Best location in Guernsey, right next to a lovely small beach. Beautiful view from our room across the bay. Lovely spacious, very clean and well decorated room, with comfy bed and great new shower. Excellent breakfast choice, good coffee, incredibly efficient service and very friendly staff. Second visit to this hotel and we will definitely be coming back again as soon as we can, so would recommend.

Really wished that the breakfast had started at 7.30 am so we could have had it before leaving for our ferry home- such a shame as this would have been a really nice end to our holiday. The area at the side of the hotel with seating could be improved to make it a nicer place to have an evening drink. The hedge could be lowered to see the amazing view, tables upgraded, sun umbrellas and planters added to improve the ambience. Also, answering the phone needs attention- I tried several times to get through on two separate days, finally left a message, but nobody phoned me back - booked anyway online in the end!

Fabulous view of the bay from our bedroom, big clean comfortable bed, modern bathroom, food excellent, staff flexible and helpful. There are steps down to the sandy beach - we could have swum, instead we walked and explored the rock pools. There are great country walks nearby too.

We needed a non-slip shower mat (which I believe might have been available if we had asked). The shower was dangerous - so slippery, no grab bars. A simple thing to fix. I mentioned it to them when I was checking out so maybe they have rectified already.

The hotel is in a perfect location in front of a nice beach in Guernsey! The restaurant for breakfast & dinner have fantastic food! The personnel is very helpful! The room is big, clean and with nice view straight to the sea! The bus stops in front of the hotel and you can go everywhere with the busses in Guernsey!

We stayed in the Lihou family Suite at the Imperial Hotel, as a family of 5. It was the most stunning location with excellent views across the bay. The staff were attentive, friendly and very welcoming. The facilities weren’t super modern, some of the interior of our suite looked a little dated/tired around the edges, but absolutely were great value for money. They served delicious food at the restaurant for a reasonable price and the location was stunning and more than made up for any minor negatives.

The property was a little dated and tired looking. Could do with a freshen up of paint on the balcony/terrace of the suite, perhaps with some upgraded/updated appliances in the kitchen. But the size of the apartment, the stunning location and the customer service skills of the staff absolutely made up for any negative points.

The hotel is in a lovely location with views across the bay to Lihou island. The bedroom was well decorated with good facilities, nice carpet and bedding. Very clean. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were helpful, friendly and attentive.

The hotel's public areas like the bar are clearly designed with a summer holiday vibe in mind, which means they can feel a bit cold and soul-less in the autumn. Pillows were really hard and bath towels need replacing. The bathroom had not been updated alongside the room and had peeling paint and shabby edges. The evening meal was poor - dried out calamari and seafood linguine which cost nearly £30 and had no sauce and a few bits of dried white fish. To their credit the hotel didn't charge us for this when we complained.

Staff excellent - friendly and helpful. Food great, with breakfast (included in price) fantastic value and choice. Evening meals also excellent with good range of dishes. Lovely dining area with panoramic view of sunsets and beach. Good quiet lounges and also a lively ‘locals’ bar offering simple bargain-priced meals. Frequent buses right outside the hotel

Bathroom could do with a non-slip shower mat, along with more hooks and a shower caddy for stuff. Bedroom lacked a mirror - grave omission!!! And could also do with another lamp and better placed telly. But niggles aside it’s still my favourite place to stay.

The hotel is in a great location with access to good public transport and two lovely beaches. Rooms are a decent size and are well supplied with tea, coffee etc. The public spaces and dining areas are pleasant and well kept. We were able to check in much earlier than we expected .

Generally service was good but one day we had to go and ask someone to take our breakfast order. The bar service was unpredictable as there wasn’t always someone on duty.

The hotel has beautiful views across the bay to Fort Grey. The restaurant is lovely with views from nearly all tables and there is a large terrace where we spent an enjoyable afternoon in the sunshine enjoying a few drinks. We also ate in the restaurant 2 nights, with lovely meals on both occasions. The hotel has a lounge area, a residents bar where we found someone to chat to each evening, and the hotel is nicely decorated with lots of paintings by local artists on the walls. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, and lots of fresh local products. The bus stop directly outside with a comprehensive range of buses stopping there with routes into St Peter Port and round the coast to other parts of the island is a real bonus. We used it instead of our hire car one afternoon so we could enjoy an afternoon in town and an early evening meal in the harbour before catching the last bus back at 8.35pm (later buses on Friday and Saturday) The Pleinmont kiosk a short stroll from the hotel was another gem, with its sheltered garden, drinks, cakes and local ice creams. While before arrival I was concerned that we would regret not having paid more to stay in town, this proved to be unfounded, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return again, although next time we will book much earlier so we can have a sea view room (last minute booking to attend a funeral on the island on this occasion)

The room could have done with a few more coat hangers, 2 each for a 4 night stay is a bit stingy particularly when there is a good sized closet where far more could be hung. My pillows were a little thin, and it would be nice to see the hotel upgrade their towels which were a little thin and well used, better ones would be more in keeping with quality of other aspects of the hotel, but everything was clean and for the price in comparison to many other hotels we thought it was really excellent.

The incredible coastal views from the dining room, excellent breakfast included in the price, the convenience of the bus stop right outside, the sun terrace, size of the room, comfort of the beds and tea & coffee facilities well stocked after every use.

If anything - perhaps because of the heat and needing the window open, the noise of the pub down below the room. But it didn't go on past midnight on the Friday eve.

Gem of a hotel with great views from the restaurant and terrace and some of the bedrooms. We added an extra night after our original booking and thought we would have to change rooms but an efficient member of the reception team sorted this so we didn't have to move. Bus stop directly outside with regular buses.

Rooms are a tiny bit dated and could do with a little more TLC to bring them up to scratch to match the quality of the restaurant etc, New pillows, towels, a shelf for toiletries in the bathroom, and a mirror nearer a plug socket would make it more of a boutique hotel, but then it would probably cost more too! So we were happy with what we got for our money. It just felt like it could be improved with a little bit more investment, and a few more coat hangers!
