The rooms suprised me really – quite spacious, with nice and comfy furniture, and the bathroom was newly renovated and very convinient. The hotel design is very nice – neutral and pleasant. The cleanness standards are very high and the cleaning staff should be surely appreciated. I had an apartment at the top floor (where the elevator does not reach, as it comes only up to the third floor), but it was not a problem for me personally. Despite the extreme temperature in Basel at the time of my stay (ca. 35 degrees Celsius), the room was relatively cool and a small fan to support some air circulation was quite enough to have a pleasent sleep. Nice for a business trip because of its central location, probably less satisfying for a family holidays. Very good prices though.

The hotel provides only self check-in via the computer station at the entrance. It worked well, but to be honest, I was not aware of that until I had received a message one day before my arrival (I have a feeling it is not stated clearly in the venue description). The location is very good in terms of communication, but as it usually is with the railway station surroundings, the are not very pleasant to look at or chill.

The room was pretty basic but had everything I needed. Self check in was quick, especially since I had a reservation booked ahead of time. The hotel is very centrally located; minutes from the train station, a quick walk to many shops and restaurants as well as old town. They also had a coffee machine in the lobby for guests.

Would have liked some AC but at least there was a fan in the room and the shower was a bit small but otherwise, I didn't spend alot of time there so it was fine.

very convenient location right next to train station, clean and comfortable room, came with some little sablé cookies laid on the bed which was a nice touch after a long day of travel. also comes with Basel card allowing free public transport during your stay

Self-checkin via a machine is very convenient, especially for when you arrive late at night like I did—but guests should be aware that there is no normal reception desk! I think there was a number to call if you needed help, but one inconvenience of this is that there was no apparent way to store luggage for a few hours after checking out. There are automated lockers in the train station across the street (I think it’s 6 CHF for a small box capable of fitting a normal sized duffel bag, it’s more for a proper luggage), but guests should keep in mind that this is an extra hassle/expense if they’re used to being able to leave bags at a hotel while they explore the city!

Location - Perfect! One to two minutes to the train station and bus stops. Self-check-in was easy. I like the idea of preparing your brew whenever you need it. The Brew kit was in a perfect location where everybody can help themselves whenever they need to. Room - Spotless! And so does the bathroom. The mattress was comfortable, I slept peacefully throughout the two nights I spent in there.

Some people forget or too oblivious that there are people in other rooms, especially when they are walking in the corridors. Perhaps having signs on the walls will remind them that they are not the only one in the building.

i was assigned an attic room on two floors, stylish and very spacious. given the position of the hotel I didn’t expect an actual view, but it wasn’t bad either… two bathrooms (I travelled alone, but that’s undoubtedly a bonus) with (hurrah! a bidet! - never give it for granted!), lots of electrical outlets. and just 100 meters away from the station and a tram hub - despite that the only noise I could hear was a very low rumble caused by the passage of trains. automated check in and check out was extremely easy.

the upper floor was quite hot, and there was no air conditioning. there was a cozy bathtub but no actual shower, so some athleticism was required to wash without flooding the bathroom… I’m not entirely sure, so take it with a pinch of salt - but I vaguely remember the presence of a “Frühstück“ (breakfast) item in the payment detail. there wasn’t any, though. BUT there’s a coffee machine in the tiny hall, entirely free to use.

The self check in process was new to me, but the detailed instructions in the hotel email made everything smooth. My first time staying at a hotel without any human interaction. Appreciated the free coffee!

Would be good to include a small map in the email as the lane to the hotel is easy to miss and i got a bit lost getting there the first time as Google Maps took me around a little further ahead.

The room was exactly as described and accurately represented in the images on the Booking webpage of the hotel. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and the overall look-and-feel was great for the price. The automatic check-in went fast and without any issues.

There was noise coming from the neighbouring rooms and from the trains that were passing by. The second was rather expected, having the location.

big TV screen used up a lot of space on the table, difficult to work with my computer on this table. And I don't watch Tv... There was quite a lot of noise from other guests very early in the morning in the staircase....

Really close to the station and airport bus stop, which was my priority. It was good for what it was - a late arrival and early start, and I was easily able to grab food nearby. Clean and auto check in was easy.

Check in was fine but I was a bit worried what I’d do if something had not gone well as there are no staff on the premises.

I was given s room on the top floor, which is only accessible via stairs. I had heavy luggage and was not amused. This must be indicated/ separated in the room details, as I think it is extremely important for travelers to know nowadays if a room is only accessible via stairs!
