Such a great place to stay, the friendliest staff I’ve ever come across in all my travels. Both of the receptionists were so kind and friendly. For me it’s the little things that makes the difference between “just another hotel” to a great stay. Small things like, a massaging shower head, the proper size fridge and microwave in the room. Free parking on site and heating in the bathroom, and the consideration for loud noises by providing ear plugs. These are all the little things that made this a great stay. Also, I have to mention, the best hotel pillows!

The only thing to be mindful of is the noise. The walls are thin and so you can hear the people in the room next door. Recommendations Putting up a sign in the room that informs people to be mindful of their neighbours.

The location was great. We were able to walk to the coastal trail and a lot of restaurants. Though there was no breakfast a wonderful breakfast place was literally next door. There was gourmet coffee and tea and juice available in the receptin area. Every room has an ocean view but the upstairs has a better view. The staff was great! Thank you to Valentina who was the most gracious receptionist and the young man Raoul who was so helpful and learned on the job so quickly. There is nothing better than being greeted by these two! The rooms were larger than expected with wonderful seating area including a window seat by the window. The bathrooms were well appointed--the heater above the sink was awesome! I want one of these at my house! You will not be disapppointed.

Some reviewers say the walls are thin and you can hear the people next door. Yes, this is true. Having noise blockers would be great although even though I could hear people next door talking, it was muffled speech. It might be good to have a tutorial on how to work the heat/ac and we never figured out how to use the wall fireplace.

I thought the room was clean and very nice. There was a lot of little nice surprises like the mag mirror in the bathroom, the black make up little towel, the cordless phone charger, the robes, nice light around the bottom of the bed, front desk was extremely nice, easy check in, good parking. Great views. Easy 5 min walk to restaurants, however we went at the wrong time 3:15, and most of them were closed. Overall I like it, nice cute place. I was very comfortable there. Warm and elegant.

Husband has a bad back and the bed wasn’t too comfortable for him. His back hurt after sleeping on the bed.

The room is nice. Beautiful bay window with a really nice view. Extremely comfy bed and a good amount of blankets for that bay breeze. Very nice location close to shops and eateries.

The shower head was busted and water went everywhere which made it hard to bathe my kid. The housekeeping is quite nosey and accusatory unfortunately. For those who medicate naturally you will be warned and watched like a HAWK even if you ONLY smoke outside at the designated bench. Housekeeping literally watched me so much I started wondering if I had done something or looked funny. I don’t and won’t smoke inside a property. Even my own.

The room was clearly very thoughtfully remodeled. It was very clean and quiet with so many surprise "extras". We all loved the wall fireplace and the ambient lighting. Would definitely recommend and would return.

We were at the far end on the first floor and the light outside our room shone in the bathroom window all night. Also the light in the bathroom was set to come on when someone entered--even when turned off it would pop on if you were using the restroom in the middle of the night. The view was not quite as pictured--just a sliver of the ocean from the first floor.

The rooms are recently renovated and nice. Bathroom was nice size. The walk-in shower was roomy and hot water pressure was excellent. The bed was comfortable.

The walls are paper thin. The couple in the next room were "active" until 2AM. Considering, that I had to be up at 5am to get to a Golf Tournament made for a pretty miserable night. Wish HVI had used some of the renovations funds to beef up the sound insulation. The bed pillows were huge, too thick for my neck's liking, but great for propping up in bed to watch TV.

The location is wonderful. It's an easy walk down to excellent restaurants the harbor itself. Although it's along the highway, the double pane windows are great at limiting noise. And the view is fantastic. Will definitely stay here next time we come to half Moon Bay overnight.

We stayed in a second floor room where the outside light shines brightly into the bathroom--it would be great to add a shade to that window. Also, the king bed was good, but the pillows were firmer than ideal for us. If you're going to provide four pillows, try varying the firmness as many other hotels do so we can pick what works best for us.

Check-in was quick and easy. Tina was very helpful and provided me with exceptional service. This hotel is located right off the main highway and across the street from the Pillar Point Harbor. Several dining options and ocean views within walking distance. The room was small but clean. The little electric fireplace actually heated up the room fairly quickly and it was a nice feature. Complimentary Water, juice, and coffee machine in the lobby during regular hours. I’m pretty sure they had complimentary pastries in the morning too but I’m not an early riser lol. I would stay here again.

This was one of the very best lodging stays we have ever had! The rooms had all been remodeled and updated. You couldn't tell from the exterior how modernized everything was on the inside, Everything in the room was high quality and set up conveniently. To top it off, the office staff were friendly, informative, and efficient.

The only negative and it wasn't a big deal...since the office was smallish there wasn't really much of a breakfast selection. They did have a good juice machine and a very good coffee/espresso machine. However, there were plenty of places to eat close by.

Rooms were awesome. Very clean, modern, the location is amazing. The bike or hiking trail is a few blocks away, and so are food and drinks. Very comfortable beds, parking is secure, plenty of spaces. Smaller place with fewer rooms, a more intimate feel to it. The bay windows are perfectly located, and from the second story, you can see the ocean, but even the first story rooms have a great view. GREAT LOCATION.

It was a great place. There is honestly nothing we could say we didn't like about this place.
