How can a hotel be so beautiful? Our stay was simply fabulous in all areas. The rooms are exactly as in the photos - furnished with great attention to detail and fantastically beautiful. We were particularly impressed by the high-quality care products, the fresh milk in the fridge and the home-baked biscuits - all of which made us feel very welcome. Another highlight: free beach towels and sun hats to borrow - a great service that makes your stay by the sea even more relaxing. The breakfast left nothing to be desired: a varied selection at the cold buffet as well as freshly prepared hot dishes that could be ordered in addition. The restaurant was also great - with a wonderful ambience, very good food and a garden that is not only beautifully laid out but can also be used by hotel guests. The staff were friendly, attentive and exceptionally courteous throughout - you can really feel their commitment and hospitality here. Conclusion: A place to feel good and come back to - we were completely thrilled!

everything was perfect from start to finish, staff were great, management were spot on, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was plentiful and coffee free flowing, bar service was good, bed very comfortable, and hotel very clean.

door slamming at night. and people seem to gather at the front entrance to smoke, which is a bit off putting as the smoke travelled up through our window into the bedroom and the amount of fag butts outside is a bit of a put off,

The breakfast was amazing. Wide choice of hot options and a continental style buffet as well. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room were excellent. There was a coffee machine with a range of pods and fresh milk along with delicious home made biscuits. The garden was a lovely place to sit with a cup of tea in the afternoon sun.

The room was a little warm - but open windows soon solved the problem.

Pretty much all needs catered for.Absolutely superb food, lovingly prepared and presented. Helpful attentive staff without being intrusive. A general feeling that every guest is treasured.

A small problem really but the bed felt as though a 5ft mattress topper had been put on a 4'6' bed so the edge of the bed was a bit floppy. Some hand soap or solution just for the washbasin instead of having to move it from the shower to the basin and back Piped music a bit loud in the garden area

It is a fantastic boutique hotel with some very nice touches. It's well worth a romantic stay for a couple. Staff were helpful and friendly and the service was exceptional. Rooms are lovely with big comfortable beds, and large bathrooms, our room having a large freestanding clawfoot bath. The Blonde Hedgehog doesn't disappoint with their excellent restaurant. A lovely long weekend.

Our weekend was over too quickly.

We stayed in The Corner House which was lovely and perfect for our needs. It felt luxurious and cosy all at the same time and the balcony in the en-suite was a real sun trap. One of our best memories of the island is of sitting having lunch and listening to live music in the beautiful garden on Saturday with a glass of Rose. Staff were also really helpful and accomodating.

Nothing really to be honest. My only suggestion not a criticism as we loved our stay is that perhaps it would be good to have a shower in the main bathroom. All the family used our shower which was obviously fine but for friends staying it may be slightly more awkward and there is more than enough space but the bathroom is beautifully done.

The room - Le Marais Suite - was spacious, very comfortable and tastefully furnished. The chef is clearly a star - the bread and croissants were fabulous and I had some delicious meals. The staff were so friendly. The garden was very pretty.

Nothing I didn’t like though I did wonder why the B&B rate is continental only. I saw this cause a bit of confusion with other guests.

Such a gorgeous hotel, decorated with a mix of classic features and modern styling. The room was bigger than we expected with lots of light and a massive bathroom. Lots of space in the hotel inside and out to enjoy. Location was perfect for exploring the island

The staff were lovely on the whole but could have gone even further to make it a more personal experience. Since it is an expensive boutique hotel it would have been a lovely touch to add a couple of chocolates or biscuits into the room to go with the tea and coffee facilities, or a personalised welcome note for us.

Excellent breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Karen couldn’t do enough to help.

The dinner menu should be a little more extensive ie include steak within a boutique hotel. The doors to the guest rooms banged quite loudly so the soft close arms should be adjusted to actually close softly. You can hear other people doors close on a different floor.

The whole place is absolutely spotless, the staff are amazing and the food delicious

The main lights in the bedroom didn't work, the tea, coffee and milk weren't replenished and we only had half a toilet roll.
