Ark Hotel

We stayed at the hotel during the Arena di Verona Opera festival. We were looking for a hotel with parking for a car and the best ratio of price, service level and distance to the Arena. The hotel has its own underground parking at a price of 10 Euros. The walking distance to the Arena is 25 minutes. On the evening of the performance, we drove to the Arena by our car and left it at the Arena Car Park (Via M. Bentegodi) To the Arena - 400 meters, for 5 hours we paid 19 Euros. Spacious room with new furniture. Large and comfortable shower. Friendly staff. I took an iron from the reception. Good breakfast from 7 am. The hotel met our expectations and is a great option to stay during the festival.

Facilities great, location very good, breakfast selection was fabulous. Checkin staff and the person served us late at night on Friday was very good and friendly.

Lady on the day we left, I thought there was complimentary water setup for guests on the table as there was many glasses set up there and two bottles of water one still and one sparkling. I helped myself and husband to some water out of one bottle. She then shouted at me asking did I take two glasses. I apologised and advised I thought they were complimentary. Then as she walked away she shouted at me that next time I should ask and then came over with the bottle saying I might as well finish it as I was going to have to pay for it. Her attitude stunk and I made a genuine mistake. I did pay for the water but would not go back as for the sake of two glasses of water her customer care was disgusting.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It's about 10-15 mins (pretty much straight route) walk from the train station then an enjoyable 15-20 min walk into the centre where you are presented with the fantastic Arena and hustle & bustle of the town. My travels around Italy consist of a lot of walking and keeping luggage as light as possible, so this type of timings feel great for me however if you are holding a lot of luggage you may wish to jump in a taxi for 5 mins. The staff are fantastic, the hotel is exceptionally clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing and there is a great breakfast and coffee :) to set you up for the day. My room faced a busy road and I heard nothing, slept really well. I used Verona as a base whilst travelling solo and also visited Milan and Venice as well using the trains and the Ark Hotel was perfect. As a female travelling solo, I also felt safe in the early evenings when walking back from the station. I will be returning to Verona in the near future and will return to stay here for sure. (The train station is a very busy one, so be prepared for this.)

The hotel is very comfortable, the staff from the reception, the ladies that serve the breakfast to the cleaning staff, are very helpful. The location is great, with a short distance from the train station and the town centre, located in a quiet and safe area. The breakfast is ideal and has a great variety of options. Special thanks to Francesca and Florencia, amazing ladies, friendly and helpful. This is my second time staying at the hotel, and I definitely recommend it. I will come back soon.

Would be nice to have access to YouTube in the TV room.

Very clean, tidy and modern hotel. Great location for train station. About 10 mins walk. Staff were great and extremely helpful. We added an extra room to our original booking with no bother at all. We broke up our stay for one night to stop in Rome and they allowed us to store our bags there overnight so we could just take our essentials with us. Checked straight back in the following day with no problem at all. Breakfast lovely. Good selection and a great cup of English tea. Had good air conditioning. About 20 mins walk to Verona town centre. Would definitely recommend.

Close to the train station, a bit of a walk towards the main sights in the city, but everything is so pretty in Verona that the walk isn't a problem at all (about 25min to Giulieta's House). We had read online that bedrooms near the service elevator were noisy, but ours was right next to it and we didn't hear a sound, so don't worry about that. Parking doesn't require booking in advance. The bathroom and bedroom were spacious. Wifi worked perfectly.

It's a matter of deciding if you prefer to be closer to the train station (our case) or the city center. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.

We had an excellent stay one of the best. The staff are absolutely amazing Francesca & Angelo were very helpful with directions places to see. Always smiling they were fantastic. thank you. breakfast was very tasty and the staff were very efficient. The hotel is very clean and we felt very safe and comfortable The location was perfect, as we planned a hectic few days. Thank you and we would definitely recommend Ark Hotel. 5 stars +

Clean, spacious and well designed room. Ideally placed for the train station and airport shuttle bus, but also walking distance from the city centre and the major attractions. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the shower was very good.

Breakfast wasn’t great for a 4 star, mostly cold - and the scrambled eggs were cold too. Coffee was from a machine, not freshly made. Rooms were pretty basic style-wise, but it was fine for a one-night stay and convenience was more important to us on this occasion.

The hotel is close to the main railway station (7-10 minutes walking distance), a little bit far from the city center (20-25 minutes walking to the Arena di Verona). The walking the to the St. Zeno Basilica is 15-20 minutes. The breakfast was perfect. The room size was OK. The bed and pillow were comfortable. The room and the bathroom were clean. The staff was very friendly and kind and printed museums' tickets for me. The wifi was OK, foo.

Convenient for transferring from Airport due to the proximity to the station. Which also allows easy links to other locations via train. 20 min walk to centre of Verona. Excellent breakfast, super friendly and helpful staff. Room very comfortable, good size and air conditioned which was much appreciated given the temperatures outside.
