Mount Richmond Hotel

The receptionist and restaurant staff were friendly & extremely helpful, the facilities catered to all my needs. My experience provided complete rest & relaxation which is just what I need after a day filled with driving.

On arrival I never realized how imperative it was for me to listen to the instructions, so getting to/from my room was a bit of a maze. SIGNAGE was confusing for me to follow. NB.When I came down for dinner, an Asian man was just inside the 24hr door looking for reception? Lost?

the staff could not do enough for us. they were so friendly and helpful, from opening doors for you to storing suitcases if you arrived hours earlier than check in. the hotel restaurant was beautiful and prepared and cooked fresh dinners and breakfasts at a very reasonable cost. they were excellent. the rooms were modern, clean and fresh, checked daily if you wanted. it was placed centrally in Auckland so everywhere was accessible. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know is visiting Auckland.

there nothing not to like.

The staff were wonderful, thank you to everyone we spoke to. They informed us when we got in that their could potentially be a bit of noise due to a kapa haka group staying. Super informative which was awesome. We didn't realize that the rooms closed at 11pm, and still got let in. Was pretty much everything we expected it to be. Kept us safe and dry for our night in Auckland, so thank you.

My only problem that I had, was I wish the room included a microwave. Was a bit noisy of an area, however I understand that can't be helped.

Staff, Location, restaurant and room excellent Recommend

After ringing and speaking with management I was advised that my bond was not paid back after check out due to refund limit being reached for the day. The thing that really annoyed me was no one had the courtesy to call me and explain the problem!!! I had to ring myself and the night receptionist left notes for the morning receptionist that I was checking out early!! But not even that was followed!!! Very poor

The staff were very helpful, friendly, cheerful and responsive to our requests. Especially late use of the spa after a long day of meetings.(just helps the day unwind before you hit the pillow) Much appreciated thank you all. Nick

All the c19 hoax signs. Yes we have had it but it was not as bad as normal flu. The govt is also untruthful as we (technically only) have not had it in N.Z. since 20 year end. The signs everywhere are just over the top. You only need them around reception and the carpark area and that would be more than enough. Please at least take them out of all your bedrooms. As far as masks are concerned, they do not work. In fact overseas where they have used only maybe 6 months longer than N.Z., people are becoming seriously ill, not only in their respiratory health, but also permanent brain fog. In most cases this has become very serious, so I fear for your staff at Mt. Richmond.

Loved the location, so close to Sylvia Park, Motorway & Otahuhu Town Centre + eateries. Person at reception was amazing, easy check in. Loved that they accepted Debit card which was great as majority of Hotels require a credit card to check in. Very clean. Lots of parking space available too. Would definitely return.

King size bed- mattresses kept moving apart, had to get off the bed and push the mattresses back together. Could be fixed with a cover with elastic support to keep them joint.

Great room, location and loved that the room was cleaned every day. The room size was large and could easily manage me, my hubby and 2 girls. The location was handy to Sylvia Park and to our family. Nothing compares to having fresh sheets and towels daily. The price was amazing for the length of stay so even though I have suggestions on improvement I still loved our stay and will return.

Wish there was a dining table of some sort to sit and eat at in the room. Also, we constantly had to ask for extra towels every night as they only gave us two for a family of 4. Parking was difficult at night especially because you couldn't go through the front door and our room was closest to the reception. The pool area and gym could do with a bit of a spruce up, as it looked quite tired. But still loved the spa.

Loved absolutely everything about it, room was super comfy & cosy, bathroom clean & well appointed but best of all, the staff made our stay outstanding, so friendly, always smiling & happy, the restaurant food & service was also top notch, especially on our last night we returned approx 7.30pm, worn out & hungry after the Saturday at the final weekend ever of the Pukekohe Supercars Supersprint Racing, they were catering a 21st birthday onsite but still served us as if it was no bother, would definitely stay again & would recommend 100%, love them sooo much

Nothing not to like

Everything was lovely, I felt like staff went the extra mile!

The air-conditioning unit did not seem to be blowing out hot air? I didn't spend too much time on it, I could have had an incorrect setting - user error! The top step to room 484 I think this is a little higher than the others, there is a sign to watch your step however we still tripped up the stairs a few times! I would also love to have conditioner in the bathroom. There were signs saying they were doing something about helping the environment in the bathroom but I would love for that poster to say what they were doing as it was very vague!

Staff in reception area were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. the erin was nice and clean.

the menu wasn’t correct according to what was available at the time - Toasted sandwiches were still on the menu but apparently they no longer make them. Can hear people walking through and talking in the hallways and doors slamming. however we were opposite the storage room and it was the area where staff engaged whilst cleaning rooms so not unexpected.
