Sylvia Park Motel

The facilities, bathroom and beds were great. It was easy to ventilate during the day and close up and make cosy at night. Staff were lovely and our room was cleaned up and we arrived back to a tidy set up of my babies toys on a throw blanket. Very cute and caring surprise. Thankyou The garden area was great to wander around each morning. Close 15 to 29l0 minutes to most attractions.

Sliding door needs a stopper so it stops coming off the floor rail. Was frustrating to fix it each time. Need a small unit by bench for kettle so there is more bench space for those of us who cook. Could do with a swing set up the back.

The room was clean and tidy, it looked like it had been modernised. I was pleased that a full sky package was available, movies and sports. The bed was comfortable. The price was reasonably priced and the service from the office was excellent, he helped us a couple of times. It was nice to have a kitchenette where you could make meals. The car even had a carport area to park in. It was also very close to Sylvia Park Mall.

It didn't have unlimited wifi. Getting to Sylvia Park by car would have quicker by foot almost. The motel is directly on the main road, 2 lanes each way and in peak hour the traffic is crazy, but that isn't the motels fault.

The location was great, only a 15 minute walk to Sylvia park, few shops like petrol station, dairy’s and takeaways were a 5 minute walk. I loved how spacious the room was, the lighting and the bathroom was really nice. It was handy having the extra facilities like hair dryer, kitchen appliances (cutlery, toaster microwave pots and pans etc) and the washing machine which included detergent. There’s also a big grass area out the back that is fenced off which would be great for kids.

The dining room space was small and felt squished but wasn’t a problem at all.

Booked my family into Sylvia Park Motel because it was a great location (across the road from where we live) and they love how close all the shops were for them to walk. Had 2 couples in the family apartment and another in a studio. Everyone was pleased with how it all planned out. Loved the help from the office staff who made the experience easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend.

The only complaint from my siblings was about the coffee on offer which is not really a motel complaint the services provided were great.

Excellent place, very clean, spacious rooms, huge lounge dining area, big bathroom, kitchen facilities and large size fridge, best is parking your car in front or on the side of your room, CCTV cameras monitoring the place, Manager Tommy was very helpful in every sense, from a warm welcome to responding all we needed

Entering the hotel from the busy road doing a right turn is difficult, we did make a U turn from nearest lights and made left turns in.

Clean affordable motel for the night, super handy to have use of the laundry facilities. The main road is tricky to get into and really annoying if you miss the turn off and have to go all the way round the block (through traffic lights again etc). Close to supermarket and other shops including the huge Sylvia Park mall. Everything we needed. No frills, but perfectly clean, comfortable, and we were able to prepare our own meals to help with dietary requirements.

The location to the Mall , shops and food outlets was good. A nice wee walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The layout of the unit was good.

These are suggestions NOT complaints- Another couple of pillows for the bed for those who like more support. A fan for the bedroom for the hot nights as opening a window with traffic noise Isn't always possible. A different type of lock on the toilet door as the one in unit 8 was confusing and most Of us struggled at first attempt.

Beds were super comfy, was really clean with everything we needed. Has sky and wifi, a fridge and freezer stove top to cook with all cooking utensils. Has aircon, a free washing machine. The most loveliest staff. We stayed 5 nights (1adult+3kids) felt very welcom. 2 minute drive from Sylvia Park Shopping centre. Will definitely stay there again.

We got stuck during Cyclone Gabrielle, and the Sylvia Park Motel management cleaned our room early, so that we could check in early. They had Sky TV so we could also watch the Super Bowl.

I have NO COMPLAINTS about this motel. It was close enough to the city center that an inexpensive Uber ride could get me where I wanted to go. I loved the kitchenette, and this was the cleanest motel or motel I have ever stayed in, either in the Auckland city center or the suburbs.
