Okko Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette

I am not a particularly frequent reviewer however I thought it was necessary to make an exception for my stay at the Okko Hotel in Lyon. The room was good with a very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. The club room with its endless supply of drinks and snacks was an absolutely wonderful place to relax and unwind in peace and comfort. However where this hotel reach a level of excellence was the customer service shown by every single member of staff I encountered at the hotel. From Julie on reception who checked us in, to the kitchen staff and the cleaners, I have rarely seen this level of attention even at the very best hotels. If you visit Lyon. Stay here. You will not regret it!

The hotel is perfect. The staff people are nice, friendly and helpful. Do not waste time thinking whether taking breakfast or not: just say yes :-). The breakfast is worth of money. The location is very convenient: the city transportation is around, and the old city is 15 min of walking. The room is absolutely clean; everything is working. The tradition (if so?) to have free access, anytime, to juices, coffee and snacks seems to be not usual, and it was very suitable for that hot weather in this period. Thanks to the hotel staff for hosting. And....air conditioning and wi-fi are all working perfectly.

We arrived early and planned to leave our luggage but the room was already ready so the staff gave us access to the room early - this was much appreciated! Room was comfy and location decent. - Check in process: just the normal process - show your passport and credit card you booked with - Toiletries: body wash and shampoo in one provided - Access: swipe card for your room door and for the lift and the lounge area

The shower and toilet walls are made with glass that was blocked out with frosting (except the top and bottom) so if you’re not comfortable to see you roomie’s feet while they use the toilet or shower then this might be an issue for you. We were fine with it. It wasn’t possible to shower without getting the rest of the bathroom area very wet and water seeped out to the toilet area.

The room was really spacious. The staff were very friendly, helping us with the landmarks and best places to visit around the city. They had pastries and coffee available every day even if you didn't purchase the breakfast package, which I think is super cool. The "Club" section is great to relax, have some snacks and enjoy the AC. Overall a wonderful experience.

Location was good, although you had to walk for a bit to get to the Old Town or the downtown part of the city. Nothing else negative I can say as everything was great.

I like the room a lot. It was nice, quite, clean, big enough and with all necessary equipment in the right places. Locations was good too. Breakfast was excellent, like always in France. Staff is polite, friendly and speak English. Everything was awesome, even slightly better than I could expect.

The view from the window was of no interest (probably just my room). But I don't lower the rating for such an unimportant detail.

This hotel has a great location and comfortable, spacious rooms. They also offer free snacks, fresh juices, fruit, teas and coffee in Le Club area, a lovely place to chill out. There’s an ironing room on the first floor. The bed and pillows were excellent and having a coffee machine in the room was convenient.

The toilet/shower room is not very private. OK if you’re a couple but may be a bit embarrassing otherwise.

Good location in a beautiful neighborhood, close to the river and several nice bars on boats. The hotel is quiet and very well soundproof. Big point! Friendly staff. Very good breakfast offering quality products. Snacking and soft drinks available 24/7 and free aperitivo served after 6:30pm.

The bathroom is cramped, there are variation of water temperature in the shower and the water leaked from the shower. A fridge in the room is expected in a 4 stars hotel. Elevator is slow. Beds are too low for optimum comfort.

their bathroom concept in the rooms are totally not something I liked and for this I will not go again. you walk through the shower which joints need better cleanup. Once wet you still need to go through it for the toilet and vanity and the full bathroom is semi private as you can see through the wall so no real intimacy. Don’t know who has this idea but this is a bad idea in my point of view. otherwise the room would have been great.

The location was great - within walking distance from the city center and yet still relatively quiet. The windows really canceled out the noise from outside. The bed was big and comfortable. My room was on the fifth floor so I had a small balcony and a partial view of the river. I really appreciated the hotel's climate friendly efforts: they asked guests to reuse the towels to reduce the amount of water used to wash them and had built-in toiletries to limit the use of plastic. There were free non-alcoholic drinks and some snacks available in the afternoons and evenings. Breakfast was varied and filling. The staff were friendly and helpful and even made me croque monsier despite it not being on the hotel restaurant's menu. They also offered to store my luggage or call me a taxi when I was checking out. All in all a very nice experience.

The bathroom was small. I also couldn't figure out how to work the lights, as it seems they were connected so one would go out if you switch one another. The cleaning staff tucked the blanket in so tightly, it was a struggle to free enough of it to be able to sleep comfortably.

The club is amazing (the majority reason of promoter). Breakfast has good assortments (salmon is good). Location is near to a lot of good places. Air was good (able to open windows). Dog friendly. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Fresh water dispenser with sparkling water option.

Only one elevator. The size of room is bearable.the coffee machine in the room is frustrating. Overall, coffee taste is not amazing, just soso.
