VP El Madroño

Very nice and helpfull staff. Very pretty rooms and the garden was very beautiful ! The location was outstanding!! There were delicious restaurants and small bakeries everywhere, and a metro stop right outside the door :)

We payed for a room with a small kitchen so we could make some breakfast or lunch, but the kitchen did not have anything else than plates, cutlery and cups, which made it very difficult to make anything.

Convenient place, a quiet neighbourhood close to the centre and airport (20+ minutes by bus 200). Spacious rooms. There's nothing wrong with towels and bathrooms as other reviews suggested. Decent wifi. Two types of coffee machines (electric drip and Nespresso).

The garden side is quiet but the rooms are not soundproof (don't trust this mark if you're a light sleeper). You can easily hear other people talking not to mention closing heavy doors. The fridge works like a tank (but there's a possibility of switching it off). Kitchen equipment is modest at least. Lacks a decent knife for bread or fruits. Nothing to wash tables except hot water. From pictures it looks like you can sit on the sofa bed, in reality, it is very far from being comfortable.

I believe the hotel gave me an upgrade on my stay, as I was really surprised with the size of the room when I walked in. I originally booked a double room, but got a huge room that had a lounge and kitchen area! The breakfast is good with sweet and savoury options, and the staff were all kind and helpful. I asked for the reception to call me a taxi for the next morning as I had a morning flight, and the driver was there waiting for me around 10 minutes early. Would highly recommend this hotel for business trips.

The only less positive thing I can mention is the wifi. For some reason the hotel wifi worked in some parts of the room but not in the bed area. This didn't affect me much as I didn't specifically work from the hotel.

The room was large. Beds were very large and comfortable. The kitchenette was great for light food prep. Very clean hotel. The adjoining park was lovely. We would sit there in the morning and drink our coffee. The location could not be beat. You could go anywhere with the metro very close. Quiet neighborhood but shopping was also within walking distance. Overall a very good hotel. Oh and the best parking experience we have had in Spain. Parking is at the property, it is spacious and easy access.

We had to ask for a sponge and dish soap. Although room service does the dishes I did not like having dirty dishes in my room until room service came to clean. They did not have a toaster or kettle.

Convenient location, without a car you can easily reach to hotel from the airport with bus no 200. Easy check-in, comfortable bed, and large room. Nice bathroom. Couch, Nespresso machine, and TV with La Liga! And also the cleanliness of the room was perfect.

Internet... I stayed at room 503, inside the room internet was terrible. Had to go to reception to work. I complained during my stay, they said there is an extension on the fifth floor but still no joy! You might have a good experience in another room for sure..

The rooms are spacious, sparkling clean and well insulated from neighboring rooms. The staff is very courteous, helpful and accomodating. I like VP El Madroño because it is located in a nice neighborhoods with plenty of food options, groceries and basic needs such pharmacies. It is also well connected with the more touristic locations of Madrid, it is an easy metro ride to the airport and within walking distance from the major bus station in the city. I look forward to staying there again!

The room was very spacious and comfortable. It looked exactly as in the photos. The kitchen was very equipped with all you need, and having a microwave and fridge was very practical when traveling with a baby. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

The elevators where a bit small, so getting in with a baby in a stroller was a bit tricky. The street views of the hotel aren’t very pretty, but if you close the blinds problem solved.

We had a super nice stay here, highly recommend ! 📍 Location is top,5 minn walking from Intercambiador de Av America (direct bus from/to the Airport). 👣 In the heart of barrio Salamanca with everything at a walking distance (supermarkets, restaurants, shops…) 🛏 The room & the bathroom were spacious, clean and comfortable. It is located in the parallel street of a busy road, so it is mostly quiet if facing the exterior. The hotel is a bit old but very well maintained. 🥄 The little American kitchen is convenience and has most of the basic tools (including a coffee machine but without coffee). 🛎 Great service ! From the reception to the cleaning staff, they were all kind & attentive.

The room was very spacious, exactly like what it is in the photo. Helpful staff. The room was very clean and the bed was super large and comfy. Very convenient transport around the hotel, traveled mostly by metro to the city center and it was quite quick. From the airport to the hotel was like a 25 minutes taxi. Highly recommended, good value.

The lobby and the lift of the hotel look quite old. But it didn't affect us at all. So everything was fine.

Clean, comfortable, spacious & well-appointed rooms. Big windows. Kitchenette was a great feature. Helpful & courteous staff. Private parking on site. Very convenient & accessible location. Lots of dining & supermarket options nearby. Close to metro & bus stops. Quiet & safe neighborhood. Will definitely book here again on our next trip to Madrid.
