Good location, just right to the metro station.Great breakfast with many choices of foods.Thanks to the staff. They were very helpful.We asked for the room at the cathedral side when make a booking (it has no option for street or cathedral side via Booking.com) and asked for transport cards on the day we checked out.We got all what we asked for.

The carpet in the room smell a bit musty.

A very good choice of a hotel-great price/quality ratio: super central location, big spacious rooms and bathrooms, w/both windows that open and the AC. Very friendly staff. I loved my attic room and would stay again. You get the free travel card for the Lausanne area which helps you visit Lavaux and other places totally for free. All the shops and boutiques are round the corner, Flon area is 5 mins walk or one metro stop, the train station is 3 stops away and the marina is 5 short metro stops away.

The name has “wine” in it but they dont actually serve it at the bar (you can buy it to your room)- really, doesnt make much sense for the hotel with Wine name in it😀The lobby and the entry door looks a bit run down, which just doesnt give the best first impression, would be great to update it a bit, incl the name on the entry door. Pity as the staircases etc are renovated and at contrast.

Exceptional friendly staff. Arrived around 1pm and room was not ready. Check-in is 3pm, but was told to come back at 2. Our bags were conveniently stored in their luggage room. We received our tourist cards and directions to a suggested restaurant 3 stops away on the metro. The metro station is adjacent to the hotel. Lausanne is extremely hilly and the metro was a welcomed mode of travel. Room rate included a full buffet breakfast, which was outstanding. Room had a balcony with city view. Room was large, clean and quiet. Hotel location, with its metro access was perfect.

Great hotel in a very central location. Honestly, I don't think it could be more central which is fantastic. I really appreciated the breakfast and the fact that you get a subway card is nice. For the price I am not sure what else you could ask for.

As others have mentioned the doors are paper thin so you hear everything going on in the hallway. Be prepared for this, it's super loud. I would say the wifi could be better as well as it's super slow. Barely any channels with English as a primary language (but this is being very picky)

The hotel is in a great location, near the cathedral and at the top of the shopping streets. It is easily accessible by the metro. The room was a good size and clean. The room had a bath which was a bonus. In the area around the hotel there are many bars and restaurants ranging from expensive to fast food. There is also a lovely cocktail bar at the bottom of the lift. I have stayed here before with friends and it was lovely then too.

Not much. Sometimes the corridor was a bit noisy but that is it. I would definitely stay again if I wanted to be in that area of town.

The rooms were very comfortable and contained everything you would need. The bathroom was finished to a good standard but was a bit on the small side. The breakfast was a standard continental spread but the coffee was very good quality compared to most hotel coffee. The breakfast was also served in a room with great views over the city and cathedral. The hotel does have a nice sauna and fitness room, which is a bonus. Although the equipment is limited and the space is quite small, there is enough to do a workout. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was pretty nice as well, walking distance to shops, bars etc and directly opposite a metro station. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it!

The bathrooms are a bit small.

Room was a good size and housekeeping very good

1. Should be able to provide better service for English speakers on TV via satellite and get a stronger signal. You are a hotel so am sure you will get English speaking customers. 2. If extra pillows or towels are requested they should be provided and not tell the customer it is excessive to ask for more and say you are a hotel. That is customer service. You don't know if a customer has a sleeping condition that they have to sit up to sleep rather than lying down flat. They should be catered for and not questioned.

Comfortable, modern and clean room, with all the facilities you need for a restful stay. Despite the location being very central, the room was very quiet and peaceful. Staff were really welcoming at all times, and provided us with a complimentary Lausanne Visitor Transport Pass which was a lovely bonus!

Getting to the hotel can be quite an uphill challenge (literally!). But this is due to the layout of the city more than anything so just be aware you may need to drag your luggage up a lot of steep cobbled streets to get there. You may find taking the metro to a stop just outside of the hotel (Bessières) will easily help you bypass this issue.

Very convenient location (3 minutes from the cathedral, right by the Metro 2 tram station, only 3 stops from Lausanne-Gare), quiet at night (tram M2 is under ground). Besides the accommodations listed in the booking, the room also equipped with all kind of electric charging outlets, and you will be able to charge your cell phones even you forget to bring along the adapter for your cell phone charger. Great overall experience.

I loved the breakfast room. The views were spectacular! The breakfast buffet was very good with eggs, breads and meats. The best thing is that they gave me a FREE transportation pass (buses & metro) for the entire stay and there was a Metro entrance (excellent, clean metros in Lausanne!) right in front of the hotel with elevators that would take you to the lower street level, as well as the train level. There were restaurants and bars nearby. I would definitely stay there again. Also, the air conditioner (only in the top floor) worked very well. The staff were very nice and helped me with everything. Also, except for one flight to the top floor to reach the solo traveler room, there was an elevator. Recommendation: Take the metro to the lake front (It drops you off right there!) and then take a round trip boat ride around the lake to Montreux. You can take a long hike right next to the lake. The paved trail is beautiful with art pieces, beautiful outdoor restaurants and the trail is just like a park with benches sprinkled here and there and places where you can actually step into the lake. Awesome!

I would have preferred a double bed even though I was a "solo". The bed was okay. The room was large but fairly bare. I peeked into one of the more expensive rooms for two and they looked much nicer. (Will reserve one of those next time.) I was informed that the lower rooms do not have air conditioning, but the nights are very cool in Lausanne and apparently, the lower floors don't get as hot as the top floor does during the summer.
