Hotel Palace Verona

The main advantage of the hotel for those who come with a car is, of course, a free parking. We were also more than content with our room, which turned out rather big, well furnished and the bathroom had not only a big douche cabin but even a jacuzzi! The breakfast was good enough and besides a standard Italian set of food had thick pancakes, yogurts and fresh fruits. Despite the hotel is located at a distance from the town center, you won't even need to use your car or the public transport, if you're able to walk 5-8 km a day. We just built a route through main places of interest in Verona and walked leisurely one way through the old part of the town and back through the new one within one day. There are some restaurants and grocery stores not far from the hotel (we'd definitely recommended Pizza Rio).

Small elevators. Parking places in the underground garage were organized in a bit unusual way (apparently, to provide more parking places), which complicated maneuvering, when there were already many cars inside.

We were assigned a very large and spacious room which was a very pleasant and welcome surprise after 8 hours of driving. The concierge was extremely helpful (and jovial) in finding us a last minute table at a restaurant late in the evening, and thanks to his recommendation we enjoyed an exceptional dinner experience. The staff were highly professionalism in all their communication, from the messaging via booking to face to face encounters. The interior decor of the hotel is very beautiful and artful, and the ambience is serene and elegant. It’s also a quick taxi drive to the centre of Verona. We will absolutely choose this hotel again when travelling through the area. Also, staying in many hotels over the last month, this was the first hotel that did not charge a dog fee which was extremely appreciated and a lovely surprise. Highly recommend.

Not a downside, but merely something to note: I believe the only free parking is actually on the street directly in front of the hotel and it had already been taken up with many cars lining the street. Parking is underground for 10 euros which is an excellent price.

The bed was very very comfortable, one of the best I ever experienced in a hotel. Very clean space, close to the center, and bus station is right outside the hotel which goes to Puerta Nova train station very frequently, it was very easy to go around. The staff was helpful and great!

The smell of the perfume they used during cleaning in the room was too strong. We had to leave the window overnight for it to leave.

Large comfortable bedroom with good air conditioning. Underground car park with spacious parking bays. Good breakfast menu. Friendly staff. Taxi service available from hotel which was a godsend owing to the high temperatures.

I was not informed about the taxi service when checking in unless I missed it in the hotel itinerary. I had to find out for myself and again it was so good to be picked up at 1am after the opera finished.

Good sized clean room, comfortable bed. Mini bar was well stocked. Friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of foods for both continental breakfast and tasty dinners. Good car parking facilities.

Glass top on desk above fridge was chipped and sharp which could potentially cut a young child's finger or hand. Reported this and the glass was just turned round to reveal another chipped area.

all great 👍 to open the room is a bit tricky. you must push with your finger the red dot on your door and then put the key on the lock. if you know it, its easy.

The hotel is situated within 20 minutes walk from the town centre, what was absolutely fine for us. The staff was very helpful, the room spacious and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was fitted with accessible equipment and roll-in shower.

The lift doors are quiet narrow and the lifts are small. Maybe this is something to consider and check with the hotel staff before booking for a wheelchair user with a wider wheelchair.

Offers free parking & breakfast. Huge room & close to a few restaurants & supermarkets nearby. A bit out of city if you need to head into the centre. Not everyone’s taste but we found the room decor amusing, very old school Italian.

Rooms had a funny smell I suspect people gave been smoking. Breakfast staff weren’t very hospitable but overall was fine.

The breakfast was very good, with lots of choices and good coffee. Staff is nice, room was clean and they cleaned every day. It's in a nice quiet area, there is a Lidl close by, open on Sunday too. It has underground parking, which is useful. Good wi-fi. The hotel is not that close to walk to the city center, but there are some buses around.

Everything was fine, from the check-in and underground free parking, up to the bus station in front of the hotel (20 min ride for city center) and the receptionist who provided us with tickets and informations. Because Verona is much more than Julietta's balcony :) Ok, the hotel could use some upgrades (acces "key" for the room is a bit old school), but overall everything was in absolutely good functioning order. Breakfast was quite good served on the terrace.
