The staff was very kind and welcoming. The front desk attendant who helped us check in had a very friendly demeanor. He also gave us a small goody bag of snacks, which was appreciated. The room itself was a little bit quirky with a separate kitchenette. While we didn’t do any cooking during our stay, it was a nice amenity.

The bathroom door was warped due to water damage and once it was closed you would have to pry extremely hard in order to get it back open. The bathroom door for 114 should be replaced. The wifi also wasn’t the best, and we frequently just used cellular data since it was faster.

As a solo female traveler I felt safe and comfortable. I slept well. The person at check in was very friendly. The cleaning person (wish I caught her name!) was very friendly. The place is very spacious, the kitchen stove worked really well. Lots of storage area-plenty of room for my surfboards inside. The geraniums in front of the adorable balcony are a nice touch. Thanks for a good stay!

Cleanliness was not completely up to par. Sticky inside dresser drawers. Walking barefoot on the floor I got a lot of dirt on my feet. Paint in the bathroom is peeling. Bathroom door is rotting from moisture room 114.

The room had a lot of character and I enjoyed my stay. It had everything I needed, including a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. It was clean. The proprietor (Danny) is very welcoming and friendly, and I would go back and stay here again. Laundry machines worked so I ran some when I was there. Also, within general walking distance of some cool spots (walking distance = 20-30 minutes).

The pool is filled up and has become a party/picnic area for grilling. I would not have been swimming anyway so it was not a problem for me. Heck, you're close to the beach.

The property is older, but it is freshly painted, comfortably furnished and immaculate. We had a big kitchenette with a stove/oven, microwave, coffeemaker, etc. The kitchen was in an adjoining room and had a table by a window for eating or setting up to use like a desk, so I could work while my husband slept or watched TV. The family that runs the place is very nice. The motel is off a busy road, so If you are looking for picturesque, this is not the place. But we weren't lounging around at the motel much, so it was a great value & I'd stay there again.

Secret gem!! We will be back! We loved everything about the room and the property in general. There are fresh flowers planted on every patio and chairs to sit on each porch. Paint was fresh everywhere in the room and overall, it generally showed that the owners had paid attention to every detail of the hotel.

Kitchy, the Manager new my name when I arrived. The room felt like home, only cleaner! Quiet at night, and well located to cycle around Santa Cruz. I think I found my new favourite place...

Absolutely nothing. Ok, maybe there could have been cookware in the kitchen. Biut, I'm self actualized, no problem

Kitchen was surprisingly spacious - basically 2x the size of a normal hotel room. It included a nice dining room table, which I found very useful for work.

I was surprised that the kitchen didn't include ANYTHING - like not even a sponge or paper towels or dish soap or a plastic fork. I was warned ahead of time to bring my own pots and pans, but I didn't expect it to be that spartan. Desk in the main room was very small.

The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. It was a short drive away from everything we wanted to do in Santa Cruz.

The area around the hotel is not very quiet so there was a far amount of noise, but this isn’t the hotels fault. Also the bed and pillows were not very comfortable.

the room was very spacious and had great beds we slept very well and my family was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was for the price we paid. the sitting room and kitchen were a huge bonus for our double quween bed room.

The towels were a bit dirty we found hair stuck to multiple towels in both of our rooms. not the best thing to see after a pandemic and traveling with young children but we had some other options to clean up.

I've stayed at this property several times and always look forward to my time here! The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. WiFi works great. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Lots of stuff within walking distance, like a nature trail, grocery store, drug store, etc. Highly recommend!
