Booked 2Q. We were allowed early checkin at 2, and given a suite with a lockable bedroom, 2 tv's, 2 fridges and 2 a/c's. One fridge and a/c were unplugged and we never used them. No dining table or couch but desk, chair, tables, power and charging outlets, lights, dressers, mirrors, big closet with extra blankets /pillows. One sink, outside the bathroom. A window in each room, and the inner bedroom window had a beautiful expansive view of PCC (city college) which is in front of the hotel. Clientele polite. Staff always around and approachable though we never needed to contact them. Canopied picnic spots and a vending machine along the parking lot.

Outside corridors so-so, but the inside of the room was very clean. B'fast was bread, small packs of whipped butter, jam, wrapped pastries, low fat and whole milk, dispensed rolled oats, cheerios and frosted cornflakes, OJ, tea, hot water, etc. No fruit, but plentiful and adequate.

This is, hopefully, an addition to my first review. The fan inthe bathroom was almost silent and you couldn't hear it outside of the bathroom. The door hinges were balanced and well-oiled and silent. This makes a difference when someone is up and down at night. The staff was superb, as I mentioned in my first review. This place is a hidden gem!

Tiny details I mentioned in my first review. VERY minor. The bed table light had only one, bright light that could be a problem if one person wants to read and the other wants to sleep. Again, Not a big deal.

Comfort and cleanliness are what I have come to expect from this property. I am a returning customer and this is the primary reason for me in combination with consistent value. In addition they always respond to any special requests in a timely manner even if it is to say they are unable to accommodate my request at the time.

I have been accustomed to getting a warm breakfast included with our room. I was not informed beforehand that this was no longer available to guests. I was disappointed more that I was not informed prior to booking than not having a warm breakfast available with my room.

HoJo Pasadena is my go to place when visiting So Calif. The best value & quality in the area. Dependable cleanliness and comfort. I have come to know some of the staff by face and name, always a welcoming smile. I appreciate the improvements and upgrades that have been going on, love the paint jobs and new wall designs in the rooms.

I miss the hot breakfasts HoJo used to provide with your booking, but besides that still a great deal.

It's a nice convenient location we came here for universal Studios it's only 20 minutes away. It's nice Hotel old fashioned but nice. Tommie the front desk amazing gentleman.

The only thing we did not like was that the roof began to leak on our bed their was roof damage and it was pouring that morning we woke up to our bed being wet at 6 am. My Husband went and informed Tommie and he was very understanding and helpful.

The room was small but comfortable. I appreciated having both a desk and table in my room. The rooms are older but well-kept. I had a problem with getting hot water in the shower, but when I reported it, it was taken care of while I was out and about. The front desk man even offered to move me into a different room, although I declined his kind offer. Both staff members I worked with were pleasant.

The breakfast was good and healthy choice!!

They wouldn't let me checking in first at 6 pm on Monday night because my brother was in the hospital for dialysis and he was not off until after 10 pm. Even thought I begged them, the front desk receptionist still using the pandemic rule to enforce my situation, but I thought the whole Los Angeles and Pasadena city is now changing to orange color. Then she called the manager and he was unfriendly and didn't understanding my situation. I felt that I was mistreated and I had to hang around in the cold for another 4 hours until my brother finished his dialysis. This was very depressing and I will not coming back to that place any more. If they were strictly by the law, how come when we got the keys and they never needed to check our temperature everyday??

Friendly staff. Quick check in. Located right on the parade route. Clean but with strong chemical smell. You do get used to it but it's noticeable. Maybe it would help to air out the room? Everything was in good condition. They provide breakfast but I slept right through it. Oh !! The mattress was great. So comfy.

The smell .. and oh yes... Very tight parking.

The staff was real nice and helpful. The room itself was cozy and comfortable with nice clean beds, bathroom, and towels. The room even had a bottle opener on the wall, perfect if you’re having fun with friends and booze!

The only ice machine was at the bottom floor only. Wish they could’ve had one on every floor. Also the television kept freezing while watching it.
