The breakfast selection was excellent - I loved the yogurt, English muffins, turkey sausage, eggs and fruit. The availability of fresh cold water and coffee throughout the day was a bonus. Very nice laundry facility and fitness room. The location is fantastic - the SF bay is right behind the hotel and you can watch planes taking off and landing, as well as watching pelicans and ducks splash and swim. You can safely walk across the bridge on Broadway and visit the shops and restaurants in Burlingame - another great feature of this hotel.

TV didn’t work

No luxury so expectations have to be lower but for the price- great staff, newly refurbished, airport shuttle and good breakfast (simple but again, for the price, it set me off for a good start of the day). Fresh coffee was available all the time. I microwave in the room too. I rate the hotel 8 based on the price, there are nicer hotels but they are much more costly.

great location, very pleasant, on the waterfront , the swimming pool looked great although i didnt have enough time, very sunny and clean. room looked out on the water, but not noisy. felt very safe there as a single female. front desk staff helpful. good value. very nice old fashioned american diner just next to the hotel, which had live piano, bass, and drums with singer music !!! lovely food there.

i made 3 phone calls and two emails to try to arrange early check in, as i was arriving at 8 am from australia, and was departing at 9 pm the same day. i explained that i was happy to pay an extra supplement (on top of the usual 50$) if they could guarantee early check in, but no success. this was stressful. however, when i arrived, there was no problem, and looking at the number of customers/ car park etc, i doubt this hotel is ever completely overbooked, as the rooms are old style (although quite comfortable).

Big Rooms. Good seating. Fully loaded toiletries. Courteous staff. Sumptuous breakfast. Always On Black Coffee. Some great restaurants just outside the hotel. Far from the madding crowd! And most importantly, free shuttle to/from SFO Airport, And shuttle in reasonable frequency. Great Value For Money. And if you have an evening to spare, you dont have to go to SFO. There is this quaint little Burlingame neighborhood you can walk around, eat and have a leisurely evening.

Close to the airport, free shuttle & exceptional continental breakfast. I chose this hotel in part because of the breakfast reviews and it did not disappoint. Staff was helpful.

Hotel was 45 mins away from where I wanted to explore SF so I chose to stay in. Priority was proximity to the airport so it was a trade off for one convenience over another. I was unable to check in early but I did not give advance notice for my request.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express San Francisco Airport South was very enjoyable, mainly due to its great location near the airport. The breakfast also exceeded my expectations, especially for US standards, offering a variety of tasty options.

Honestly, there wasn't much to criticize about my stay. If I had to nitpick, perhaps the only slight inconvenience was the absence of any notable negatives, which, paradoxically, leaves me with little to comment on in terms of improvement. The hotel managed to meet all of my expectations, making it difficult to pinpoint areas for criticism.

The lady who prepared the breakfast is very friendly and cheerful. The receptionists are all professional and helpful. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The hotel is full of sunshine.

We booked bay view room which was very nice, but the screen window was too dirty, might need a replacement.

Our 1st Time and Definitely not Our last. My husband and I Enjoyed Our Accommodations from the Friendly Staff, Wonderful Hot and Tasty Breakfast, Comfortable bed and Room to the Good Smelling Cookies baking every afternoon. Thank you again for Our Very Comfortable and Cost Sufficient Fair Prices for the Whole weekend! We will Be Back!

The Good Smelling Cookies 🍪 were so Popular that if you weren't in the lobby when they were brought out, you missed out.

Yummy breakfast. Cinnamon rolls were awsome. Anytime free coffee, tea, chocolate milk, water, fruits and snacks. Century old restaurant in front of the hotel was very good and gives 10% discount for hotel inmates. Apart from that there was an Italian restaurant 3 course meal with dessert just for $15...one of the best in that area.

The staff was great. I arrived early, and was able to check in. I had problems getting my key to work and the front desk was great in checking for themselves that it would open the door. Breakfast was good. I really liked that the air conditioning was not a noisy unit on the wall. I barely heard it come on.
