Royal Park Lodge

First impression was very good as room is larger than normal; airy without any smell; there is deck chairs to sit at the back patio also. Attention to details included sponges for washing up cups and things making the stay effortless

All is very good... only complaint is the sofa bed.... it was confirmed in our booking 3 people would stay.. and the staff prepared the sofa bed with linen well... however; my daughter had insect bites to her legs and feet... It would appear that though we believe cleaning is thorough; the sofa bed was neglected in this case...

Room was spacious. Loved the air flow from windows, especially when door open as well. Be great in summer if not wanting a/c. Bathroom roomy as well. Thought it might be noisy as close to CBD and hospital, but actually very quiet at night.

Bed a little small, but only because I'm used to superking. Bathroom floor gets fully wet as no curtain or door or lip to stop the water.

The room was of a good quality and very clean and tidy with a great amount of room and bonus having a table and chairs with ranch slider to the outdoors with a descent size fridge and bench space. Very good room.

Clean room, spacious, good kitchen facilities. Excellent, prompt response to emails. Very friendly reception.

Instructions for Spa Bath would have been helpful. I had trouble turning it on (I think I should have put more water in to start). My bed smelt faintly of cigarette smoke.

Clean and comfortable accommodations, Staff was available on site and so kind to allow an earlier check in to suit our schedules, Linens were ample and at par with hotel standards, Prompt email communication reply

No designated parking on the premises so that was problematic if secured parking is required. After we have checked in and found a parking space outside our room, we can't go out for dinner coz we will lose our spot.

Room was nice and quiet and had everything I required

I didn't like the set up of the bathroom. When I took a shower I couldn't move the shower head and I was very careful walking out as I felt it would be very easy to slip over

this place was prefect for us as we were travelling for an event at Ellerslie Racecourse. the owners were absolutely awesome and very easily contactable, we left a key in our room and they contacted us within the day to arrange to get it back to us. it was a clean and comfortable room.

single bed wasn’t the most comfortable but overall was clean and exactly what we needed

This is budget accommodation, and the units are clean and (very pleasingly) spacious, and the housekeepers conscientious during a holiday weekend. Sky TV was a bonus. Location, within a quarter hour walk to family, was my main consideration, so all round very good.

Nothing to dislike.

Bathroom was fantastic, loved the shower

The towels were way too small, The TV was tiny and nothing to watch on, the Microwave was dated, the fridge was very noisy during the night and kept me up.

Great accommodation to stay at, price was very reasonable as we traveled from Taranaki with our Whanau. Everything was near that we needed to go too! Rooms were very comfortable and facilitated to our needs. Great stay ☺️
