Leonardo Boutique Hotel Madrid

The room was very clean and spacious, it was worth paying slightly extra to go for a deluxe room as it was nice to have a large balcony to sit on to have a coffee in the morning and a beer in the evening. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good and there were plenty of towels and toiletries provided. Complimentary coffee pods in the room were a nice bonus as well. Breakfast was good, there could have been a slightly greater selection but overall I was happy. We were able to check in slightly early on arrival which was appreciated. It is a 20-30 minute walk straight down to the Grand Via with plenty of cafes and bars to break up the journey if you wish. The hotel was easy to reach from the Airport via the Metro system and there is a Metro station (Canal) a 5 minute walk away.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The breakfast was quite good for a 3* hotel, with some freshly cooked meals (sausages, omelette, scrambled eggs) - definitely a good way to start the day. The check-in and checkout were smooth and efficient, no waiting time. The bed was average, but decent (again, for the 3*), quite oversize for the room size I had.

The bathrooms could be freshened up (cracks in the tiles, joints, overall a bit outdated). The sound isolation could also be better, especially in a smaller (single) room where I was staying, the bed was right next to the door and any exterior movement sounded as if it was directly in the room.

The hotel/room was very clean, the check-in was very smooth and easy. WiFi worked great. You have all the essential stores around the hotel. The hotel is a short walk to some of the tourist locations and about a 25m walk to the city centre. The noise from outside the hotel can be heard, but it's not a very busy street so it was completely bearable. Some noise could be heard from hotel neighbours (like toilet flushing and showering), but luckily during our stay, the neighbours were quiet. Besides that, I can't find any faults. 100% would stay again and anyone reading the reviews should highly consider staying here during their stay in Madrid.

Nice hotel in a neighborhood that is quiet and mostly residential but has lots of nice restaurants and coffee places nearby. We were able to upgrade to a nicer and quieter room on the top floor for a reasonable fee. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Very clean room and flawless housekeeping service.

Poor soundproofing between rooms and noise from the pipes and technical installations. Somewhat dated interior. Old elevators need an upgrade.

Everything was perfect for what it is

The breakfast menu variety was a bit on low side. Decent but could be better. All mornings the same menu, only a couple of hot meals such as scrambled eggs, boiled sausages, bacon but nothing like pancakes waffles or something else. Not saying it was bad but compared to other similar hotels - a bit worse.

Comfortable beds, BBC News channel on the tv, lovely clean sheets and lots of hot water, bidet, bath and shower (I used all three), kettle. Very nice breakfast buffet with plenty of choice and an excellent bean-to-cup coffee machine. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Rather cramped with the third bed in the room. Also street was quite noisy with a bottle recycling bin below our window. A pleasant but not particularly interesting part of town.

Friendly staff, clean good sized room. Great breakfast, with good hot and cold selection, fruit and pastries. . Not in centre but easily walkable, if not wanting to walk, metro nearby to reach all the sights and get to/from airport . Lots of nice places for food and drink near the hotel. Will hopefully have the opportunity to stay again and would definitely recommend.

Good location. The room was rather small but reasonably comfortable for one person. Perfectly clean. The wifi functioned well. Did not have much interaction with the service, but whatever I had was good.

The room could have been more spacious. The price was quite high, though I guess hotels in Madrid are pricey (unless hostals) and I booked last minute.

Helpful staff, clean room, firm and comfortable bed. Good shower, although the bathroom is small. I liked the area: good local restaurants, safe, with easy connections via the metro (5 min walk).

Single room is a bit small and there was nowhere to easily put a case. Price was a bit expensive for what it offers, possibly due to events in the city that weekend.

It's a comfortable hotel located in a neighborhood where there is no reason to stay unless you are on a business trip. Breakfast good but overpriced. It is conveniently located nearby a metro station and if you like to walk you can go everywhere in 45 minutes tops. The staff was nice, temperature in the room perfect. Bed comfortable.

Everything was fine except for the price. They were capitalizing on a fully booked Madrid, but I still paied more than double the normal price.
