The staff all around are wonderful! There is a fantastic mix of luxury and quirky at this hotel. We love the pool and jacuzzi. Front desk, maintenance and housekeeping staff just top notch. The Moonraker restaurant, Breakers for breakfast and lunch and other great dining options are only a few steps. The refrigerator in room was perfect for our snacks and beverages in between restaurant service. The location is so terrific a snack in room was great with the balcony door open, sea wind and waves crashing. We watched flocks of pelicans, whales, seals, surfers, fog, clouds, sunshine alters throughout the day, easy hike up the hill and over to Pacifica, lovely garden walk. If one wants lots of excursions these are minutes to engage. The real show is Rockaway beach, surf, beauty and peace.

This one is tricky as the rules are very clear, posted and fair, it is simply certain patrons that don't follow the rules that create a challenge but did not and underline did not alter a spectacular stay. It takes all kinds and the majority of travelers staying are as thrilled as we to have the privilege of vacationing in such a beautiful place.

beautiful view, comfortable bed. Hotel was full but was mostly quiet. good parking options. Swimming pool was lovely. cleaning staff were lovely and helpful.

Wifi drops constantly, not great for streaming or work. Towels were small. there was a rumbling noise that shook the table in our room when the room next had bathroom fan on. Could not find toilets near the pool area. Hot tub was out of order. And there was person sanding down railings around the pool when we were there.

We liked the location near the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable! And the price very reasonable! Bryn at the reception was welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a partial view of the Pacific! Handy narrow balcony! The Rockaway Beach location is ideal for walking/hiking up the paved trail to the top of the hill to view or walk to LindaMar Beach. The small Rockaway Beach is perfect for those who don’t like crowds! The Breakers cafe next door is perfect for breakfast/brunch.

Having read a couple of negative reviews about the rooms, we had braced ourselves for the worst. But our Room 353 was fine! However, it would have been more convenient with USB ports for charging phones, a fridge and microwave, and a quick water pot for 2, not just one. Also our part of the hotel was set back from a part of the complex that is closer to the beach. In between the rooftops was a large fan (machine) below that ran 24/7 drowning out the sounds of the waves. Nonetheless we enjoyed our one night stay! Would return!

Excellent service and staff. Location was perfect. Good secured parking. All in all good value for money.

It was mention in the room that if you dont require the room service just put the "Do not Disturb sign" however on the reception it was mentioned that if you require the maid service specifically put the sign on the room otherwise service will not be provided.. These two conflicting messages cause me without a room service on a single day. The rest was all good.

The hotel room was clean and somewhat spacious. The location is convenient and near eating places, especially a little mall about 3 minutes from the hotel. There is ample free parking. The night front desk staff person was helpful with information.

Even with the wi-fi, we weren't really getting reception. Also, the hotel was a bit hard to find because it's not clearly labelled (I believe the sign may be broken?). Once we found the hotel, we then wandered around trying to find the lobby because we entered the parking lot from a different entrance.

We love that it was right next to the ocean and we were able to wake up to the view of the sea and even get to enjoy the sunset! It was also convenient that they had a nice restaurant where you didn’t need to leave the hotel building. Perfect for our girls trip.

There was no microwave in the room. (May have been mentioned in the description so not the property’s fault) The bed sheets felt a little damp but it could be because of the mist from being right next to the ocean. Other than that, it was perfect!

The staff is exceptionally personable, genuine and industrious. They are extremely helpful and pleasant with every aspect of the stay. Swim in the pool and relax in the jacuzzi, too! This location is phenomenal, Moonraker restaurant fantastic food - try the salmon wheel - Breakers restaurant, sweets shop and button boutique shop wonderful, Nick's has great music in the bar and all shops and restaurants were happy for the custom with warm welcome. Everything is right there.

The room was clean, beds are comfortable; the ocean view on the top floor was great; the location was away from the busy traffic, yet not too far to get to. Lots of parking spots for the guests. The doors connecting the garage to the hotel is locked, room key is needed for entrance, it is a safety measure, thank you.

There were 4 bath towels for 4 of us, but only 2 face towels (need 2 more), 2 hand towels (need 2 more), and 3 coffee packets (need 1 more) were provided.

Location location location. One of the few properties on the coast that close to the ocean. I had an ocean view room and a great dinner at the Moonraker with the ocean views. Great hiking and biking trails immediately next door.very good food at the local restaurants. The property does show its age and the abuse taken from being that close to the ocean but the staff and the people in the area were extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying there.

You are right on the ocean. The wave sound was spectacular. The bed and pillows comfortable. Close to the freeway. Would stay again.

The outside leaves a bit to be desired. The rooms could use an update.
