Hotel Mastino

The rooms were not anything like the photos on the website as far as the staff every single person was awesome wonderful the guys for breakfast the girl that clean the room the men and women that work the front desk everybody was awesome would I stay there again I would stay there again but you need to update those photos because those rooms didn't look anything like the photos

I liked the entire staff

The location is great, walking distance from all landmarks. There is a public parking garage across the street if you are coming by car. It was very clean, we stayed for 5 nights and they were changing our sheets, towels, and cleaning the room every day. We had a room on the back so it was nice and quiet at night. Breakfast was ok.

The bed was king size but consisted of two mattress merged at the middle making sleeping uncomfortable. The pillows are too thin so more of the uncomfortable sleeping. We booked a superior room and got a regular one, at least according to the pictures, so either pictures are inaccurate or we were downgraded.

Stayed in the apartments, this was our third visit to the same apartment so we knew what to expect. Location is excellent, easy walking distance to centre and train station and as three ladies we felt safe at night. Apartment was large enough for 3 of us and a second bathroom is a bonus. Air conditioning worked well and cooled quickly. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

The kitchen could do with more mugs and spoon! The only downside this time was the all night party noise from the apartment downstairs for the first two nights and I do mean all night!! The staff were excellent on the second night when a complaint was made at 1am and all did go quiet for a few hours before it started up again. Luckily they had left on the third night.

The location was great and any easy walk to the historic center and theater. The building is nice and the rooms are overall fine. It was good for a one night stay.

The parking situation isn't bad but it's complicated. You have to go inside and tell them you are there (which can be hard as there is no where to park in front of the hotel. They send a staff member with you to a garage where you get your own little sort of storage unit where you park your car. You get to keep the key so you can access the garage anytime but it's not the easiest system, but it's safe and for the location it's a good option if you are driving Also the room was very stuffy, we were able to get a fan for our room, but it definitely was still hot

I liked that the apartment had a small kitchen and some basic kitchenware for cooking along side a decent size mini fridge and a microwave. The apartment itself was situated in view of river Adige and that was pretty good. I also liked that Hotel Mastino who dealt with the check-in had a staff member who took us to our apartment by car and explained to us the entry process further. The wifi was decent but sometimes it was lagging.

I didn't like the fact that there were no slippers on the apartment. I'll remove 1 star just for that.

Hotel was nice and staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was large and clean. Location was not quite central, but the neighborhood was quite pleasant and subway and bus to anywhere were very easy, with the Duomo 10 minutes away. There were restaurants with a range of quality and price points in the neighborhood. Breakfast was nice and garden is a plus as well. Milan had a lot more to offer than we expected beyond the Duomo central area with museums and modern urban developments with great architecture.

I have no Milan comparisons with which to judge but seemed a bit pricey for what it was. Our room, although large had no comfortable chair in which to recline and relax, just some hard-shell uprights. The lobby had some comfortable seating and was always quiet and pleasant.

We stayed at San lorenzo apartment first floor with 2 beds and 2 bathrooms... it was well equipped, centrally located with river view and we enjoyed our stay.

Just a few minor things.. Although we loved that the kitchen facilities were behind this beautiful wooden closer, the connection for the kettle was awkward...we had to use the floor plug. There could be a small pan for those.who want to prepare an omlette for breakfast. Otherwise a lovely apartment.

Fabulous location as we were going to see the opera at the Arena. Excellent as we could just walk over super easy . Stuff at the reception desk where fantastic and very helpful and friendly 😁😁 Also parking was available for our car ,so that was excellent. You need to pay but that’s ok and it was a short walk away from the hotel . Room was small but had a big comfortable bed and aircon so that was great as it was a hot June day . We enjoyed our stay . Well located next to area and not far from train station. Wi-fi is fast and strong. Staff are friendly and very kindly lent us opera cushions which saved us buying something we could not take - better for the environment. Junior suite was spacious with 2 bedrooms, quiet and dark with the blinds closed.

Beds were a little squeaky in our room (junior suite). The King bed waa 2 single beds together, which is ok but a thicker mattress topper would have fixed that.

The location of the hotel is perfect. 15 min walk from the train station or 10 euros by taxi. Easy enough to walk as its a straight line to the hotel which is situated just outside the Historic walled city of Verona. Room was very comfortable and quiet as we had a side room looking onto the courtyard. Five minute walk into the heart of Verona and the Arena. The breakfast room was very very busy and a little chaotic. Coffee machine was not working very well and we ended up only having juice to drink and buying a coffee when we left the hotel. Other than that it was a good stay as the location made up for the breakfast experience
