Excellent hotel in great location. Small room but lovely and bright with a view of the sea. Comfortable enough for 2 people. Very clean. No air conditioning but I did see a fan in one of the rooms. Windows open and you do get a lovely sea breeze. Hotel gardens are beautiful. Staff extremely helpful. There isn’t a lift however Lindsay very kindly carried our heavy cases up 3 floors! Breakfast was included for us and was really good. Enough choices to be able to have something different every day. The hotel is up a hill however it is definitely not as bad as we were led to believe by other reviews. The whole of Guernsey is hilly but very walkable. We loved the Hotel Pandora and would definitely stay there again and can highly recommend it

The hotel is not fully obliged to answer the transportation difficulties encountered by guests, but the response given to me by the staff member of this hotel named Trond is a textbook example of customer service. He listed in detail the current operating status of each ferry company on this route and gave me the option of flying. The names and information of each ferry company and airline he mentioned were very accurate and exactly the same as what I had learned before. In the end, I found a piece of information about Newspaper Boat in his answer, which helped me travel from Guernsey to Jersey without delaying the subsequent trip. Thank you very much!

This is a real gem of a hotel. The building is very characterful with lots of Georgian and Victorian features. The staff were friendly, attentive and seemed to genuinely care about their guests and took pride in their roles. The communal lounge, bar, restaurant were excellent. My partner and I are both gluten free and they handled this very well. There are lots of thoughtful designer touches everywhere from lovely Guernsey made shower gels and uses of fresh local produce for breakfast. The gardens were stunning. A really pleasant surprise. As long as you are reasonably fit the location is great. The town centre, harbour and restaurants are just down the hill and the views are lovely. The guided tours of Victor Hugo's house just 2 doors down the hill, are fascinating and the garden has fantastic views.

Our room was good with some sea views and a nice bathroom but a little bit on the small side. This may be because we booked late though and there wasn't many rooms left. Water pressure in the shower was a bit low but adequate. The directions to the hotel from booking.com were very misleading. Whilst it did make sense to get off the bus at the top of the hill at Colborne Road, to wheel cases etc you then need to take the small road on the right (facing downhill). This initially goes uphill but then drops down sharply to the hotel. However if you downhill along the main road as stated you end up in completely the wrong end of town!

Breakfast was excellent, as were other meals we had at the hotel. The staff were always polite and responsive to requests. The location of the Hotel is close to the centre of St Peter Port, ( but unfortunately if you struggle walking it is up quite an incline ), but the view from the well kept gardens is very nice. The Hotel is very well situated for the Bus terminus, and this makes for great access to all the visitor locations around the island, and the fares are very reasonable too.

The original room we were allocated was a good size, but due to a problem we had to be moved, and the room we ended up in also had a problem, which we then needed to be moved from again. The final room was adequate but much smaller than the original room we were given :( it would have been nice to be offered some kind of compensation for having to move twice in two days). I think the hotel is carrying out some internal upgrading so it is reasonable to expect one or two hitches.

A lot has been done recently to bring this hotel up to modern standards. Whilst it's clearly still a work in progress with some areas looking a little tired and dated, other areas are just really quite beautiful. I'm certain when every area has been updated it's going to be one of the nicest hotels in Guernsey. All areas are clean and tidy. The food in the restaurant is of a very high standard (hot food and hot plates!) and the Tennerfest was exceptional. The hotel has beautiful gardens and views. Our room was small but had a generous amount of storage and a comfortable bed.

We didn't have much of a sea view from our room as there was condensation trapped in the glazing meaning we couldn't see a thing. Tiny TV with terrible Freeview signal which ended up cutting out completely. Smart TVs might be a good step forward. We didn't sleep too well because of noise in neighbouring rooms. We could hear someone stomping around, banging furniture at 1am, someone with a loud TV on at 7am on a Sunday (we had hoped for a rare lie in) and then housekeeping were hoovering. It was also a tad warm in the room. I'd bring ear plugs next time.

Restaurant and bar were lovely. Good breakfast, and the dinner we had in the restaurant was the best meal we had in Guernsey. The staff were very professional, courteous, helpful and well trained, from front of house to housekeeping. Really enjoyed the wonderful garden. View was excellent from our sea view room.

The bathroom of our sea view room was so tiny you could only use the sink, or get dried after a shower with the door open. Water pressure very poor in the shower (we were on the top floor, which did however give good views).

I loved the feel of the hotel - really great salons to relax and read in. My room was cozy and very clean, comfortable bed. I appreciated being able to dine there at night, The staff were generally friendly and helpful. I had laundry done twice for a reasonable fee, and it was returned the same day.

The heater in my room wouldn't turn down or shut off, which was okay with a window being left open. Breakfast was a little skimpy, and it seemed that garden seating in the breakfast room was reserved for guests who were paying a higher room rate. As a solo woman traveler, it's unpleasant to be relegated to the back of the room, but my overall stay was good.

Lovely hotel, beautiful garden, fabulous breakfasts, kind and thoughtful staff. Very spacious single room with cupboard, wardrobe & 7 drawers! 3,000 steps from the ferry terminal or about 18 minute walk. Up a hill but not as bad as I expected from the other descriptions. Bus tickets are £1.60 all over the island and you can hop on and off, just tap your debit card. There’s a co-op too just down the hill, handy for lunches and the bus terminal is a handy place to start for trips ( unless of course you’re driving!) out. Jersey is about £29 return for the day on the ferry and takes an hour. You can book online. Great stay!

Everything was lovely. But I would rebrand the chicken & vegetable madras as something different. I was expecting it to be mega hot, when it was medium ( which was good) other people might come to the same conclusion.

Lovely old hotel but modernised tastefully. The breakfast was excellent. Perfect poached eggs and great service. The garden was wonderful and was getting close, if not exceeding, the beauty of Victor Hugo’s garden, just a couple of doors down. Well worth the walk up from the bus station. Just use the stairway up rather than the roadway. You’re then so close to Hugo’s Hautville, you can enjoy the wonders of both properties. We were only there for one night and booked the cheapest third floor room. Worth it anytime.

Nothing. Brilliant place . Well done to the owners for keeping the atmosphere and original features of a lovely property. We wish them well and hope they continue for years to come.

A really lovely hotel, just a short walk from the heart of St Peter Port. The staff were all lovely and very friendly. Our room was a great size, clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was also really good, with a great selection to order from the cooked menu.

Our room (216) was a great size, however it was very noisy. Firstly, there was a central heating / water pipe in one corner of the room, so there was a constant sound of rushing water. The bathroom door had to be kept shut to muffle the sound of what sounded like an extractor fan all night. Finally the windows were very thin so every sound from outside was heard.
