Great to have the shuttle to the Mall of America! It was perfect and quick response to go and return each day! Great restaurant recommendations!

That the Whirlyball Restaurant attached closed before the Superbowl ended on that Sunday! A lot of local places closed early because it was a Sunday! I would have thought due to the Superbowl they would have made an exception, but that was not the case.

9.1

The hotel and rooms were super clean, there is a game center with a pool table, giant Connect 4 and board games in the common waiting area. It's across the street from the Mall of America and the hotel has a shuttle to take you to and from. We didn't use our car once this trip, so that was nice.

The pool must have some super potent chlorine and chemicals because my daughter's hair was wrecked after going to the pool, both times she went. We did multiple shampoos and conditioning sessions and you can still feel the chemicals in her hair. She's never had this problem before in any pool. Also, the walls are paper thin. You can hear every pin drop through the walls and doors.

The ease of check-in the night of my stay. The hotel clerk was very personable and professional. The breakfast was good. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Upon checkout, the next day at about 11:45 a.m., I informed the hotel clerk on duty that I am checking out now, but will return to get the remainder of my luggage. (5 minutes or less on walking to parking lot) I was then told via the clerk at about 5 minutes before physically checking out that actual checkout time was 11:00 am. I informed that I was informed via reservation checkout at 12 noon. She was not very personable nor helpful at checkout. In review of my reservation, it did state checkout was 12 noon. Moreover, the manager came to explain to me that she was simply doing her job. I didn't ask for a manager as nothing was happening. Checkout that morning was not a good experience with the morning clerk.

Cleanliness was top! Staff was friendly and went the extra mile to meet our needs. The continental breakfast included offered a wide variety of options. The fire located on the patio gave the place a nice homey touch.

It would have been good to have allergy lists for the continental breakfast for those with multiple allergies. The pool area was super slippery with the type of tiles use around the pool. The stairs going into the pool had slippery tiles place on the edge of each step. Our youngest slipped on these area multiple times.

The room is big, clean, has a big window, clean bathroom and towels. There is a shuttle to the MOA - very convenient!!

We stayed 3 nights and for the 2 breakfasts there weren't waffles, because the waffle makers broke. Also the 1st day we had omelets and croissant sandwiches. But on the next 2 days there were very few sandwiches and we had to wait 30 min to have some after asking, and no any omelets.

8.2

Good location for local activities. Surprisingly quiet when considering proximity to airport. Rooms are large enough, as are bathrooms. Available breakfast has plenty of options from real fruit to semi-tasteless waffles. Close to light rail, Mall of America. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Airport shuttle does not operate late. A cricket in our room was amusing until the second cricket showed up -- that was annoying. We captured the first one and liberated it.

Really impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Minimalist room with clean bath towels, comfy beds and ample lighting. Breakfast offered a variety of choices and they had to-go boxes which was nice. Excellent location. Complimentary hot water, tea coffee, and condiments were always replenished. Kudos to all the wonderful and hardworking staff at Tru!

Could use a little more water pressure in the shower but not a big deal. Wish we stayed longer!

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We absolutely loved that part of our stay. Loved that it is so close to the mall and air port, as well as the shuttle service. It was so convenient.

I would have liked a microwave in the room. Every time we wanted to warm up the food, we had to go down to the lobby. Plus the breakfast was not very nice. The waffel kept getting stuck to the iron and did not come out very well. So we opted for the omelet which was rather tasteless. But we didnt stay in the hotel for the breakfast. So we were very happy with our stay.

It really ticks all the boxes. The price is at the low end compared to the nearby MSP airport/Mall of America area…but I didn’t see any shortcomings that usually come with low prices. The staff were completely friendly and helpful…this was our first time staying at a hotel with our baby…a pack and play bed was provided and everything was taken care of. We took the shuttle to and from the Mall of America…it was quick and easy with a friendly driver. The facility is adjoined with a recreational bar that features whirly ball (look it up, looks wild), bowling, laser tag, and a bar making the hotel perfect for large groups.

clean, free and delicious breakfast everyday, loved the soap, lotion, shower cleanser, and shampoo and conditioner. Free shuttle to Mall of America. Lyft rides arrived fast. Great customer service.

The mattress was a little too firm for me but I slept well, my other 2 family members thought it was fine. At times it got a little too warm or too cold, but again I slept well.
