, and spacious bathroom. Quiet location, convenient for the port and rest of the island. We would certainly go back again and would be happy to try other Hand Picked hotels.

A little more sun! Having said that we managed to skip all the showers. Had we stayed in our room we would have been perfectly content. Otherwise, there was nothing to improve on.

Breakfast was wonderful and the view out to the lake and fountain beautiful. Room service was very good. The room was comfortable and has a lovely balcony and view over the gardens. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The pool and spa and gym facilities were really splendid and we used them a lot. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We had a lovely holiday, thank you! :-)

The roads in Guernsey are very narrow and sometimes cars used the pavement at one side for more space to pass each other, which is a bit hairy if you are walking anywhere - you have to stay alert... Nothing to do with the hotel though, whose grounds are tranquil and relaxing.

Our room was exceptional, very clean and comfortable. The bed was the best hotel bed I have ever slept in and I slept very well. The provision of a small fridge in our room was very welcome. The breakfast menu was very good with great options for all tastes. The hotel being decorated for Liberation Day added to the experience as this was the reason we were there. (And will return in the future.)

The lack of power points in our room was a concern. I use a CPAP machine to sleep, as there wasn't a socket near the bed I had to run an extension cable across the floor which obviously became a trip hazard. A couple of USB charging points would also have been welcome.

Food very nice, although on two occasions kitchen struggled with the amount of people they had to cater for, however the staff worked their socks off trying to make amends. Always greeted us with a smile and remembered what drinks we liked. Moved us to a room with a better view with a smile!!! Plenty of free parking and helped us with luggage without being asked.

The food was nice, but perhaps could have had different choices on some days, eg catch of the day, special of the day?

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were superb. The spa was well equipped and very clean, with a lovely pool and hot tub and very good opening hours. The adjoining golf facility (Golf 19) was also excellent, with a testing 9 hole course, great driving range and really nice bar / restaurant. Although a bit out from town, it does mean there is space for lovely grounds and three tennis courts, and there are frequent busses into town and elsewhere (but worth getting a 2 day bus pass, or bus card).

What a beautifully hotel! The staff were excellent and we enjoyed dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and again the service was excellent. As a bonus our room had a hot tub on the balcony overlooking the lake. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer.

There was a wedding reception on down stairs which was a little noisy. However, staff made us aware of this at check in and did offer that we could move rooms if required. In the end we enjoyed listening to their music and I had a good night's sleep with earplugs.

The room was exceptional, I had a room with a garden view and a balcony. It was super comfortable. The breakfast was exceptionally good and the staff were so helpful and friendly.

The hot water wasn't hot enough for my liking and the furniture in the room looked a little tatty, for the price ot the room I would expect it to be finished to a high quality but it wasn't. Also the hot tub was under maintenance when I was there, which i get is important but I was disappointed as I wanted to use it every night I was there.

The staff are exceptional. I was in touch with Suzie, Concierge, before our stay. It was my mums 80th birthday treat. Suzie was incredible. Helping me every step of the way. We all need a Suzie in our lives! The hotel was well positioned on the island and it offered fantastic facilities: food, drinks, fabulous spa, tennis courts, golf course, Pirates crazy golf. Loved it!

If being really picky. I think the hotel in places is slightly dated but with the staff and everything else so excellent I would not hesitate in returning.

Most things at the hotel were of the highest standard. Most praise must go with the staff. Superb each and everyone of them. Nothing was too much trouble and they always dealt with you extremely efficiently and with a friendly smile. They were simply superb and definitely the number one reason that I would return. Breakfast was most definitely a feast and set you up well for the day.

The furniture in the room was slightly tired. I don't really want this to be construed too negatively as the room suited our stay and was immaculately clean.

Staff are so helpful and ensure that we were looked after .nothing is to much trouble . Food was lovely with so much to choose from at breakfast Sara works so hard to ensure guests are kept happy by her and her staff at breakfast. Paul in the bar area works so hard to ensure his staff deliver meals and drinks to guests and he dealt with a problem we had so professionally too

Bedroom could do with face-lift as furniture is well past it's best and also the lights
