Petit Palace President Castellana

Location is excellent for those who want to visit museums (Prado, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum) and enjoy shopping. 4 bus routes 20 meters to the left of the hotel, any of the buses will take you to the "Museum Quarter", National library and Tourist office (4 - 6 bus stops or 20 minutes of walk in a good weather). To the right of the hotels - "kilometres" of a luxury shopping (in fact for any budget). Service is perfect. The staff is great. My special thanks to Olga, she knows almost everything about Madrid, museums, logistics. She loves her city and her job. She is helpful and professional. I would like also to mention her colleagues Juan and Yago. They are very attentive and helpful. I also want to thank the staff of the hotel restaurant for amazing breakfast.

However, the hotel needs a serious renovation. This disadvantage, however, is compensated by the excellent staff.

The location was amazing, we were only a 20 minute bus ride to Sol and there was a bus stop more or less outside the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms were quiet and clean.

The decor was quite dated, the room didnt come with a kettle or hairdryer BUT when we asked for them, the staff were really accomodating. The room was on the small size, with a strange layout with the glass bathroom and the shower was difficult to control. The cupboards were strangely laid out so I just lived out of the suitcase when I do normally prefer to hang items up (the wardrobe was too short in height to hang up a long coat). The bed was comfy but it had this strange gap behind the pillows where a headboard should have been so you did end up losing pillow in the night. The location and staff really carried the hotel, I'd say it was in need of a revamp in decor but we did really enjoy our stay.

The staff are great. A special shout-out to Olga, who deserves a special mention for helping me change rooms late at night when the heating broke down, and going over and above to make this easy. Thank you, Olga! Loved the location. Loved the fact there was a bath and a shower that worked well.

Don't expect it to look like a palace, either inside or out! I didn't like the decor at all, and the hotel is long overdue for a refurb. Not very noise proof.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was brilliant ,steps from the Serrano Corte Ingles and walking distance to Retiro and Puerta de Alcalá. Very good neighborhood. All the staff was very helpful and the rooms and beds were comfortable

I do feel the hotel is a bit outdated and needs some freshening up , especially in the common areas and hallways. Some areas are dimly lit. But all in all it was a good value for this area.

Location's amazing, Barrio Salamanca's always a great spot to stay. Amazing food, safety, not crowded and availability of public transportation or taxi. Petit Palace and their sister locations are always a guarantee of kind service and hotel comfort.

Safety box links your credit card in order to be used, i would change them to regular code ones. It's me just being picky, other than that amazing hotel.

Clean room, very nice shower with jets. Comfortable bed, though I wish I kept my 2 twin I reserved and I changed for a one bed at check in, the queen bed was a bit uncomfortable for me and my husband. We did not get breakfast in hotel but they offer for $11 euros

All good, no complains. Reasonable price for the area in Salamanca Barrio in Madrid

We were treated like long time friends. The location allowed us to walk to many sites including Retiro Park, Gran Via, Mercado la Paz and the Royal Palace. Lots of good food.

Liked everything. Can't wait to go back.

The team at the hotel very helpful and kind ready to help and giving you a nice welcome, they keep cold water at the reception that makes your welcoming special, it's very important and nice the sense of arrival in a hotel. They provide a nice kit for our dog. The location is very nice close to shopping centers nice restaurants of all kinds.

The location is great, the staff as well. Very friendly and helpful.

Part of the infrastructure is not in line with the 4 stars segment. A towel with some holes, a broken soap dispenser, some loose plugs.

Excellent breakfast, nice pastry and super foods available. Also liked the sustainable approach of toiletries items in the room. Also noticed de room service is from an outsource service that delivered everything perfectly packed and great menu options.

The safe box working with my credit card, had a bit trouble learning to use it.
