The manager cuz I manager I can't remember his name specifically but he's tall Caucasian very sweet guy he helped us out amazingly the hotel that we stayed at previous took too much from our account so that when we went to go stay there at the Holiday inn we were good for one day and then the rest they took out of our account so in return we thought it already paid for the day and he came to us at 8:00 at night and we were having problems with our card we didn't realize that they didn't take the money out but being the amazing guy that he is he did a nice gesture & INSTEAD OF KICKING US OUT AND MAKING US LEAVE..HE ALLOWED US TO STAY THE BE NIGHT AND CHECK OUT IN THE MORNING AROUND 11AM & COMPED US FOR THAT NIGHT.. HE LITERALLY made our time the best possible honestly we owe a lot to that guy he's an amazing person and he gave us the best stay of my life I would go there again in a heartbeat! We love him!! Thank you

friendly staff, easy to check in/out. we arrived early and were able to keep our suitcases at the hotel until our room was ready. no shortage of parking. housekeeping did a great job tidying up and giving us enough shampoo/conditioner/soap. Great location, only 5 min from downtown San Mateo with great restaurants.
didn't realize breakfast was not included. some other guests were very loud (one man banging on and shouting through a door down the hall for ~30 min), at no fault of the hotel.

The room was perfectly located to my end destination. I got a free room upgrade and that was a pleasant surprise.
There were a lot of random stains on the walls, the window was opened which was odd and made the room very cold. and discovered how dusty and dirty the curtains were. It was pretty gross to touch.

Bed was comfortable--very! Liked the table and the desk--they were useful.
There was no shampoo in bathroom; thankfully, my wife brought some. Noticed next to the coffee machine, on the carpet, there were a couple of things on the floor that had not been picked up. Also, we took the stairs instead of the elevator: there were a few dirty towels at the bottom of the stairs--all three days. I imagine they are still there.

The beds were comfortable the king suite was nice employees were nice.
In the advertisement it said there is a Jacuzzi and a pool which there was not. There was a sauna but it was broken and it’s been broken for the last month unfortunately.

Room was clean and huge. We had the queen suite so it was really roomy. Also breakfast wasn't bad. front desk girl was helpful.
Noisy because the highway is nearby. Toilet wouldn't flush. Tried to ask for a maintenance guy but they are sent home at night. So we asked for a plunger and took care of it myself. No biggie.

Gustavo in the restaurant was great. He was waiter and bartender both for a full restaurant on Christmas Eve and worked with effeciency and good humor. Very easy access from freeway.

Cleanliness, quality of toiletries and amenities, appliances in the room, comfy bed. It is also quite close to the airport and shopping complex/restaurants.
The front staff were helpful initially but when I needed more support, they just stopped responding.

Room is huge. Clean. Nice coffee & tea machine in your room, with tasty selections. Front desk staff are lovely people.
Location: I came without a car. Its not a very common thing to do there, because the interesting areas of San Mateo are like 30 minutes walking from there, or more.
