The staff was truly fantastic. Best customer service I've experienced at a hotel in a long, long time. When an issue arose with my original room, they immediately transferred me. The shuttle was excellent and had drivers available when I needed to travel, everything I needed, the staff did their best to accommodate. The staff at the restaurant was great, the breakfast was generous if expensive compared to others in town.
The first room I was offered was extremely small with a disconcerting layout that involved a divider that made it feel very cramped. It didn't feel like a hotel room of this caliber. The second room was beautiful. Though ample, the food itself was just ok.

Everything! This is a very nice hotel. The staff members are outstanding. Our room was perfect: big, nicely appointed furniture including a couch. The bed was heavenly. Very good sheets and a comfy mattress. After two weeks on the road this was a fabulous break from the mundanity of other hotels.

The hotel was very clean and quite. The rooms were nicely decked but small. The bed was very comfortable.
The thermostat in the room had an option for the fan to be run continuously but neither I nor the hotel staff could make it function properly. Therefore we got to hear the rather loud air circulating fan turn on and off all night long. Hopefully this thermostat will be replaced very soon.

The hotel was walking distance to the finish line for the Dam to DSM race, which brought us to town. The room had a refrigerator, which was helpful and we appreciated the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower.
The bed was too lumpy and soft to be able to get quality sleep. Parking was in a parking ramp for $10 a day. This hotel location did not have a pool/hot tub or free breakfast.

Breakfast at the restaurant was exceptional. Room was very nice and spacious. King bed was wonderful and they provide you with lots of pillows . Bathrooms were recently remodeled and the whole place was top notch. Close to dining, bars, nightlife. Young man at check-in had our room card ready literally 45 sec after walking up to the desk. I've never had a check in so quick and efficient. I forget his name (Riley/Ryan?) but he was exceptional. Made a few recommendations for dining and things to do while we were in Des Moines.

Loved the Decor. And the staff! Convenience of being on the skywalk!
Due to the weather, the main doors were not operational and the door we were to come in was not well marked. Staff came right away to let us in when I called! We had a suite but the living area was cold and nothing I did seemed to work to warm it up. There wasn't an extra blanket to help either. Softer chairs would have been nice .

Very nice hotel, friendly staff that was willing to go the extra mile to accommodate our needs. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.
Might seem small to some, but having no microwave was a big downside for our family. We always plan to reheat leftovers from eating out on vacations and were really annoyed that we had to just throw the food away.

The staff was terrific especially front desk and shuttle driver(Bobby). Very helpful and friendly. Willing to do whatever you needed. Location was great.
The size of our room was like a sardine can. It was a double double. No refrigerator that I had requested. No microwave. Bathroom very tiny. Could only get one person in it at a time. Would have preferred a view out of the window, not heating units, etc.

Everything about this place is great: friendly staff, great location (only a couple blocks away from the capitol building, lots of restaurants nearby and a public garage right across the street), VERY clean (I’d frequently see someone’s cleaning high-touch surfaces like the elevator buttons, the reception, etc), gorgeous lobby, modern decor... I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.
It’s a bit on the pricey side but you definitely get what you pay for. I really think it’s worth it.
