I liked my room, and especially the patio. I had breakfast on the patio and worked from there in the mornings (when it was cool enough). I loved the pool on the roof where you could cool off in the afternoons and early evenings. I also liked the location, which was within walking distance of Retiro Park and even most of the tourist areas (if you like to walk). It was also not far to the Metro station and to restaurants in the trendy Salamanca area.

I didn't like that I had to pay a hefty fee for parking (because they use a parking facility down the road). I also did not like the small size of my room - I was working remotely and it was difficult to spread out my clothes and my desk/office work in the room as it was really quite cramped. There wasn't much shelf space or closet space either.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The beds were just so comfortable. The bathroom was fabulous, every amenity you could think of was provided for. The location was the best!! The staff were really really nice and accommodating. I thought the added gesture of providing us with a bottle of water, each, every day was a perfect touch. Another lovely touch was the chocolate placed on our pillows every night!

I think for a room of that standard, there should have been a coffee making machine. Like Nespresso etc. These days most 5* star Hotels provide a proper coffee maker. Most Europeans are fussy about their coffee and most don't drink coffee from a sachet anymore. But it was nice to have the kettle and the tea!

The Madrid marathon was at the doorstep, top location. It was also at the top of the Serrano & Claudio Coello shopping streets, perfect. I was really really happy with the gluten free breakfast and in room service.

If i have to mention room for improvement, then id wish that there was an earlier check in option. 15.00 is personally a bit late. Also, it would be great if the in room dining menu was on the TV instead of having to download a too me a bit complicated app.

We stayed at the property for 10 nights and I can tell for sure the staffs are very friendly and helpful. There are always staffs greeting you at the entrance door. The taxi is usually available outside the hotel entrance so it is a very convenient to start the day. The staff at the hotel restaurant served us with cheerful attitude even though it was late in the night. The hotel is conveniently located at the city center.

The room lighting is not bright. Preferable to have a bigger or brighter lamp.

I like the rooms , they are specious and clean . I also like the location as it’s not far from Serrano . I was also doing a hybrid MBA with IE university and the location was great for me .

I think the service in the bar near reception could be better for a 5 star hotel . The lobby area also in terms of Porter and whole lobby area could use and upgrade .

very clean, amazing location, superb bed and shower. you can’t go wrong with this hotel. The hotel is very calm, you can get a very good night sleep here after a long tiring day. the staff are nice and receptive. the location is just amazing, in the middle of many highly rated restaurants and coffee shops and 2 min walk from the famous shopping street Serrano.

the lights in the room is too dim, the AC turns on automatically even if you shut it off, the staff entered my room for cleaning even though I pressed the don’t disturb button.

Very comfortable bed and linen. Room is slightly small but perfectly adequate if you are touring Madrid. conveniently located near metro stops but also within walking distance of Gran Via and Retiro. Situated in a good and safe area of Madrid surrounded by good restaurants Staff are helpful and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The bar was a pleasant place to relax.

Room slightly too dark at night.

Breakfast offered a large variety of foods, and a great variety of cheese products. Also, they are providing some foods prepared on the spot (i.e. omelettes, fried eggs, pancakes, waffles). The room was comfy, and the bath was equipped with all the necessary amenities.

The room had poor natural light (it was oriented toward an internal courtyard), and the lights, even if numerous, were quite low intensity.

I loved pretty much everything: the staff was beyond professional, breakfast selection was great, bet was stiff (which I like), and location is superb - quiet and very central, great public transport connection to whatever you want.

not a deal breaker, but I wish they had another pillow in bed . would have been nice to have a second option. the pillow I had was way too soft for my personal liking. also I was not impressed about the dinner at the hotel. food was good, not great, 4 out of 5 I would say. the presentation on the plate was a bit poor and boring , not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel (main dish particularly). if you order steak and potatoes - you literally get steak and potatoes. not a single additional pretty looking vegetable on the side to make it look extra appealing. I must admit, the waiters were amazing though. super professional.
