The location was a great asset. I was staying there with my dog while he was admitted to the ISU vet hospital. Allowing dogs was the main reason for my stay. The rooms were clean, the fitness center was a nice amenity, and the pool was relaxing. The beds were fairly comfortable. I didn't have any issues sleeping.

I didn't like the fact the there was no complimentary breakfast. Other cheaper hotels even had that. They said they had a restaurant, but it never seemed to be manned by anyone. Luckily, there were plenty of breakfast places nearby that I could walk to. Unfortunately, I had to book this hotel last minute during the week of college move in, so the prices were inflated.

I needed the room for a single night as I was coming in from Omaha to take my dog to the ISU vet center the following day. Didn't get to take advantage of too much in the hotel such as the pool or fitness center.

The fact that they don't have a complimentary breakfast is a big hit. The vast majority of mid-priced or budget hotel have a breakfast. It is something I really look for when I have to stay multiple days. The restaurant they said that was on site didn't ever seem to be occupied. Not sure if I just had to wave down kitchen staff to get food, but luckily there were plenty of place around to get food.

The hotel is nice and the room was clean.

The bathroom needs work. The lid on the toilet was only hanging on by one side so would slide off every time someone used it. The bathtub/shower was horrible. The tub was clearly installed with no bracing underneath and had the loudest creaking noise with every step or turn during our shower. We could even hear the shower creak in the room above ours!

kinda old inside. could have had the hallways vacuumed. the pictures on the site showed what to look like a hot tub. Even the front desk staff acknowledged that it looks like a hot tub. But, it’s not! it’s a freakin baby pool!!!

The lady at the front desk who tried to find a bellman's cart when we checked in at 11:00PM

Not your fault but I didn't like the selfish guest who kept the cart in his/her room all night where no one else could use. I'd like to make him 73 years old with a bad back and carry my wife's oxygen concentrator.

clean and easily accessible

Staff was not as friendly as other properties, they were not rude just not very interactive. Would have been nice if sidewalks were shoveled and parking lot plowed but it’s winter in the Midwest so we made due.

The check-in and check-out was very fast and easy. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful! The room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and not stained!!! But what I liked the most was the fact there was a thermostat on the wall to control the room temperature!!!! You didn't have to worry about the heat/air conditioner blowing the curtains around! The location had a gas station across the street and was one exit away from more eating and shopping places. The area was very quiet!

The only thing that puzzled me was the lack of housekeeping. I stayed for a whole week and not one time during that week did the housekeeping crew stop to dump trash, or see if I needed clean wash cloths or towels. Thought that was kind of weird.

Went to this location in Ames Iowa for quick visit with out daughter in college. Pool was reopened and very happy for that since hubby loves pools! Wifi service worked perfectly for daytime remote working.

The rooms are a bit dated and bathroom had cracks in the tile floor.

the room was very clean and comfortable. Pool is great (wish there was a hot tub). Good water pressure. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Pillows are a little flat.

The only reason it was not a 10/10 stay was the staff did not uphold their own mask requirement policy posted on the front door. There was zero enforcement of it in the lobby and the front desk staff rarely had their mask on.

The bed was very comfortable

We were expecting a full breakfast, but that was not the case. It’s a good thing we had a refrigerator and microwave in our room. Not having the breakfast was a bit disappointing. But we managed.
