Helpful reception staff, shared pool, decent mattreses, decent breakfasts.

Airconditioning struggled a little in high heat and the fittings (doors etc) where lightweight so there was a bit of noise carry over from both inside and outside.

Senator Castellana is very conveniently located between two Metro stops, Cuzco and Tetuan. We chose this place for its location (proximity to Chamartin) and it was a good choice. The hotel was clean and comfortable, no frills, but it suited our needs perfectly. It's also in a non-touristy neighborhood so prices for food and drink nearby are very reasonable. Breakfast was very good (in the hotel).

Well, personnel is very polite and friendly. Check in was smooth. We were little bit confused with the "free minibar" we were told upon arrival, but the minibar was just empty fridge and coffee and tea pot, nevertheless... it was ok, we don't mind :-)

Well, the room itself looked like a one from 90's, still teh beds were comfy and that was what we were looking for. So there is no toom for complaints. Still the hotel looked like far behind its zenith. Still - well seved the purpose... Thank you

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. Jose and his colleague advised us about the room, the pool and breakfast options. They were friendly and professional. We’ve stayed in many hotels in the last few years, and this was the hotel in which we felt a genuine welcome. Larger and plusher hotels could take note. For a 3 star hotel, the facilities were more than adequate, and the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The use of a pool was a welcome addition. Not the most obvious part of Madrid for night life, but the gentlemen advised us to try a good local bar and restaurant, Lá Cantina, which was a great suggestion. Bar prices cheaper than the restaurant, and the food was good. The hotel location was good for our purposes of pick up and drop off nearby, and Cuzco metro is fairly near, handy for our airport trip the following morning. Tetuàn near enough too, and it’s not far from Bernabeu, stadium and metro, if that’s your thing. you want a clean, safe and comfortable, yet reasonably priced hotel in Madrid, I would recommend this one.

Very nice hotel. Personnel helpful and friendly. Swimming pool is good, although we don`t have sunlight on the total area because of the buildings located close to the hotel, be aware of that. Breakfast is a little bit expensive for what they offer.

One thing that bothered me was the small fridge in the room. In fact, it is a very tiny fridge. Additionally, it didn't work at all.

Great location. 5min by walk from Cuzco metro station, 5min by taxi from Chamartín train station. Comfy bed and pillow, great size of the room. Perfect for working remotely; big desk, great light and powerful wifi connection.

My room smelt like tobacco. They gave me another room and the smell was not that hard but still a bit. For rest everything was ok.

A clean and quiet room with large windows that open to a courtyard. Friendly, helpful staff. An easy walk to the Metro, Restaurants, Services, and a 24/7 Grocery.

The price that I actually paid was completely different from the price I reserved on Booking.com. The hotel worker said the higher difference was due to the exchange rate. I found I was deceived by Booking.com.

We had a connected room with our sons which was great. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was very good and above all the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is also at a close walking distance to Santiago Bernabeu stadium and metro station.

A known hotel used on previous occasions in an area I like. Serves my needs as a bed and breakfast style hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

The convoluted booking and payment process if not paying at the hotel. Either Booking.com take the booking and payment details, or the hotel group. Not both as of now.
