Best Western Knoxville Suites - Downtown

Again, Best Western rescued me. I was forced, (for one reason or another) to return to North Knoxville having left a few days previous. This hotel welcomed me back without a quibble. I was pleased to be back, as the staff are brilliant. The room was basically the same size and layout as first time. I did discover the laundry room this time. You have to ask for the door key and the room is on the outside on a corner. Train noise on the back of the hotel is less and less disturbing when they sound the horns than the front. Overall, a splendid place where you get a decent night. It does get busy at weekends, so book your dates as soon as you think of them.

The fridges dont seem to have a thermostat, so things tend to freeze regardless of which part of the fridge you put them in. I love things ice cold, so a few minutes outside solves the problem. A minor, picky thing. Not a complaint, but a word of caution: the 3pm check-in time can be a bit of a zoo with everyone arriving at once. The staff work like demons to get everybody sorted, so have a little patience.

The location is ok, surrounded by other hotels and set back enough from the road that the usually light traffic is not an issue. Many places to eat within walking distance and a supermarket next door. I recommend the Applebees as the staff are fabulous. Breakfast is adequate. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are worth having a go in. The pool is limited to 5 feet. The room is spacious, with fridge and microwave. Glory be for us Brits, a good size tub to soak in. So good, I'm returning to it a few days later after a mare elsewhere in Tennessee.

My only quibble, and its so small but needs saying, I didnt notice any USB ports i the room for charging, so bring your full kit to plug in. Oh, that and beware, the train tracks are nearby and they sound the horns loudly through the night sometimes.

Hotel is in an excellent location - close to highways and downtown plus walking distance to several restaurants. Rooms and lobbies impeccably clean.

Pool needs to be warmer and spa fixed. Additionally, would be nice to have at least a bench or table and chairs outside.

It was easy to find from the highway. There were plenty of eating places, we enjoyed Chico’s and went for both nights, the staff at the suites were very pleasant.

There wasn’t anything not to like, apart from the plastic breakfast, we are trying to save the planet, there was too much throwaway stuff no washing up

The temp of our room was very uncomfortable, the outside weather was hot, humid but the room took awhile to cool down, then also the hallway temp was uncomfortable warm, the pillows were way too small

Breakfast was Great. Biscuits & Gravy with potatoes, Juice & coffee. I asked for lower room if possible because we had a puppy that needed to go OUT quickly. They had one waiting with King Bed. Even better than I had hoped for.

The common areas of the building were clean and looked fresh. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were plump. The morning desk clerk was friendly. The night clerk not so much.

The grounds were okay-the parking lots and surrounding areas could have been cleaner, but that’s the guests’ fault for leaving trash.

we had the farthest room on the fourth floor with our small dog we had to take out for potty walks. Also, the bed was one of those tall ones and I am only 5 feet tall. Very difficult to get into. A step would be nice

Outside looks like small hotel but our room was large. We had room to move around. Likes the space.

The Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. It was right next door to a grocery store. Everything we were doing in the city was less than 15 minutes away. We will be staying with you all again
