Aircon was a hit, heated floor & toweling rack in bathroom, room was very spacious, location was good, close to all the amenities, friendly and helpful staff, appreciated the fridge/freezer.

Having to ask for a rubbish bin empty and requesting for clean towels, had to buy our own toilet paper, there's a TV but no access to channels, just Netflix & you tube, parking was hoha, climbing the stairs to get to our room, no info provided in the room about the Lodge services, the bathroom should have been swept.

It was very clean and we did not expect that there was extra room service. We were surprised and happy that our room was cleaned and we were provided new towels and toiletries. There was also Netflix and Wifi was strong. It was also not too noisy around the neighbourhood and parking was free and not by the main road which was safe enough. Security system is also modern and has camera’s on the hallway. Location was great at it was near the mall. It was also nice and warm and dont really need the heatpump most of the time. Shower was clean and spacious and water pressure was strong. Price was affordable and exceeded our expectation. Staff was also very kind and professional and was kind enough to wait before closing time. Check out time is also reasonable and we did not have to rush. So far the best motel we stayed at.

Nothing really but There was no kitchen sink but made sense as they do room service and they replaced our used dishes. If you need to clean something, the bathroom sink was also big enough.

The interior is really well presented, like newly renovated and very tasteful. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very nice also. It's walking distance to a shopping plaza with supermarket and eateries. The wireless internet was good in our room, near reception. Netfilx and Youtube were provided.

They didn't remove our rubbish on day 2. I had to take it to reception. They took the rubbish the following day but didn't replace the bag. Apparently a misunderstanding as they said my wife had stopped them doing a room service when what she had meant was the bedding does not need to be changed. As with some other hotels, there was no kitchen sink. We had to do our dishes in the bathroom. The hotel does not have it's own parking but there's free parking adjoining the building.

Large rooms, modern and definitely aiming for the 4-5 star rating. the kitchenette is new, as is the bathroom, and there is a large walk-in robe. huge bed, lots of space. The rooms are accessible too for the most part. Great location - close to shops. Don't be put off by the location. It's not as noisy as the area suggests, and you will definitely have a good night's sleep. If you are a foodie - you are spoilt for choice. Good spot for the business traveller.

There was nothing really wrong, even though the rooms are obviously in the middle of refurbishment. The ground floor is accessible which is great, but the bathroom is not (not a person problem for me but would be for someone with mobility issues). TV was connected to Netflix only. Could do with a bit of thought around the room layout, with so much space. There needs to be a privacy wall between the door and the bed - which will drown out the noise / light and also give better access - curtains are a bit cumbersome. Needs to have some door covering for rain. No parking, and GPS sends to wrong part of street (which is a dead end).

There are not many places in auckland where you get free parking, the room was clean, the staff friendly, and the bathroom is exceptional, hands down the best bathroom we have had while staying in auckland, great place to stay if you are using it as a base to explore

There is nothing that stands out that would have made our stay uncomfortable. If i were to be picky, the table top was loose, one of the chairs had a leg shorter than the others, there were only two towels for our family room booking for 4. The water pressure was good, but the shower head could be better.

Late check-in was smooth. The details were sent in a detailed email. Please do write to them and enquire about late check-ins. There is a procedure that needs to be done for late check-in upfront. The room has ample space and the sheets were fresh. The property was near to malls and has plenty of food options around. There is an Indian restaurant right next to the building.

Just be aware that the rooms are on the first floor and if you are carrying heavy luggage and on top of that doing a late check-in you are all by yourself.

We were greeted & treated by a lovely man in reception. He explained everything thoroughly. Very easy to deal with. The place itself is easily missed but inside is another world. The rooms were very spacious & ultra clean. Great size bathroom & toilet. We were so happy we were in luck to find this place because it definitely is value for $$. We’ve been back twice since our first booking. Also papatoe night markets run on Friday nights just opposite at Hunters Plaza. We’ll definitely be back again 🙂

spacious and clean. the tv had sky and Netflix which was awesome. comfortable room and good value for money. the bathroom/shower was also clean & spacious. It has a good location for the Papatoetoe area and local eateries depending on your preference it is predominately Indian cuisine around the vicinity. free carpark. clean and nice smelling foyer area which was pleasant when you walk in/up the stairs and into the area of which the rooms are located.

location can be hard to find especially as the area is quite busy with local businesses. there is a restaurant/supermarket next to it so depending if there’s an event the carpark can fill up. do note there is a bond that’s charged up front of $150. there are some hidden costs ie. reception/front desk is only open certain hours so if you need them after hours you will be charged & if you lock your room from the inside it can lock you outside and you may be charged extra if locked out after hours - this was explained to me at check-in but it made be anxious

We liked the friendliness of the staff. The room was lovely and met our needs We stayed one night , close to everything and would stay here again when in town.

A rubbish bin in the bathroom would be great. Probably the only thing was the $150 you have to pay upfront above and beyond the room rate when booking in. Yes it does get refunded but whether that's straight after you leave or 1-5 days later depends on your bank. So yep apart from an extra rubbish bin in the bathroom the bond was the only other thing.

Well looked after place, brand new facilities and great value for money. I guess they can't change the suburb, but we felt safe and secure inside! Relatively close to the airport and easy access to groceries and supermarkets around.

It was a little weird like other reviews said, the fact to be washing the dishes in the bathroom; I'd definitely suggest at least a kitchen cloth or a rack place to place clean dishes on. First time in NZ, a hotel requests a bond to be paid in advance; in general, they keep your card details in case anything has to be charged but do not charge in advance and then refund the money. In this case, you definitely need money available for them to take it.
