Best Western BKs Pioneer Motor Lodge

This is our 'go to' place for our (inevitably) early morning flight from Auckland back to Aus. Rooms are always very clean and tidy, provide all the essential amenities, and the location to the airport is pretty darn convenient. Special mention this time around to the receptionist who was very friendly and helpful.

Venue itself is great, but the surrounding suburb is fairly typical airport/industrial area so dining options are limited. It was also surprisingly difficult to refuel the car as the nearest station was actually out of fuel! (almost as bad as a pub with no beer!)

I loved the free shuttle bus, was very convenient when I landed and departed. As soon as I got to the room it was so cosy and warm, coming from Cairns Qld it was a delight to feel. The bed was comfortable with extra blankets. The kitchen had enough cutlery pots and pans to cook a nice meal for 2. The 1 bedroom unit was very clean and spacious overall. Milk and coffee was given on request which is appreciated and the shower was nice with good pressure.

Needed more parking space. The Spa bath in our room didn't work but the great shower made up for it. A slight problem with our Virtual Credit Card for payment to accommodation but it was sorted no thanks to the banks but the hotel staff were flexible for payment 3 days later.

The room was great, and meeted our expectations. We're were happy with the space and what was provided. The staff were very lovely and helpful, and also supported us in transport to the airport for our early morning flight which was much appreciated. My partner and I had recently booked accomodation at a Best Western establishment earlier on in the year, and actually had a very unpleasant experience. I gave the brand another opportunity, another chance. And for the one night, it was all good. Thank you!

There wasn't much to be desired in truth, the room was basic, had everything needed. I will say to nitpick at the highest level that the TV remote didn't seem to match the TV and the Televison itself wasn't in great working order. Less a complaint for us, and more so something to note for management. Otherwise, great for everything else.

We LOVE this place! It is our favourite place to stay when in Auckland. Shuttle will come and pick you up at airport, just a phone call away. The room was spotless, the bed comfy and warm. Got yummy food from an Indian resturant delievered. Book with confidence, you will not regret.

I could locate the stores at a distance of 5 mins from the Motel to buy some urgent things which I forgot to cary before traveling. All our request made at the time of booking were considered. Like, ground floor, bathtub, etc. In addition to all these, Free shuttle was provided, ON Time, for airport Pick up and drop. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

This was our second stay in BKs Motel in this year so we were aware of all the facilities. So this time there was nothing that we did not like. Only change we noticed from our last visit in March 2023, the Management had changed along with the staff.

The Hotel Property was quite near the Auckland International & Domestic Airport. The staffs (reception) and airport shuttle drivers were nice and warm. They were kind enough to allow for a late check out til 11 am (no extra cost). The free airport shuttle service was a big plus and brought a lot of convenience. The room and bathroom was big. There is a mini kitchen with sink which comes with mini ref, microwave, electric kettle and cutleries.

The location was a 2 km walk to Mangere Town Center which is the nearest shopping area where a lot of choices for places to eat and grocery stores (Pak N Save and Countdown) can be found. A little challenge especially if rain is pouring hard.

Handy to Airport and easy check-in. Friendly helpful staff, shuttle to shops was a bonus. Clean room and comfy bed was all I needed to be handy to the airport for an early flight

Nothing. They are amazing

We stayed at BKs before flying out and on flying back in. Car was stored at the hotel. This hotel is amazing value and service. the staff are fantastic. On the way out we had to book an extra room for an additional traveller. Phoned them and nothing was too much. On the way home websites told me they were sold out but a quick phone call secured us a room at a great rate. Late flight In and a phone call gets the shuttle which runs 24hrs - Aunty on the shuttle is awesome!!! Arrival in the room and curtains are drawn - lamps are on. Beds are comfy. Towels are fluffy they’re my new favourite for airport hotels.

Nothing

The shuttle service from the airport was very handy. The room was well cleaned, the bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. They stored our luggage when we went to pick up our rental car the next day which was just a couple of blocks away. There is a great Bakery and Indian restaurant - Indian Express - within easy walking distance. I highly recommend the motor lodge as it is great value for money but make sure you book ahead as they are very popular.
