NYX Hotel Madrid by Leonardo Hotels

Modern hotel, nice chic interior, on a street with a lot of nice cafes, bars and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had been to Madrid a few times before so it was nice to be out of the busy tourist centre and explore some more local areas. Our room was nice enough. We read in the reviews that the rooms were on the smaller side so we booked a bigger room which was a normal city hotel size.

We were hoping to get a double bed but had 2 beds next to each other instead. The mattress was a bit too hard for my liking.

I love the property. It’s unique, and the rooms are cute, small but nice. The downstairs vibes at night are relaxing, and upstairs by the bar has fantastic great staff by the pool bar. Especially Micki, I think that was her name. Lovely we'll mannered excellent customer service. good vibes

The staff that stand at the door by the pool. The big guy and the young lady with long blond hair were on shift at the pool door on 23/7/2023. They are not friendly, very rude, bad customer service. They have bad vibes and energy. They forget that people have paid to be on vacation, hard-earned money, and we do not need monitoring by them as if they were the police. It got so bad I had to leave the pool on Sunday and make a complaint. The hotel manager dealt with the issue swiftly, which was good, and I could rest and enjoy in peace.

The room was clean and comfortable, a coffee machine and a mini fridge are available which is a good point! And the AC honestly saved our lives when it was 40C outside! The location is good too if you don’t mind being a little bit outside of the core. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

The room we had was really tiny, and the pool on the rooftop was small and crowded. Also we didn’t reserve breakfast, but we were able to get a toast and coffee for 5€ which was ok but if we were to pay full price (18€) it really wouldn’t be worth it. There is a lot of good breakfast places around the hotel which I recommend trying :)

I stayed only one night before my trip back to Dublin, but I liked the decoration, all related with animals. The staff are very nice, they received us with a welcome drink, and the check in process easy and fast. The bar is just in front of the entrance so you feel the a good party atmosphere as soon as you enter, maybe for young people is better, but the music don't get to the rooms, so just something to consider if you don't like music out loud. The staff at the bar is helpful, we are vegans so they take the time to check on our food and drinks. That is a plus provided that many places just said: no vegan food. The room was clean, and it was exactly as we expected. Free coffee in the room, and despite to be facing the street, we didn't hear much noise at night. The hotel has many sculpture and art from contemporary artist, some difficult to understand but give the hotel a different touch which is enjoyable. The area is more for commercial businesses, so you need to take the train to go to town: Cuatro Caminos and Nuevo Ministros are the closest stations, less than 6meter walking. Supermarkets, shoe and clothes stores around.

Maybe to have more vegan options for dinner. But all was good.

Loved the location. We came to watch a football match and it is perfect for anyone that wants to watch a game.

The food is amazing super nice. The reception staff super nice and helpful. The guy at the bar was a bit rude with one of my children, really? There were some biscuits for guests that arrive early so my child after eating at that bar grabs a biscuit... ONE not a handful just one. The guy from the bar runs towards him, takes off him and say NO NO NO and puts or back I found that so rude and strange

The hotel has beautiful artwork outside and inside. The rooms are a bit small, but it’s ok because they are nice and clean and got what is needed. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It is walking distance to Bernabeu stadium.

The breakfast was a bit of a mess. Sometimes there were no cups, bowls and glasses because they forgot to fill up the shelves. On day 2 I found the same old burnt croissant that was also there in day 1. If you arrive half an hour before breakfast closes there are not much breakfast left. We asked for a croissant but it was too late.

The hotel was really nice, and exactly what we expected from the description and the photos. Our room was small but we knew this when we booked it, and it didn’t really matter as we were there for a long weekend. The breakfast was great - a full buffet with so many different options hot and cold. Check in and check out was very quick. Location is good but it was a bit of a trip on the metro to central (about 40 minutes). Chueca is walking distance and we found nice bars and restaurants here. There is also lots of nice bars and cafes in the area of the hotel that were really reasonably priced compared to central!

We were disappointed with the toiletries available, as they were not what was photographed. Also don’t recommend using the razor provided as my partner injured himself multiple times using it!

Very convenient location in walking distance to several U-Bahn stations including direct line from the airport makes it a great starting point to move around town. The design of the hotel is pretty funky and there is oldschool arcade style game machines spread out around the hotel. Our room was very comfy. I especially liked that the fridge in the room was empty so you can put your own stuff in it (there was a note explaining this was on purpose). The rooftop pool is not big but it's a nice option to chill at after a full day of activities. As anywhere in Madrid there is tons of bars and restaurants right out the door - I am hoping to try out some of them on my next visit.

Really cool hotel lobby, clean room and comfortable beds and a good bathroom kit (even the razor and toothpaste were influded). Generally rather comfortable accomodation except a few little drawbacks.

I liked the idea of the pool but there is no view at all so the fact that it’s on the rooftop doesn’t really make any impression. The pool is also pretty small but will work for a quick cooldown in a really hot day. Although if you’re about to pay more for that pool and you’re not a „hotel bar” person - i would not reccomend to do so. Also, i was aware that im booking the smallest room but i get a feeling that it could be arranged a little bit smarter so it can use the maximum of the tiny space. Rooms are also really, really dark! One more source of light would be a good idea.

The staff was very accomodating and helped us with all of our enquiries. The room was well equipped and the bed super comfy. It has a great location to move around Madrid and the decoration/theme of the hotel is a bit exotic so it gives you an interesting vibe. They have like a "office" space that you can use and they have arcade machines with unlimitted games!

The only thing I want to mention is that the pool in the rooftop looks a bit shaby.
