Hotel Euler Basel

Wow the location of this hotel is amazing, right by the train station and tram/bus stops. Lots of places to eat close by. The hotel is very attractive with friendly staff. They have complimentary orange juice and apples in the lobby which is a lovely touch. The beds were super comfortable with soft linens. Nice coffee machine in the rooms with complimentary lindt chocolate 😍 we got a really good price for our stay was ideal for our early morning flight as the bus goes right from the front to the airport. Strongly recommend this hotel

The cleanliness of our room wasn't great, there was lots of dust on the counters/coffee machine and the toilet had not been cleaned or flushed from the previous user

Hotel Euler is a HOTEL by all means: - Reception is staffed by proffesionals, big elevator, wide corridors (with some nice "old world charm"), very well equipped room, bar with live piano some evenings, classy restaurant. - Very comfortable mattress, large TV, big desk to work, very good modern bathroom, all sparkling clean. If you need to stay close to the Swiss and French railway stations and the terminal of the bus 50 that goes to the Euroairport, then Euler is an excellent choice. Furthermore, in the door step of the hotel there is a tram (street car) hub with lines to the center of the old city, to the river, to the Basel expo, to museums, etc. Any way, the Barfüsserplatz and the Steinenvorstadt pedestrian street with many food and drink choices are in walking distance, more or less. As you get for free from the hotel, the Basel Card for unlimited rides on city's tram and urban bus lines, use it! Some tram cars are old, very well maintened and really picturesque and some are brand new, high tech vehicles. In the non-rush hours, the rides are enjoyable!

Booked here after arriving in Basel. Booked Vision Appartments as my first choice. Beware the company who run theses appartments are awful. The appartment didn't match the description. It was not an appartment, it was a room with no carpet, more a concrete painted floor, no wardrobe or any place to hang clothes and a smashed mirror that was dangerous. The room was uninhabitable and the company refused a refund. Hotel Eulor is an excellent choice and professsionally run would highly recommend anyone comming to stay in Basel to choose Hotel Euler.

I was expecting a more warm room...to fix the cold outside winter we had an unpleasant experience with the shower water mixer- the cold water didn't work so it was extremely hot water, were reported it to the housekeeper supervisor but it was fixed only the day before our departure (we had a 5-night stay ) after 2 days we went out of soap in the sower device and ask the cleaning lady to fill it unfortunately didn't happen... so we bought one. such a pity to spoil a good 4 stars hotel-and not a cheap one!

The location was great. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I was surprised there was no assistance to help with luggage up the entrance stairs, or a ramp. My father is elderly, and although we are capable people, it was a bit surprising at such an elegant hotel, conscientious in that respect was lacking. Especially when we each had two large suitcases.

The lighting was tricky in the rooms. Some of the outlets did not receive the grounded electrical adapters.

Excellent location. Very close to station and airport bus. Easy walking distance to city centre. The soundproofing worked, we couldn't hear the trams at all. The fruit and, water and cold orange juice in reception were welcome. Very comfy bed. I liked the shower.

The decor was a bit tired. Most people are very happy to have a coffee machine in the room. However, if you want a cup of tea you need a kettle, not coffee flavoured hot, not boiling, water.

Sufficiently spacious and perfectly clean rooms, well equipped for a comfortable stay. The air condition worked well. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, next to the main train station and right in front of the hotel are tram stops (to old town by tram it takes approx. 10 minutes). Highly recommend this hotel!

We have no complaints, everything was great.

The room and bathroom are a good size. The bed is comfortable. The internet is very fast and reliable. The hotel is located a short distance from the train station, and it's easy to walk (or take a tram) to most of Basel.

Fitness center is a bit disappointing. The room can be a bit noisy during the day since it is right next to a main road and tram station.

We booked at the last minute as our travel plans changed and were there for an overnight stay. We booked a twin room so were delighted it was upgraded to a junior suite on arrival. It was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was quite luxurious. Location was perfect for the station.

Not much to dislike, except breakfast was expensive, so we gave it a miss.

We arrived early in the morning with the night train, our room was ready the moment we stepped inside the hotel, so we didn't have to wait. We really appreciated that and it made a difference to our stay. Location is perfect as it is 100m from the train station. There are trams circulating right outside of the window, however, the noise was tolerable and expected.
