W Panama

I went to the hotel for my birthday and I had the most amazing time there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I want to say a big thank you to Eric for helping me get around! I wanted to leave the hotel to get a drink by myself and he made sure to call a Uber for me and translate in Spanish to the Uber driver where I wanted to go and what time he should pick me up back. If you're ever here in Panama please ask them to call a Uber for you, it is way cheaper than to call a taxi and it is safe🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 sending love from Jamaica. Eric es un miembro del personal del hotel. GIBELLI ESPINOSA is the best . I didn’t get the room I booked at first however GIBELLI ESPINOSA made my last couple days magical. The hotel is clean and surrounded by everything .. They have lots of entertainment every night.

The breakfast was not good they had stew every day no variety of meat choices. The pool need desperate renovation but other than that it’s amazing..

The shower could fit 8 people and the tub in my room was amazing. My room had 3 TV, one in front of the bed., one next to the tub and one in from the sofa. I had a room with a terrace/balcony excellent view. The staff is friendly, Issac provided excellent Customer service. The food was really good from the restaurant on the property.

Only issue was minor: the toilet paper was rougher than I am used to using.

The property is well set up in a central location in Panama City. The ground level acts purely as an entry with check in desk on an upper floor. This provides privacy and a coming home feeling rather than returning to a busy lobby each time.

The rooms done have the best sound proofing so you can hear mumbling from adjoining rooms there could be better indication in the elevator and around the hotel as to where the gathering areas are for the hotel. The hotel should make more of an effort to beautify the street surrounding the main entrance.

Was upgraded to a larger room on early arrival which was greatly appreciated. If you use Uber it is so easy to move around Panama. The trips are usually $3-6.00. The W hotel has a lovely breakfast with a breathtaking view of the city. Alex at the front desk was very polished and helpful. Great lady at the concierge who was always very helpful. Front door staff was also very helpful. Breakfast staff very polished. Great staff at the W. Room staff was also excellent. You can't go wrong choosing this location.

Hard to see floor numbers on the elevator. Need better lights there.

The room was very spacious and modern with a very unique design. The Sunday brunch was great. Everything smelled very good, the toiletries were excellent. The TV and WiFi worked well. The minibar was well stocked with an array of snacks and it wasn't terribly overpriced. The desk clerks were outstanding, very polite and helpful. The property itself was reasonably clean and maintained. This property anywhere else would be far more expensive. Based on what I saw in the city, this was far better maintained than other properties. The location was central/near the financial district, but be forewarned that Panama City itself it a bit worn down looking. There is no beach nearby, although the Pacific Ocean is visible from the city itself.

Was disappointed with the view/would have preferred to see the water but it wasn't awful. Most of the room staff were good, although the needing to check on the minibar and disturb our sleep was annoying. The restaurant staff were a bit standoffish and borderline rude. The pool could use some updating/the tiles were crumbling and in need of repair, but the pool area itself was still very nice.

I only spent 1 night at the W whilst my friends spent the whole week here. It met our needs. Good location, clean, helpful staff. I personally loved the funky decor, views a tad better than that offered at the other hotel I stayed at. Caught nice sunsets from room 1605 with pool view. Actually used the pool, nice area. Ate at the restaurant/bar next to reception and the meal was decent. Overall I do recommend it.

Some didn't like that the lobby area is not as you walk into the hotel, it's a few floors up.

The room was phenomenal! The staff was amazing! The sauna and steam room were amazing! No complaints. The room was clean and the view was perfect.

We booked massages at the spa, but were charged for facials and more expensive massages than what we received. The receptionist was very polite and able to correct the charge, but I'm really glad we asked for a print out before we left or we would have been charged for something we didn't receive.

We had a corner Junior Suite. The room was spacious and the bed was as comfortable as one would expect from a W hotel. The front desk staff really went the extra mile, when we needed to do a rather short notice COVID test for our next flight, they managed to get someone to do the test for us at the hotel within just 2 hours

For a Junior Suite, the room was not impressive. The view was rather disappointing, looking at office towers and a parking lot right opposite. The seating was rather lacking with a weird 2-seater that was very uncomfortable and way too small to be able to lie on it. Breakfast was also quite underwhelming, not sure if that was due to COVID, but the selection was super limited

Love the hotel. All of the staffing were excellent. Well mannered and professional. In morning breakfast seating Daisy and Gabriel went beyond to assist myself and family. At PB Daniel and not sure of his name. Bald headed dark skin guy(david maybe). Can’t recall their last name. But they attended to our needs cery good. They ladies that clean room 1625 1703 1616 1908 and 1608 for the week of August 27-September 5. Were very good. They guys that served at the pool were very professional. I will definitely return to W-Panama in future trips

I attempted to reserved a room for a family member for a night l was told that l had to do it thru the site. And at the end i was trying to reserved for February 26-thru March 6. The rate for the balcony was super high.
