The Executive Hotel

Very good location, good wifi and helpful staff. The hotel has good views to the city. Car rental just around the corner. A quiet place in the center. Basically, it is ok for a short stay.

Double beds were too small for 2 people. Toilets are separated from the room by a matted sliding glass door - basically, there is no door, so no sound proofing. Matted glass window from the room to the shower lets you see what does a silhouette of a person do there. Breakfast could also be more wide - and they don't offer juices available on the buffet table, you have to ask waiter for it. In the evening you may wait for the food for too long - we were waiting for mojito for about 30 mins.

Food was great. The hotel was clean. Some (not all) the staff were friendly.

When I came back from a short walk, I was approached by one of the clerks and he asked me in a rude manner if I was staying in that hotel and demanded me to show him the key of my room. Being an African American, this question and the way I was asked, made me feel discriminated against. I wonder if it is the hotel policy to ask everyone who comes back to their room for proof of being a guest or they do that to just some people that might seem suspicious to them because of the way they look or because of the color of their skin.

Amazing hotel, very polite welcoming stuff who made my stay unforgettable , spotless clean and comfortable rooms. Very nice location with many cafes and restaurants around, close to metro station, bus stops. Breakfast was excellent with endless choices. Muchas gracias for everything x

Everything was fine the location of the hotel is superb, rokms and hotel looks exactly like the photo, rooms were cleaned daily had a wonderful stay. Getting around was easy . You can walk to many places if you are up to it. There are pharmacies, night clubs, bars , via espana street with plenty of shops nearby . I love the location of the hotel.

The only issue was the wifi in our room wasn't working properly in our room. I was there for 7 days and only got good wifi on the 6th day . Would stay here again but wifi needs to upgraded.

The Executive Hotel serves a nice, basic buffet breakfast. The location is great and easy walking distance to the metro, the sea and restaurants. I took tours from the hotel and was picked up on time. The room was clean, with a nice balcony overlooking the city.

The only thing I did not like is that I was told I would be picked up from the airport and they never showed up. When I called for a second time, they said they did not have anyone to pick me up, so I ended up taking a $30 taxi ride. This also left me the last passenger to leave the airport, and as a single woman and 10 taxi drivers after my fare, did not feel comfortable. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was for airport pick-up. Also, twice I asked for walking directions right outside the hotel and was given incorrect directions! One from a hotel employee and one from a taxi driver.

The location & ease of access to get an Uber to main destinations. There is also a metro nearby. The location was also walking distance to a pharmacy to get any general items & a general shopping area is about 10 minutes from the hotel including some restaurants. The Cinta Costera can also be accessed walking from the hotel. Most tourist destinations within Panama City are within a few minutes drive from the hotel. Special thanks to the staff who checked me in ( did not get his name) and Abdiel (works in the restaurant) for always attentive service & willingness to answer any questions. The hotel was clean and had the general amenities. It is worth the money.

Everything was generally fine-as a native English speaker, I felt that the hotel staff could be more familiar with the English language but this was a general trend at some locations throughout Panama City.

Bed was super comfortable. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly despite some language challenges. They told us where to go shopping for a sim card for our phone. Lots of options for breakfast--including vegetarian choices. Breakfast staff was also friendly. Nice pool area.

Our bathroom was very small without much privacy (sliding glass door that didn't close all the way). Shower could have been cleaner--there was some mold. The entire breakfast could have been run better. For example, there was no dispenser for cold water. If you wanted water, it was necessary to ask an employee. Similarly, there wasn't tea or hot water available, so you had to ask a staff member. When the breakfast area was busy, it could be difficult to obtain water and tea. The coffee at breakfast was pretty terrible!

The personnel at reception is very kind and helpful. There was a problem with my room and they immediatelly changed me into a suite. I didn't ask but they decided to upgrade me. The suite was really big and comfortable. The swimmimg pool was a bit small but the swimmimg pool area is cute. The gym is well equipped.

The breakfast was good but the choice was quite limited. The location of the hotel is convenient, not far froim the Casco Viejo, but at night there are sex workers in the area. That didn't bother us, because we moved in uber or taxi but fyi.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and with an eye to detail. Organised and thought through. The room was perfect, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom modern with a powerful hand and overhead shower. A hairdryer was provided upon request. There is a safe in your room and lots of storage. There was a coffee machine with good coffee replenished as you wished and the usual toiletries provided which seemed good quality when I used them- I am generally a little sceptical about quality and pleasantly surprised when I did here. It's an intimate hotel where the staff seriously appear to care about it's reputation. The cleaning was top notch including the pool where I noted the pool attendant assiduously removing even a few leaves if they dropped in. The pool is not large so don't stay if you are a serious swimmer but this is in fairness obvious from the photos. The breakfast was good and I noted that a past review had suggested coffee being provided such that you could get your own, lo and behold the hotel have clearly acted on this suggestion- this being just one example of a hotel that cares about it's guests. The gym deserves a shout out if you want to use it with good machines and selection of weights. The hotel is in a good area and there is a supermarket a couple of minutes away. Bottles of water were however helpfully provided in your room daily. I noted a negative review regarding the lifts, in my few days there I never noticed a problem waiting, of course it doesn't always come right away but that is to be expected. I never waited more than a minute or two if that. The hotel is a short Uber ride away from the old town area just a few dollars and 10-15 mins drive. I used Uber all the time in Panama City- both safe and plentiful cars when you need them. The hotel will store your luggage for you on your day of departure. The hotel is about 20 dollars from the International airport by Uber.

Nothing really, it was all great and very good value for money. If I had to point one thing out it would simply be about pool bar service- again didn't bother me as I drank water but it wasn't clear to me how one would order food or drinks. There was in fairness a phone there and a menu but it might be helpful to have some sort of signs up. I would also say that whilst a great hotel it's not a family hotel in the sense of children staying by the pool all day with children's entertainment. Kind of obvious by it's name although this is not only a business hotel.

This property is a hidden gem. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in. The environment is familiar with staff who cares and who helps. There are only few rooms per floor what makes it quiet enough and enhances the familiar feeling. The hotel is not new but is so well maintained with attention to cleanness that feels good to be in. Breakfast is great, well prepared with some local food as a part of the buffet. Their restaurant works all day with great options. The gym is also clean, well maintained and well equipped. This is not an area where you’ll find lots to do, it’s an area of banks and hotels with some supermarkets and a couple of cafes at less than 5 minutes walk. There’s a fenomenal bakery with organic products across the street. Uber to Casco Viejo costs around 3 USD and takes aprox 10 min. All in all I had a great stay and would definitely stay again.
