we always love coming here. it’s convenient and close to boardwalk.

we found roaches near the fridge area.

Great location- didn't have to drive to boardwalk/beach and a very nice 10 minute walk. The couple who run this place are delightful and efficient. Room was exceptionally clean and parts of it were upgraded with apparent components of the room that were still being worked on, ie molding in the bathroom and fridge that needed new door face. We will definitely stay here again as it was quiet and we got great sleep!

The room was presentable upon arriving. There was a smell to the room, but I randomly had air freshener in my car that helped mask the smell. Otherwise, the room was great! We loved sitting on the balcony and relaxing. Loved the location to the boardwalk (about a mile or so), so we were able to walk there and back. Very friendly staff!

There was a off smell in the room.

Room was nice. Clean and comfortable. Decent views from balcony. Slept really well over all until morning traffic began, that was ok because I wanted to be up enjoying road trip.

Morning traffic was noisy though I left the sliding door open a bit. I was on third floor with nothing near the balcony so felt safe doing so. Might not have noticed if I had used air conditioning with sliding door closed.

The property is in a very good location, and you could theoretically walk to the boardwalk and everywhere in the beach area of Santa Cruz. The view that the listing hyped up was ok, just not what I had expected. Overall, a nice stay with covered parking, but I’m on the fence about the price being worth it.

The carpet seemed to be a little damp and my socks turned black by the end of the night. The view that was hyped up was ok, but it was not as nice as I would have hoped, especially since street noise was very easily channeled in. The only other downside to enjoying the view, was that the glass sliding door was very transparent and outside traffic could easily see into the room.

It was a great room a great great location spacious rooms plugs for our USB cords, beds comfortable TV was very large very new dressers for our clothing just a great stay, thank you Ocean Gate Inn

I truly appreciated the room and enjoyed everything about it I thought we were going to get the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk view but we ended up in a room in the back so next time for anybody that goes ask where your room is going to be located and my hair dryer was not working

The room was big. Price was right.

Bathroom was small. Not a deal breaker through. Our view was the lot and people working in a neighbors room. Not magical but close to the boardwalk

The parking is covered, the rooms are easy to access and the location is very close to the beach. The view was fantastic! The boardwalk is within walking distance, but it's a quick drive too.

There was no continental breakfast served, although this is a small facility and there doesn't seem to be any space for it.

Location was fantastic! Only a few minutes walk to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Location is on a busy street, but was not noticeable unless the windows were left open. Highly recommend!

The location was great! The flexible check-in time was super helpful. The water pressure in the showers were fantastic.

The parking situation was a little strange, but manageable! There was a very small trash can I’m our room so we weren’t able to keep the room as tidy as I would’ve liked. The room definitely smelled the slightest of cigarette smoke but nothing that wasn’t manageable.
