Parking to room is close! Hotel is centrally located.

i returned to the hotel past 11pm, and there was no more parking on the lot, had to park on the street.

good location with easy walking access to a few things to do. relatively quiet.

"front desk" only open a handful of hours a day

Great clean room comfortable bed. The pool was open even with the cold weather. Very close to the beach. Easy walk to the Santa Cruz wharf. Also close to some restaurants and bars that are open late if you're looking fort night life.

Didn't see a staff member once while staying there. The office was only open from 2-7 PM so if anything had gone wrong we would have had no help. I wish there had been a staff member available. Showers were small.

The service was excellent. The beds were amazing. The toiletries and towels were great. It was perfectly clean. Everything worked perfectly (ac, lights, fridge, tv, shower, door lock). And the location was amazing! We could walk to the beach, the pier, the SC Boardwalk, AND to downtown! And there were so many restaurants of every kind within walking distance!

The only thing that could have been better was the parking. The lot is small, so you have to park on the street sometimes. And on summer weekends the traffic around it can be crazy. But you're so close to everything, you can just walk.

They gave us a discount because they messed up our reservation. The staff was very courteous!

I booked 2 rooms and one of the rooms was not ready at check-in time. When I came back later, i was told there was NO rooms..!! But then reception was able to get one but it was all the way in the corner and they completely.forgot coffee. Also a couple of bottles of water would have been GREAT! And a phone IN the room. Also, the phone number never works!!!

We have stayed here before and love the location. The room has fridge, microwave, hair dryer and nice amenities, plus a very comfortable bed. It's quiet, and there's free parking. We paid the off-season rate ($64 plus taxes etc), not sure we'd be quite as excited during the summer rates.

Upstairs outdoor carpet could use a re-do.

A great location only a few minute walk from the beach. Not to mention close by is a corner store selling Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Close enough for a good breakfast and bring it back to you room if you want to as well.

The floors could have been washed, I prefer to walk bare footed, so after only a few minutes of walking around my feet were all black. Maybe having a mat at the entrance, and the floors being cleaned would be awesome! Another thing, the Coffee machine wouldn't work when I tried to activate it. I put in the coffee, poured in water and pressed the button to brew but, nothing happened. Maybe put instructions?

I arrived late & about had a heart attack that the lobby was closed! Well I got a text from them with instructions on how to find my room key in the lock box. HUGE relief! Super comfy bed. Second time staying here.

A couple towels didn't really seem clean as they had dirt stains. Maybe didn't come out in the wash?

The staff is always awesome. The hotel employees are so pleasant to deal with, very kind, understanding, and always greet us with a smile! Santa Cruz hotels have a bad reputation of being rude to their occupants, but Bay Front Inn is the opposite. Thank you so much for appreciating your customers. We appreciate your business values 👍

Could use some dusting behind the refrigerator and TV but besides that no complaints. I can handle a little dust in exchange for the awesome customer service!

Our room had a fireplace in it. It was so delightful that we opted to eat our dinners at “home,” at the nice little table adjacent to the fireplace. Felt very cozy. Also, we were within easy walking distance of the beautiful walk along the coast only a few blocks away. I highly recommend the place! Also, the breakfast selection had more options than the usual continental breakfast.
