Hôtel Crystal

Good value. The hotel was easy to find, close to the metro and bus lines we needed and right in the center of town. Rooms were clean and warm and the bed large and comfortable. Shower was always warm and easy to regulate. There was a mini fridge in the room. The rest of the room was functional but not luxe. The decor was as described in the listing.

If I had anything bad to say it would be that some nights there were some loud people on the street when we went to sleep but they soon dispersed and we slept fine.

Best English tv options so far. And curtains. Next to entrance to Coop. New. Pretty quiet.

Only real issues were that this part of town is full of addicts and illegals. You have to take funicular to the second station and make a right and back towards lake one block. Shower was tiny and the curtain attacks you. Nozzle leaked. They gave me bottom floor near elevator. No usb outlets. Had to ask for city pass. Squeeze bottle soap. Fridge wasn't really set to very cold.

Great location with a wonderful view at the hotel's restaurant almost at the roof top and a breakfast with a quite big choice. You can have drinks such as different kinds of tea and coffee 24h/24 in the restaurant area. Ask for a room on the 5th floor - you'll have a wonderful view! There's a fridge in the room. Very nice and helpful personnel.

Unfortunately opening hours of the reception are only between 9am and 7pm. The hair dryer in the room is an old one, but you can have a more powerful at the reception. A little bit expensive for a 3 stars hotel. No kettle in the room, however, you can have boiling water for tea at the restaurant self-service 24h/24.

the hotel staff was very nice and kind. I lost my passport at a shop and it was kindly taken to a lost and found at a police station on Sunday when everything is closed in Switzerland and that made everything difficult for a foreigner figuring out to contact with authorities. This wasn’t their main job but the hotel staff who help me out with this made my first Swiss trip a good memory not a disaster. the hotel was very comfortable and felt safe staying here.

the view was amazing! we had a balcony which meant we could watch the views of the city at night, there was endless supply of tea and coffee on the floor, a mini fridge in the room, stylish artwork in the room and around the hotel, metro station just round the corner aswell as lots of shops/ restaurants nearby

the pillows were very small and lacked comfort, the rooms are not soundproof which was slightly annoying. there was confusion about the parking, I had emailed to confirm a spot but then was told on arrival to park at the multi-storey (only 2 mins walk away) then there was much confusion about the payment of the parking as we were told two different things but we figured it out in the end so nothing major

Our only wish was that we had taken the breakfast on the roof rather than down the street!

Really liked the large monkey painting on our wall. Only thing that could have been better was the view out the window was of another building rather than the city. But owner can't help what is across the street. The view from the breakfast room on the top floor was spectacular!! We wish we would have had breakfast there. We will next time when we return to Lausanne and spend another night at this place.

Great location, good value. Perfect family place to stay. Small bar and asian food just at bottom of the stairs of the hotel. You are straight in the city center. Amazing view from the 5th floor during the breakfast, breathtaking (view on the city + a bit of the lake)

The great location comes together with a noisy place. We did not sleep that good (late street noise from party makers then early street noises) and we had to keep windows open because the place was pretty warm. Car park is +20CHF per day, 100m away

The staff was very welcoming. They went out of their way to help me find a nice place to eat. If I had to go back to Lausanne, I would definitely go to their hotel. What I loved was the interior design in the rooms. It was basic, but it got the job done, which I really appreciated. The terrasse was clean and had a really good view. And the breakfast was delicious.

Location, terrace, comfortable room

There is no kettle in the room, and while in the evening you can make yourself tea or coffee in the communal area and enjoy it on the terrace, in the morning this area is only available if you are having breakfast. So if you are staying on room only basis, you can't get any hot water until noon.

1) The reception staff was very friendly and helped out with information, travel passes and every which way she could 2) The location was close to the metro station which was a plus 3) They provided us with a fan to counter the sweltering heat

The neighbourhood was noisy late into the night
