The location is in an industrial area but only a 15-20 drive to Redondo Beach. Hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and very nice. Private gated parking is great. Amenities are provided. Because of the pandemic their restaurants are closed but they offer a menu with breakfast and lunch from a nearby restaurant. And then again because of the pandemic they avoid getting in the rooms therefore housekeeping is a request by only. The hotel is a very nice small boutique hotel. Stylish. Recommendation: I suggest housekeeping should put water in the rooms when guests first arrive. I'd definitely stay there again.

This appears to be a new or recently remodeled boutique motel as all finishes and amenities were still in exceptional condition. Lovely courtyard area with fire pits. Staff at the checkin desk were also excellent - very friendly.

As we were driving to the motel and got within a few blocks, it didn’t appear to be in a great part of town which is likely why the parking lot has a high security fence requiring key card entry and a number of security cameras outside overlooking the parking lot, but we didn’t feel unsafe there. We only stayed two nights and the second night there were a number of guests outside late into the night that were being pretty loud. That was more a matter of inconsiderate guests than the motel staff. Also when we were leaving the next morning there were two to three other guests standing in the empty parking space next to our car smoking weed, not something you’d expect at a place like this, so just more surprising than anything.

Walked into my room and was greeted by a towel swan and rose petals! My boyfriend and I loved that so much! The property was amazing and staff was wonderful as well! The gated parking lot made me feel very safe. The room was comfortable, clean, and cute. The bathroom felt fancy and spacious; the farmhouse door separating the bathroom and room was a plus. This definitely felt like a boutique hotel and the outdoor area was nice.

I wish there was free breakfast, but that’s okay! I also would’ve loved if the tv in the room was a smart tv so we could stream movies, shows, and music or at least access to the HDMI connection on the tv.

This is my first time staying at the Bluestem Hotel in Torrance, CA. Today is Thursday, March 9, I checked in today and I am so impressed with this property and the location that I wanted to write a review now. Let's begin with the front desk point of contact, Frank. Frank is great, truly. He is a good man, and works for The Client, meaning everyone who checks-in. He was very helpful and courteous during check-in. The property is very organized and clean. The room is also organized and VERY CLEAN. I like everything about this room from the flooring to the wallpaper and conveniences that are included in the room to make you feel comfortable. The bathroom is also extremely clean and organized, the shower is large and clean if not spotless. The room is not huge, but just the right size for two or more people. There is ample parking, the parking lot is well lit and walking around inside the perimeter feels very safe. The parking lot is behind a beautiful wooden modern gate that can only be accessed after checking into the hotel. Also if you feel like you might want a snack, at the front desk there are items you can purchase to take back to your room or simply drink or eat on the open patio that guests use. We like this hotel so much that we decided to stay an extra night, and we will be back again. The Bluestem Hotel provides you with a modern boutique hotel experience that is comfortable and inviting.

I wish there was a Level 2 charger for my plug-in hybrid vehicle. Other than that I am completely satisfied.

they have the best staff! super friendly and welcoming. Also, I love my car lol and the parking was what drew me to the property. It was gated and SO safe, no worries of my car being broken into while parked there. Loved the fire pit and lobby area, very kitch and cute! :) room was very clean and the blackout curtains were awesome, was able to sleep in. bathroom was spacious for a smaller room. beds were very comfortable, tons of room to telework and do makeup/hair...

just wish they had oat milk for the coffee in the lobby and also we like to stream or cast our shows and we didnt see that option on the tv so had to watch commercials lol... but nothing that would stop us fr coming back or recommending this hotel. :)

It was great value - gated parking lot was appreciated. Basically this is a converted motel, so, it is simple. But they did a good job, nice beds, good shower and bathroom - certainly great for the price. Good lighting in room. It was simple - as expected - and just what we wanted. Good in-room fridge/ coffee. Staff was attentive and polite, really great. Facility was all around a great value. We did not eat here.

A few small things: * Air Conditioners are loud and not quite sensitive to mange on 'low'...meaning, at night they continually go on and off if you set the temperature too close to a stasis. So, to minimize 'cycling', you have to set it too cold (so it stays on) or too hot (so it stays off)... * Exterior couches in public area: the couches and pillows need to be 'refreshed' daily(meaning, dusted, dried and once in a while sprayed with anti-mold). You could see they were a bit neglected - dusty, and because of the cold night air, some pillows had mold spots.

The Bluestem hotel is like a home away from home! It is a magical, boutique hotel. The staff under the management of Richmond, is top notch! The hotel is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It is centrally located to several restaurants, and attractions. I have traveled all over the world, and this hidden gem of a hotel is five star in my opinion. I can't wait to visit again soon.

Nothing not to love about this hotel, and the amazing staff.

We really liked that we were secluded behind a gate. The sitting area with the fire was really cozy even though it was a bit chilly. It was a great place for my family and I to hang out and talk. Oh and the Keurig in the room! I’ve never had that before in a hotel.

I wish there was a microwave in the room cause we like to bring our own food on trips to save money. My husbands ps4 wouldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi and we did not want to call their help line. And I know this is my fault for not looking but we were hoping for a heated pool.
