Well situated for my needs, definitely an older Holiday Inn Express but it offered everything I needed and expected from a Holiday Inn.

Walking between buildings wasn’t ideal in the rain. The gym was also very limited with one of the three pieces of the equipment out of order.

The staff for check-in and in the bistro (dinner and breakfast) were outstanding - helpful and friendly

When I booked, I did not realize there would be extra charges when I checked in. I was charged and extra $25 for incidentals (which was not refunded as of yet) and then another $19.95 for parking. These extra charges were not on the website when I booked, and I searched for a site that had free parking. I guess i assumed it would have been free parking as were not in what I considered a downtown area. Without going back and checking - I do not believe there was anything on the website that indicated there would be either of these extra charges.

The place is really clean. Even though the photos posted are not convincing because the hotel looks really old, but the room exceeded my expectations. The bedroom is also very spacious and comfortable.

The hotel and furniture looks old. A renovation to make it look new would be good. The lighting inside the room is also too dark for me. I am from Seattle, and this is my first time going to San Francisco and I'm kind of shocked that I have to pay extra for parking.

The room was spacious and generally well-equipped. The staff were very helpful, and minor problems (too few hangers, sink didn't drain) were fixed immediately. The hotel is on the route to the airport and about a 4-minute drive to the center of San Mateo,.

The daily parking charge brings up the cost of the room far enough that I would consider booking a different hotel with more amenities. No lid on the toilet in the bathroom is both inconvenient and unsanitary. The hotel gives guests a wifi password, but we could not find a connection to a secure network.

The place is clean, has big rooms, and parking is available, but it’s paid.

It would be nice if the staff were a bit friendlier. It’s okay overall, though not as good as you’d expect in the U.S., where staff are usually very friendly and helpful.

We liked it a lot, thank you! Nice room & liked the location. The staff were sweet & everything was simply easy & clean.

The shower curtains were not keeping water in as well & we were feeling bad, cause we made a big water mess afterwards.

The manager cuz I manager I can't remember his name specifically but he's tall Caucasian very sweet guy he helped us out amazingly the hotel that we stayed at previous took too much from our account so that when we went to go stay there at the Holiday inn we were good for one day and then the rest they took out of our account so in return we thought it already paid for the day and he came to us at 8:00 at night and we were having problems with our card we didn't realize that they didn't take the money out but being the amazing guy that he is he did a nice gesture & INSTEAD OF KICKING US OUT AND MAKING US LEAVE..HE ALLOWED US TO STAY THE BE NIGHT AND CHECK OUT IN THE MORNING AROUND 11AM & COMPED US FOR THAT NIGHT.. HE LITERALLY made our time the best possible honestly we owe a lot to that guy he's an amazing person and he gave us the best stay of my life I would go there again in a heartbeat! We love him!! Thank you

Location great! Staff friendly. The only negative was our room was on the second floor, and with an open balcony outside our door, we heard the piped in music at night.
