Loved how it’s right in the downtown area, and it was so convenient to walk just a short distance to restaurants and stores. The lobby and pool area were a pleasant area to hang out in. All the staff were very friendly and professional. We had a noise issue with guests in the room next to us who were partying at 2 am. We called the front desk about it and eventually the guests stopped. The next morning, we came down to the front desk and I was impressed how it was handled by the woman there at the front desk where she expected us to come down to bring up the issue, and we were more than enough compensated for the trouble, providing us late checkout, offering us free breakfast, and refunding us a significant amount from our bill. Overall, we left very satisfied with our stay, and I would certainly stay there again.

Although the lobby area was beautiful, the room itself was a bit dated. The bathroom sink area and toilet shower area especially could use an update.

The best thing about this hotel is its great location in Old Town Pasadena. We had a dinner reservation at Cafe Santorini (excellent!) and our Navigator app showed the distance at just a four minute walk. It's an even a shorter walk to some good local bars we enjoyed, like the Blind Donkey and Speakeasy. Our room was comfortable and quiet and we got a great night's sleep.

We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Old Town but two minor negatives were: 1) There was very little counter space at the bathroom sink for getting ready, especially for two people, and 2) The breakfast was super-average and buffet style, even though you could order eggs any way; I'd definitely try walking to a local breakfast spot next time.

Quality starts at the top … whoever the manager is knows how to hire the right people. I have traveled the world: Europe, Central America, the Caribbean, and 47 out of 50 US states … and have never experienced the level of hospitality at Courtyard by Marriott Pasadena. My wife was having open heart surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital and I needed a home away from home for one week. Everyone, and I mean everyone seamlessly and unselfishly enabled our family to attend to my wife’s medical needs. Coming back soon for her follow up appointment !!!

how well I was taken care of. the staff is well trained to overcome problems and to advert problems in the first place! there were only 2 rooms to choose from when I arrived. I was miffed about that. if I had known I would’ve left earlier, I didn’t realize it was first come first serve but the staff actually took me around to the rooms and let me take my time in deciding I was quite happy after that.

there was nothing I didn’t like. It was in a great location and I really enjoyed parking on my floor and then wheeling my luggage without taking an elevator. I had a lot of stuff with me so that was a real plus.

I like the valet service and the fireplace. There was also an outdoor jacuzzi. The room was close to the elevator.

I was suprised and insulted that the cost for which I signed up was $302 when booked and then I was charged $402. The taxes are acceptable but the charge for incidentals of which we used none was unwarranted. They said they would keep that money for 5 days and then return it to my account. What are they doing collecting interest on my money for which I did not authoroze them? Deceptive at best -criminal at worst.

Our first room had only a small window (overlooking some palm trees nevertheless), and the receptionist (called Joy) went out of her way to change the room into something with a nicer window (without palm tree view), offering several alternatives and then showing us the selected room first before finalizing the change.

They promised to clean the room every 3 days (which is fine for us, given the manpower and energy savings), but the first 3-day cleaning failed to show up. A minor issue that was quickly resolved by the second 3-day cleaning round.

It was very easy to get to where the conference was that we were attending. Staff were so friendly & helpful going above & beyond in helping us. Loved the hot tub, especially after a day of sightseeing.

A greater variety for breakfast. There was no where to put clean clothes when having a shower apart from the floor of on the toilet cistern!!

I was in town for Universal studio. The hotel price was fine and it better than other hotel fee. My bed was comfortable and our room is very clean. Parking garage close to your room level. Free Breakfast was really good with the price.

The room is next to the street and can hear cars drive by. I can hear noise in the hallway. Ac machine turn on randomly and even the thermostat is off. I couldn't close my window blinds.

everything about this hotel was amazing! it was in a great location for the festival i was attending to. The staff was AMAZING! they were so nice and always made sure i had everything i needed. Also there were many food places to eat at. definitely coming back to here when I'm back in town! and they do offer onsite parking, which i always look for when booking. Also the only way to enter the building from the parking garage is using your room key!

The property was beautiful. From the moment we entered the lobby, we knew we were in for a treat. Not only was this hotel walking distance from every place we’d want to see in Old Town/Downtown Pasadena, but it was comfy and beautiful enough to not feel like we had to rush out every day. The gentlemen in Valet were so sweet as were the check-in desk employees. Even the lady in the Starbucks (located inside the lobby) was super sweet! we ended up booking an extra night last minute because we had such a great time.
