The location was wonderful, the people who work here are so kind and helpful, the breakfast is lovely, it is a very quaint bed & breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are big!

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, rock hard. We tried to add some extra blankets to soften it a bit, but it was a very very hard bed. Otherwise this is such a great little B&B!

It was an authentic building of the historic area of L’Abbazia di San Zeno. The bedroom was charming with antique furniture, a very comfortable bed, private bathroom, very clean. There was access to a separate sitting room with drinks, hot and cold available. There was also access to a pretty walled garden. We enjoyed the most wonderful breakfast prepared and cooked by Francoise. We also had great conversations with Francoise who has a background in Archaeology. She was very helpful with local information. The casa was in walking distance to the Centro Storico, very close to the riverside walk and very close to Piazza San Zeno where we found a selection of bars and restaurants for meals. There was bus stop in Piazza San Zeno for a quick journey to Verona Porta Nuova Stazione. We really loved staying there and exploring Verona.

Leaving!

This is the second time I’ve stayed here in the last year, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Françoise is a warm and welcoming host, and the four bedroom property reflects that traditional homelike warmth. Very comfortable with excellent amenities. 10 min walk along the river to Piazza Bra, but would recommend a taxi if you are going to the Giusti Gardens (beautiful) or Roman Theatre unless you enjoy a much longer walk. 20 min ride to the airport. My parents and I enjoyed our stay so much, thank you!

Nothing to dislike.

This B&B was a truly authentic, very pretty, city hideaway. We had originally booked a ‘non-refundable’ stay for 2020… When that obviously didn’t happen, Françoise was quick to reassure us our stay would be honoured for the following year. 2021 was also a no-go due to the restrictions, and the host really went above and beyond to make sure we could retain our booking, finally, for 2022. This was regardless of there being no obligation for them to do so, and yet we felt so welcomed during our stay. I would not have expected any of the ‘big chains’ to be so accommodating. And we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The property is over 400 years old, gently restored but with modern amenities: the air conditioning after 37 degree city heat was bliss! A 15min walk from the city, but along the river with beautiful views. A quiet neighbourhood in the city, was also an amazing plus. Excellent continental breakfast, with fresh coffee and pastries every morning. There was also a tea/coffee and seating area in the guest area where you can help yourself to cold beer and water as often as you require. A home-from-home experience.

Nothing not to like.

A lovely B&B located in a quiet neighborhood 15 minutes away from the Old City, right near the St. Zeno Cathedral. Quite a few nice restaurants and bars very close by, but notably less tourists. The room is spacious and very clean. The bed is very comfortable, although surprisingly firm at first. Breakfasts in the beautiful garden are a treat. In fact, we loved it so much that we stayed a week instead of one night.

Beware that the house is rather old, so you may occasionally hear other guests from your room. However, there were only a few people staying, so it did not bother us.

The hotel is practically next door to San Zeno and a 10 minute walk from the old city centre. The hotel location is exceptionally quiet; you can only hear the birds! The garden is lovely and relaxing. The breakfast is indeed quite good. You can eat to your heart's delight and be all set for a full day of sightseeing. Our room was very nicely decorated, the bed really large and very comfortable. And Madame Francoise is a great hostess, very helpful, effective and friendly. She made us feel as invited family friends!

We really could not find something to fault!

The room was very charming and lovely, and overlooked the garden. The property felt very homey, and well maintained. The owner was very hospitable, and made us the most delicious breakfast, which she served to us in the garden. We stayed one night in Verona and walked from the hotel to the city plaza and back. No taxi needed from this spot - if you enjoy walking! Even though the house is old, it was well equipped with all of the modern features you would need, including fast wi-fi, plenty of outlets and a lovely updated bathroom. The bed was also very comfortable - we slept like rocks!

One tip would be to make sure to reply to emails from the host - especially regarding your estimated arrival time. I had neglected to do this, and she made it a point to let us know that she didn't know when to expect us because we didn't respond to her emails. I think she just wanted to make sure she could be there when we arrived and welcome us, but it made for a slightly awkward greeting. Oops!

Breakfast plentiful and eggs excellent. The location is superb, within 100 yards of lots of restaurants and bars of San Zeno. The church is a must there too. Only a short stroll to Piazza Bra. The accommodation is excellent with beautiful room, well equipped. The garden is beautiful to sit in. We were well looked after.

Nothing.

Lovely sized room, air conditioned and all amenities were thought of. Nice touch having free bottles of water and beer in the fridge for guest to help themselves to. Delicious breakfast and close to many local restaurants so didn't need to head into the centre each night. Lovely host and really went out of the way to help out when needed.

Spotlessly clean and a fantastic location. We couldn’t have asked for a more helpful and attentive host. Having breakfast laid out for us in the beautiful garden was a lovely start to our holiday. We felt very comfortable coming and going as we pleased and there was plenty of space to relax after a long, hot day.
