Location is excellent. We come quite often to Lyon, this hotel is really well located regarding food, culture, shopping. Staff were generally friendly (notably the lady on Sunday morning who kept our bags and remembered our names), manager was very good. Nice view from the rooftop cafe/restaurant.

Some rooms have views onto the front street (nice but can also be a tad noisy at night, not with traffic but with drunken shouting from the main street a bit further down) others look onto a rather old building in the back. Not clear when booking.

Great location, easy access to Vieux Lyon and main sights. Hotel seems new or recently renovated. Refined boutique hotel feel. Rooms are spacious and bright (if you stay away from the corner rooms that are awful), equipped with amazing coffee machine (grinds fresh beans!) very comfortable bed, and great bathroom. The rooftop is very nice.

Our first room, n. 40, was awful. Smelled like it hadn't seen fresh air for a long time. There is a tiny window in the far back of the room which is too small to bring natural light. The bed is flush against 3 walls which makes the room feel very claustrophobic. We were switched to 48 which was perfect, bright and spacious. Those rooms (20, 30 , 40 etc) should not be at the same rate. More importantly, since we booked last minute and there was a lot of availability (as per Booking) why on earth would the staff put us in the worse room when others are available and would be unoccupied??

The location was very good as it's in the Presqu'ile area and is very close to the tourist sites and restaurants. The staff were also friendly and helpful, in particular the guy who helped us checked out and helped to accommodate a request to mail a postcard.

The mattress of the bed was too hard; the configuration of the room was strange - we had the bathroom directly at the foot of the bed. I requested a special surprise for my husband's birthday at the rooftop bar but it was not accommodated.

A hotel with a great location. Old town near the main street with shops. There is a great view from the breakfast terrace. The rooms are well cleaned. Everyone is kind. You can sleep well and take a good shower.

Breakfast is very expensive, monotonous. After 3 days breakfast start to get bored. The fruit is not fresh. The room could be renovated because the hotel is expensive. It was difficult to make an invoice, the hotel also charge an additional 100 euro deposit, it is not clear for what. You will have to dealing with it.

Our room was spacious, clean and vey comfortable. The bathroom was fabulous and we had plenty of room for a 4 day stay. The staff were very helpful and assisted us in finding some places we were unsure of. The location is fantastic, walking distance to many tourist attractions in old Lyon.

It would have been great to have had a fridge in our room with milk available for coffees and teas. A movie channel (netflix or similar) in English would have been fabulous for those early nights or a rest in the afternoon, only the BBC news was available to English speakers.

Loved the location, was able to walk everywhere, metro very close, and lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby. Room was small with an odd configuration but very comfortable and totally fine for a couple of days especially for the price. They were really great about bringing ice to the room when we needed it. Friendly check in and check out.

I read a previous review that mentioned a funny smell. I also noticed that in the hallways but didn't have any issue in the room itself. Might just be because it's an old building.

Check-in was smooth and the cute receptionist was very helpful to my partner and I. Queer-friendly staff is always a plus in our books. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The large bath was relaxing after a few days of hiking in the Alps. Breakfast was simple but hit the spot.

Some of the LED lighting surrounding the bed was not working and a few pieces of art photographed in the room were not present in person, but that's very minor. The wall next to the hangers have loads of scuff marks so it makes the room look slightly unkept, but overall a great space.

Very nice quite hotel. Good location, especially if you want to explore the city and go shopping. I liked the breakfast on the rooftop. The hotel even has a sauna but I didn't have time to check it out.

We booked 2 identical rooms in one booking, and one of them didn't really have a window (only a small one quite high up). The second one was great, so be careful.

The position is very central - the old town is within walking distance and the metro station is 5 minutes away. Breakfast on the rooftop is more or less basic, but the view of the Fourvière hill in the morning is very nice. The hotel's lobby, elevators, rooms, and bathrooms are very clean. The staff was very, very friendly and they spoke very good English!

We didn't get the room as shown in the photos - there was less light since the room was facing the inside of the building. The window couldn't be opened, but the ventilation was good. The standard room is quite small, but if you'll not spend too much time in it, it's more than enough.
