Cerviola Hotel

Perfect location. Close to bus stops and local shops. Short walk to the coast and restaurants. Daily cooked British breakfast included as well as Maltese bread and the traditional Maltese pastizzi. Loved the coffee machine in the room and on request a kettle was also provided. Majority of staff at reception and restaurant were courteous and friendly. Rooftop restaurant kindly provided a vegetarian meal so we could attend a Mother's Day lunch.

Sometimes floor in reception area was washed in the morning when guests were walking in and out creating a slipping hazard. On a couple of occasions coffee and juice machines in restaurants were not working but no 'out of order ' notice placed on them so guests were often seen trying to use them. Need to include vegetarian options in their restaurant menu.

Hotel location was great for me. Marsaskala is local small beautiful city by the sea. Not to many tourists. Price level is good compared to valletta tourist areas. City offers great restaurants for dinner and tavernas for coffee and pastries during day. Also nearby scenery offers good hiking / exploring opportunities by the seaside. Highly recommend to explore Il-Ponta tal-Miguna by the sea. Nearby fishing village marsaxlokk is very much worth visiting also. Public transportation is good and frequent and covers almost the whole island. If you come with your own car there is free hotel parking but there is also plenty of parking space around. Also around hotel there`s small shops where you can buy water, beer, wine, snacks etc...Hotel breakfast was good, no complaints there. Daily cleaning and friendly staff.

Toilet exhaust fan was end of its life. It made lots of noise when lights were on :) Balcony door lock didn`t work. Nothing serious.

The hotel was very clean throughout, comfortable bed, & new towels daily, we had a balcony and superior double, the road at the front was pretty quiet. The room was compact but we thought it large enough for bffrsdfhhtwo people for the week. it had a nice coffee machine & fridge. I asked for a kettle which was immediately provided. All staff we came across were helpful & any request was dealt with immediately. Breakfast was great, a massive selection, both full english & continental, with fresh fruit, cakes, bread & coffee machines. It was a 5-10 mins walk to the centre of Marsaskala and there was a passage way at the side of the hotel which led to the promenade. When we checked out, the hotel was starting to freshen up all of the rooms on our floor & the roof terrace ready for the new season

Great hotel, our go to place when in Malta. The Hotel is spotlessly clean, the room was cleaned daily. Bonus of a Dolce Gusto coffee machine in our room and free bottled water every day. The cooked breakfast is amazing - the best we have had in our 15 years of travelling. Bus stops right outside and lots of bars and restaurants are a pleasant stroll away. We will be back soon!!

It was a lovely hotel. The staff are extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The breakfast was magnificent.

No complaints - everything was fine

The very friendly and helpful management and staff, always ready to assist. Up-to-date facilities in the room - nicely furnished, comfortable bed, very clean and well serviced room and 24 hour reception service and bar. Excellent selection of food and hot and cold drinks for breakfast. Excellent facilities on the rooftop level including a swimming pool, sun deck, a very well stocked bar and a very good and reasonably priced restaurant with very efficient level of service. The hotel is also located in a very quiet area with only a few meters to a bus stop and a very good bus service. In our opinion the Cerviola is a 3 star hotel that punches well above its weight.

We find it hard to find anything we did not like.

We stay here every year when we come over to visit my BF. You always receive a warm welcome and the staff can not do enough for you. This is a small family run hotel which has improved year after year. It is also kept exceptionally clean. Breakfast is included in the price and this is a help yourself buffet style which includes full English, continental, pastries, cereals and fruit plus more with as much tea, coffee and juices that you can drink. It has a bar next to the reception area which serves drinks whenever you want them and they are very reasonable priced. There is also a roof top bar which serves food up until 10pm but this has been outsourced and is run by a father and son. Sunbeds and a swimming pool can also be found on the rooftop.

There is nothing that I don't like about the hotel except that because the rooftop is run by outside contractors day guest from outside of the hotel can pay to use the facilities so on weekends and non school days there are hardly any sunbeds left as towels have been placed over them to reserve even by 10am in the morning when it opens and then no-one shows up until lunchtime. I do understand that this happens all over but it can become quite annoying when the people that come in then all congregate together and leave their children to take over all the pool area with no consideration for anyone else wanting to use it to cool off too.

Very well placed, excellent helpful staff, very good value for money. Good breakfast as others have said. a gold star for cleanliness. Interestingly the 'information booklet' was the most comprehensive we have seen, better than many 5 star hotels we have used

Bed was very uncomfortable squeaking each time you sat on it or moved rest of the room was good. Please note a replacement ceiling bulb might be required. Existing one presently flickering. Noisy bathroom door - some WD 40 perhaps would ease this minor problem otherwise thank you for a wonderful stay.

Room met our expectations and had a reasonable balcony for us to sit on. Breakfast was good but basic choices of cooked, cereal, a few meats and pastries. Tea, coffee and juice available. Cooked food was hot and well presented. The hotel met our needs as we wanted bed and breakfast accommodation. We had stayed there before and were aware of the location within Marsascala. Rooms were good and had balconies, some on the small side, others bigger. Views were of the street or overlooking properties but for us this was not a priority. Hotel was clean and any issues were dealt with quickly. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.

For us, it met our expectations. Some of the balconies could have been bigger as they were a little snug to sit 2 people on with a table. Having said that, we had enough space to sit out and have a drink.

We LOVED the breakfast OMG! The location is amazing and the rooftop bar and pool add some sophistication to the package. The staff was helpful,the food was great and so were the drinks. And they have an ATM right inside -very convenient. They let us hire a third party party planner to decorate our room for a surprise birthday..... Just AMAZING 😍😍

The hotel didn't have body lotion or toothpaste and toothbrushes. We had to go and buy outside the establishment.
