Location is amazing in Norma Triangle, lots of local buses to get to places like Beverly Centre in 20 mins. 15 min walk to Santa Monica boulevard where there is grocery stores etc. Staff were accommodating and fixed all issues which arose. 40 min taxi from LAX.

Room was as pictured but facilities expected were not there. Had to ask at reception for the coffee machine and microwave which were supposed to already been in my room, However they were very reactive and fixed the problem right away. Because hotel is near the Hills, there is little to no cell service, and the Wi-Fi in the hotel isn't great.

It's been well over a decade since I stayed at the Montrose, and I was pleased to find out that, while renovated, the rooms are still spacious, comfortable, and a great value considering the prices of lesser hotels in the area. Is it a hot and trendy place with a happening bar and "scene?" Not really. But if your looking for a room where you don't have to shimmy along the side of the bed to get to the closet or bathroom, the Montrose might be more to your liking.

I would have given my stay a 10, except that I read reviews that others had billing discrepancies after their stay. Knowing this, I made it a point to check my itemized bill and found that I was charged for valet parking every day of my stay. I had a friend visit me, so I was expecting at least a single parking fee, but not five. I pointed it out and the error was immediately fixed, no muss, no fuss. Now do I think they were trying to pull one over on me? I don't think so. But I think this highlights a bigger issue they may have with their computer systems and how the staff input information. At least, that's my hope. I plan on staying there again, we'll see if the same issues arise.

The location, friendliness of staff, facilities, free wine happy hour, room size. It is a perfect location for exploring LA and visiting Universal Studio's which was the purpose of our stay. It was our first time in LA so we didn't know if you can walk to attractions, Rodeo Drive, Sunset etc are walkable but you need sensible shoes.

Common theme in LA that parking is chargeable, the bathrooms could have been a little bigger based on the room size. I also think the check in area could be slightly more glam and doesn't meet the overall look and feel of the rest of the hotel.

The rooftop pool and gym was great. The location was exactly where I needed it to be for fairly easy and quick access to all things touristy. And I liked that they had washing machines and dryers for guest to use downstairs as I hate paying a ridiculous amount of money at hotels/resorts to have my clothes cleaned. Front desk was very helpful and the men on the front doors were very efficient and talkative which makes you feel more welcome when you arrive back from your day out.

The doors on the rooms slam extremely loud when people don’t close them behind themselves. I got woken up quite a few times thru out the night which I found super annoying and was starting to make me a tad angry. Not sure how they fix that but I would look into it for sure.

We were in the area for surgery, and they upgraded us to a 1 bedroom suite on a quiet floor. All of the staff we came in contact with were very kind and helpful. The hotel is in an extremely quiet neighborhood but just blocks from Cedars Sinai, restaurants and grocery's. We had a long stay there and they really were so accommodating and nice. One of our TV's froze on day 2 and someone came straight up and fixed it within 10 minutes.

Have to say I almost laughed out loud when I ordered an Americano and it was $13. I couldn't believe it. They do have a large carafe of drip coffee in the lobby cafe until 10 am and it's very good. The hotel does not have ice machines so I needed to call down to the kitchen and have someone bring us up some daily. What I didn't know until checking out was that I was charged $4 every time for that. The first day we were there we had lunch ordered to the room, 1 Cesar salad and Street tacos, 2 diet cokes. It was $90 with tip and delivery fee. Wowza. We ended up ordering in thru door dash or uber eats after that.

Great location in WeHo, with a great view from the rooftop pool. The room was brillient and roomy.

Most staff were great, but sassy queen at the cafe (and occassionaly at rooftop) had a real attitude and made you feel like an inconvienience. The fact you had to pay $150 to get a cabanna seemed rich - the fact you have to book for all day seemed a bit much. Perhaps its an American thing - but $60 a night for parking too seemed a bit steep.

Room was great, clean, large, safe. We had a fireplace and a balcony. Staff was super friendly, helped to open a car door, helped with heavy bags. As per location - 10 min to LACMA and 20 min to the Getty Center. Great for ppl with service animals.

It is a bit pricy, like most hotels in that area. I wish i could stay longer, i didn't had a chance to explore swimming pool and roof top.

Breakfast was very good service excellent! Dovie our server epitomized the joy and love she has for her work her exuberance and outstanding service accounted for the great rating for this hotel

The expense of valet parking. However I must say Hector stood out as one of the staff who parked our car. His outstanding service of opening door not only driver side but passenger sides as well EVERY SINGLE TIME! You could see the love he had for what he does not just ‘a job’

The pool area was nice with a good view. Montrose provided wine after 5pm until 6pm which was a nice gesture. Great location near West Hollywood. Near buses.

We asked for housekeeping but they didn't do our room, had to remind them the next day. Quite pricey as well. The pool would often be closed in the late afternoon for private events, which I think is unfair to the guests who are paying for this amenity to be available.
