Auckland Airport Motel

The room was newly decorated and of a high quality (motel was recently impacted by extreme weather and flooding). The bed was warm and comfortable. Late check-in worked smoothly. Staff were friendly and very helpful, giving us a shuttle to the airport when we were ready in the morning, and earlier than the published time of 9am.

This is an issue with airport taxis, not the motel: We arrived at Auckland at 7:30pm and had to make our own way to the Motel as the shuttle had stopped, which we knew. Taxi drivers at airport were unhelpful and did not want to take us as it was a short trip, making a 5-10 minute journey take 45 minutes. A taxi driver directed us to the 38 bus, but as the bus didn't go past the motel and it was dark, the bus driver was worried about our safety so he took us to Mangere City Centre where we had to get the 36 bus that dropped us opposite the motel. Shout out to the bus company and drivers as neither would accept payment from us and the bus stop at the centre was a well lit location and bus company staff were present and very helpful.

The room I stayed in during my trip was spacious and maintained in a excellent condition. The daily cleaning service ensured that the room remained tidy and inviting throughout my stay. Additionally, I appreciated the thoughtful touch of having fresh towels provided every day, adding to the overall comfort of the accommodation. Location-wise, the motel proved to be a convenient choice as it was in close proximity to the airport and relatively near my workplace, making commuting easy. For those who require transportation to and from the airport, the motel offers airport transfer services. It's essential to arrange this service in advance either for arrival or departure, starting at 9 am. However, if you happen to have an early morning flight, alternative arrangements like a taxi would be necessary. The helpful staff at the Motel was more than willing to assist in arranging a taxi, but our particular schedule didn't require this service.

The motel's proximity to the main road is worth considering, particularly for light sleepers. While the spacious and clean room and other amenities were commendable, the potential noise from the nearby traffic might be a concern for some guests.

There was no breakfast provided, which we knew and understood . Plenty of milk, and hot beverage needs. Great for location to the airport. Bed very comfortable.

We didn't understand that the unit was two storied. As we are an elderly couple the stairs were difficult. In fact my wife chose to sleep downstairs. The shower rose was too high, with a dump rose. Not much good for short peole who want dry hair. Would be good as part of your advertising, to mention, some (all) units have mobility issues.

The staff cleaned up our dishes when we were gone. That was a nice surprise (even though there were only like 3 dishes). The room had "drinking chocolate" better known as "hot chocolate" to us Americans.

We were a group a 5 people (4 adults with one 14-year-old child) with the sofa bed pulled out. It was very tight for all of us with luggage and all. You have to walk up stairs to get to two of the beds. The stairs weren't really an issue, but they just took up some room. The toilet and shower room were pretty snug.

We stayed 2 nights for a long weekend getaway. We liked location to motorway and rainbows end, very easy to locate and get around Manakau.

An international traveller had arrived after reception had closed and he hadn't contacted them, to alert them to his new arrival time. He was very distressed and the after hours number went unanswered. I do feel that reception should be open longer or at least answer the phone to those needing assistance.

The closeness to the airport and our rental company. Very clean. Person managing the reception was very cheerful and friendly. Spacious upstairs area. Very basic unit. Appropriate for a arrive eat, sleep, fly scenarios. (we ate out/takeaways)

With sofa bed out not a lot of space or places to sit with 5 people in the room. Windows were hard to shut and upstairs one couldn't be shut fully so small draft coming through. Couldn't find an info book that some motels have about motel and what places are nearby.

Good place to crash for a night if you're between flights. Accommodation was warm and clean and had sufficient amenities. Appreciated the free shuttle to and from the airport terminals. Friendly and helpful staff.

Limited nearby food options if you don't have a vehicle, but just a 10 minute walk away to some food options. Little bit of noise from neighboring rooms but nothing major.

Comfy beds. Clean modern decor. Was a lovely unit.

Over powering ammonia smell on arrival. Cleaning had obviously used large amounts of bleach or exit mould. It was actually impossible to breathe without all the doors & windows open for 3hrs. Lucky we didn't arrive at night. No free internet either. It's capped & a small cap so 1 child watching movies & me working we ran out of internet in 2hrs. Not great having accommodation with no free wifii these days.

They were amazing! We'd had our flight rescheduled and had been awake all night because we couldn't get a room anywhere at 2am. Booked for the night here, and they let us check in early, even arranging to have it ready within 45mins of asking if it was even possible. I've never been so grateful! Love the beds here, the selection of pillows and the little Hi message on the cushion. 😁 Have stayed here before and will definitely stay again.

Nothing not to like.

On Arrival staff were friendly and very helpful. The room we had was clean and warm. Fresh towels on the bed. Even the next day the staff came knocking asking if we required new towels and I go tea needed replenishment. I must Say I will definitely stay there again. If bus required. You can catch one just outside the Motel.

Nothing much except we had little ant visitors. Cant leave any sweets or food on counter for long. Otherwise the stay there was a great stay.
