Sliema Hotel by ST Hotels

Perfect location, near ferry, sightseeing and local buses and boats, shopping streets and bars. View from balcony to the bay and Valletta is amazing, we also enjoyed fireworks every evening. Breakfast is same every morning, but enough options to choose from. Pool is great and free, in Aqualuna building (5min walking). Friendly personnel.

Safety deposit box was broken. Didn't get any additional instant coffee and tea bags (costs 0,20 EUR at shop, no problems to buy, but bit annoying) or liquid soap in shower. In the family room was only one EU standard electricity plug, no adapters, we have to buy it (2 EUR, not a problem, but bit annoying :))

At arival at Sliema Hotel we were disapointed by facilities... They were not at all what was shown on booking. But staff was super welcoming and they offered to put us at sister hotel BAYVIEW by St Hotels - so this review is for it. BAYVIEW facility are great. Nice room with great bathroom and clean. Have awesome pool and little spa area, and breakfast spread was really good. Staff was great and friendly. On a good location, no parking, but there is public parking for 3 euro a day close - few minutes by foot. All in all - would recomend.👍 We gave it a 8 because we had to transfer.

At BAYVIEW we liked everything... and would 10/10 recomend. At SLIEMA hotel for us cleanliness was a problem. And photos are not accurate on booking for the Sliema hotel.

We were happy with our stay, everything was ok. The breakfast was good, and our room was cleaned every day, which was great. Very good location, close to the ferries and bus stops. Kind staff at the reception and at the breakfast hall. We had a room facing the inner yard, which was a good choice because it was very quiet.

The bathroom is a bit older, with a few broken details but functional. If you are staying in winter, ask the staff how to turn the AC on heating. It gets cold.

I did like the breakfast, the coffee, boiler, fridge inside the room, plenty of space in the room and access on the pool of the hotel next door.

I didn’t like the fact that the walls were paper thin and you could hear everything. Furniture very heavy and loud, all day and night we could hear furniture moving. I didn’t like the shower head, needed fixing so there was no pressure. Also the cleaners were coming in the evening to clean not to mention that they were not knocking just barged into the room, I mean what if we were not decent?

Silema Hotel was a hotel, a place to stay that fully met our expectations. At least 3.5 to 4 stars from us. Spacious, spotlessly clean room, with all the amenities of a hotel of such range. From the beds to the bathroom and the basic cleaning principles of such spaces, everything was simply unique. The breakfast offered for the price is satisfying, the buffet has a huge range of products of excellent quality, in short it is what we call value for money. The hotel's air conditioning or fantastic swimming pool, the lift it had and the nappy of all its smiling and happy staff completed the puzzle of this wonderful place beautifully. A hotel in the heart of the city, a big city that comes alive morning and night. What a beautiful pulse! What nice people! Bars, music, street food, amazing restaurants and cafes, traditional bakeries, local cuisines, huge buildings, luxury hotels, public transport, great marina, buses and ferries just minutes away. This city impresses you from the first sight. A tourist resort with all the amenities a short drive from Valletta, the capital of Malta. This is Sliema. And if you add the colorful palette of its architecture between the old-traditional (invisible side of the city) and the new (modern side of the city), you can't help but fall in love with it. Great location, easy to travel from hotel to Valletta and other islands. Tour boats and ferry are within a few minutes walking. Plenty of restaurants and bars to the left or right of the hotel.

Great location, boat tours and bus stops are very close. The view is fantastic from the room, I loved to stay in the balcony. The staff was very kind and helpful.

I had extremly terrible neighbours on my floor so I couldn't sleep anything, but after my complain the helpful staff organized a room on another floor for me, what solved the problem.

I really liked that it was near the bus stations - You can get from that point to almost anywhere in Malta. It's a very animated zone. The breakfast was very good for us (2 adults and 2 children). The room was very spacious with a nice view. Although the area is very noisy, we rested very well (due to the fatigue accumulated during the day), the beds are very large and comfortable.

The room could be better cleaned before we arrived. It had a bad smell that lasted all the days we stayed. When we arrived there were no towels in the room, I requested them from a cleaning employee and he could only give me one saying that he would bring the rest to me in an hour, as they are fully booked - I received them a little later. The area where the hotel is located is very animated, as I said in the positive things. But being a family room, it is a bit disturbing when you want to rest together with the children. We stayed in February... I don't even want to think about how noisy it is during the summer season.

The location is amazing. Its so close to Valetta there is no point in a hotel there. The hotel was right next to several bus stops that can take you to Valetta to change routes or you could get the Shute ferry across. The bus tickets last 2 hours so you can keep transferring buses within that time. The breakfast was good, clean restaurant. Staff were very polite and helpful. The room was nice and big with lots of space. Staff were willing to cater for any needs. When I asked for an extra blanket they provided.

The bathroom ceiling that's directly above the bath was really low. The room gets serviced quite late in the afternoon and only if you put the sign on the door. The elevator could be heard working through the walls as well as the doors closing.

Hotel exceeded our expectations!! We were a bit worried when reading all the reviews, but our experience was more than good. Room looked fine, bathroom was a bit older but did alright. Staff was very polite and welcoming, breakfast offer was big and good enough. Great value for the paid price, as students we were very satisfied.

As some reviews mentioned, the room door does not isolate sound very well, might be a problem for a light sleeper. After the first person took shower, the second one could end up with cold water, waiting for a while for the water to boil would probably be a solution, it isn't very comfortable though. There was also a hole between matresses which also caused a bit of discomfort.
