The Pavilions Madrid Hotel

stayed in the Executive Room. very nice. clean. spacious. lovely bathrooms. Beautifully decorated. I used the cleaning service sporadically, but when I did, it was excellent. Location was perfect. right in the Salamance area - very quiet and serene. a short taxi ride to the bustling centre.

The incense and scents sprayed throughout the hotel. very strong. very unpleasant smell. For those of us who have scent allergies - not tolerable. Why do they have it? Scents are so personal. It was overwhelming and enough that I had to take antihistamines each day. Beautiful hotel, well situated, lovely staff. However, I wouldnt return because of the incense or scents sprayed throughout the hotel.,Unfortunately.

The hotel is simply classy. You feel it from the entrance to the lobby. Personnel is highly professional and helpful. Very good breakfast, quality products. Service is excellent! Facilities are new and sparkling clean. The room is large. Garage parking (lift is used, so in case of a long car - contact reception in advance to ensure your car fits into the elevator). Gym available. Area is super safe, as nearby is the ministry of internal affairs, and the neighbourhood is watched by the police. Overall, we had a really good stay, worth the money you pay.

We liked everything and will definitely consider stay in this hotel again.

The room was very nice and large. It was quit and very comfortable, with nice decoration and chairs in addition to the bed. The closet was large as well. The reception staff was helpful and the breakfast staff friendly.

There was no room service one night because apparently the restaurant nearby was undergoing alterations. The breakfasts were not a buffet, as you usually get at Spanish hotels, but set menu choices. This is fine for a couple of days but gets tiresome after that because of lack of diversity.

Customer service on the front desk was superb. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms were immaculate and bed very comfortable. Good location too. 5 min walk to Alfonso Martinez Station or 5 min walk into Serrano shopping district.

The only complaint of my stay was the fact i could hear the TV being played in the room opposite to me. If people are moving around or talking in the hallway you can deff hear them (especially with suitcases). Perhaps the hotel could put up some signs in the elevator to remind patrons to keep noise to a minimum when moving in the hallways, and/or insulate doors better.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and the room was nice, tidy and comfortable. We were impressed by the quality and neatness of the room and we would recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable stay close to the center of Madrid.

The parking situation was the biggest hassle for us, the space was too small and wouldn't fit our car and as first timers driving in Madrid, it was difficult to find an alternative spot. Another issue was that it was in the same street as a ministry so we had to park at least a block away. We didn't really understand the parking meter system here so we took a risk by parking it on the road, which wasn't our preferred spot

The lobby was smart, bright and fragrant and my bedroom was spacious and extremely comfortable. as I was in town for work, I appreciated the small table and padded bench by the window for working, and abundant plugs and USB ports for my devices. the waterfall shower was invigorating and the toiletries really lovely. Quiet, clean, friendly staff in the front desk at arrival and departure. Location perfect for my work at the Archaeological Museum, and well placed for the airport train transfer via nearby station Recoletos. I would definitely return.

I ordered dinner via room service as I was working, and after an hour it had not arrived. I called front desk, and the staff member apologised immediately and claimed responsibility for being distracted by a busy reception. The meal then arrived within minutes, and the staff member thanked me for being patient. This was all handled well and ultimately it was no problem - staff very kind.

The beds are insanelyyy cozy and soft and made for the perfect post-flight jet lag catch-up. The staff were also so wonderful. Maria helped us checkin and confirmed locations for us of the places we planned to visit. They even had an adapter they let us borrow for a few days! It was so quiet. I would stay again.

Nothing! it was a few minutes from the center of town, but that made it nice and quiet and it was easy to walk to and from. It was also easy to get an Uber. 

The location and facilities are superb. As many other reviews said, it feels very safe due its proximity to government buildings. We were able to have a wonderful night influenced by the hotel staff's suggestions and enjoy the area around us. The shower was also very nice, as were the beds.

The noise transferred between interior walls which made for a restless night in addition to having troubles with the AC. There is a tablet to help trouleshoot the AC but even following the directions we were unable to remedy.

A hidden gem - this hotel is situated opposite the buildings of the Ministry of the interior which means that traffic is limited in the street and the Guardia Civil are on hand with guns protecting the buildings. So you are never going to find such a quiet and safe boutique hotel in Madrid. The staff are very friendly too. There is a buffet breakfast and you can get eggs cooked as you wish. The Gran Via can be reached on foot in 10 minutes and we walked to most of the major attractions.

There is no bar or an area to sit in during the evening but we walked out to bars and restaurants. There is building work next door so best to phone ahead and check the situation. This did not affect us as it was a weekend.

The location is amazing! 10 minutes from the center, however in a quite and beautiful neighborhood, with many good restaurants, bars and stores. The room was big, clean, with great facilities. Staff was welcoming, helpful and always available. A perfect stay in Madrid, will definitely come back!

The only thing we’d be happy to have is an available bar during the afternoon & early evening, to have a coffee/drink.
