Location was amazing, right on the ocean. Bed comfortable, gorgeous view of the lagoon, full kitchen. Very nice cleaning staff. Safe parking (cameras), but area seems safe in general. Shopping center right across the road. Complimentary breakfast - toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit. And a pool, sometimes shared by local ducks.

The place is really run down. I was there about 7 years ago, but it's a lot worse now. Looks like they aren't repairing or replacing when things fail. Front desk staff (apart from one woman, possibly the owner) didn't have customer service skills. Small price to pay for the location, convenience, and price!

They upgraded me to a king size suite on the inner waterfront for no extra charge. The location is convenient to the meeting place and just across from a shopping center with a grocery store. It's a short walk to the beach. Walking to the restuarants on park street was easy.

The complimentary breakfast is pretty minimal and lacking in protein. Coffee, toast, convenience store packaged pastries, sugared yogurt, and granola. Milk was the only protein. Apples are the only fresh fruit. The place is in bad need of a makeover and updating, but then they would likely charge a lot more. If you have modest expectations, you will find it a good value for the area.

Great location in Alameda with a beach (Creek) overlooking San Francisco. About 45 minutes drive from the San Francisco Airport. Friendly and awesome staff ready to help with whatever you need. Breakfast was basic but it was OK for me consideribg this was a budget apartmenthotel with a kitchenette with a stove. Overlooking the Safeway Foodstore (fully-fledged Supermarket) and other amenities that you would require e.g. ATMs. I can’t complain about it in any way. The staff made my stay and business in San Francisco worth every penny spent. i will definitely and undoubtedly be back! God Bless You

The Coral Reef feels like an old-fashioned suite hotel/motel - wonderfully generous spaces in the suites at a very good price - full kitchen, living room area, table and chairs, separate bedroom. A number of suites overlook a waterway - The staff is friendly, breakfast provided. The location is excellent - across the street from a major shopping and dining area, about a block from the beach from which you can see the San Francisco skyline, at one end of the major shopping street, Park St. We have family in Alameda, have tried other hotels/motels, by far prefer a suite at the Coral Reef even though some of the features are a bit dated.

rooms were nice, location was nice, i immediately felt at home the moment i walked into the room, it has a kitchenette with lots of closet space.

i didn’t like the fact that the pool water was FREEZING COLD! i couldn’t stand the water temperature and wasn’t able to enjoy the pool, the ironing board padding and cover was on the floor and not on the ironing board. i also don’t like how you have to walk past the front desk to get into your room. because it feels like your being watched

The staff was courteous, friendly and professional. They provided a flyer at check-in with the wifi password, breakfast and pool times without having to ask. The breakfast was definitely continental style with cereal, toast, yogurt, and prepackaged danishes.

The only coffee provided was Turkish style and very strong. There is a Safeway grocery store across the street to get what you want as the coffee is an acquired taste.

all clean, nice room and with a very good space, and the fact that have a little kitchen make it great, nice views to the bay and the pool, very good location.

the only thing that can be better is that there’s one plate and silver plate for just one person, so if you are more than one person and want to use the kitchen you need to bring more silverware and plates.

Make no mistake, this is an old Alameda motel, and is not a 4-star property. That said, it is clean, the shower works, there is plenty of hot water, the toilet flushes and the room was fairly large. The price reflects the place, and it is across the street from the large South Shore Shopping Center. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. We have stayed in a lot worse places for a lot more money. Thumbs Up.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was great. The beach 5 min walk (if that) from motel. The price was great though a little dated on the decor it was a decent size. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will coming back soon!

The only bad thing is the stove needs to be replaced in the room I was in.

Location! Its close to so many places that are easy to walk to. I was able to sit out on balcony and see the beach/ocean. Its dated and could use some refurbishments but its clean, comfy and the staff were very nice. Ive stayed a few times for different events and plan to stay again.

The pool is still closed due to covid :( BUT the beach is right there.
