The hotel was very welcoming and had a wonderful vibe to it. The courtyard was almost like a Parisian hangout spot and there was a free old school pac man machine in the common area which my fiancé and I got a ton of use out of. The keep coffee and snacks/candy out all day so you can go and help yourself anytime you’d like. The fireplace in the courtyard that runs from 6-9pm is just simply heaven. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom tub was HUGE! The room had A/C and heat you can control and it came on and cooled/heated the room very quickly. The location is honestly amazing for the price, you walk out of the locked gated courtyard and are met with a gorgeous view of the ocean and boats, it was really nice to be met with every morning when leaving the hotel. Because of the great location we were able to take breaks in between walking around and stop back at the hotel for a little pac man or snack break. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our 5 days on Catalina Island.

The location is amazing. The courtyard is pretty. It is a good place to relax after a long day of walking in the island. The staff made the rooms lively by shaping the towels into animals and that was funny.

Like other hotels in the island, rates are pricey. Hotel is also a bit dated, some furniture is old. But I do not mind because that brings out the classic look and feel. I used the spa tub, but the jet is not working. In my sister’s booked room next door, the jet was not working too. Breakfast could have more selections but it is ok just for coffee.

The breakfast was mediocre

The whirlpool tub didn’t really work… several light switches didn’t work. There was a huge roach in our room.

Single suite large enough for 4-5 persons. The view was lovely however the certain item needed to be update like the screen leading to patio. It was in disrepair. Bathrooms were updated and spacious. It was a lovely apartment altogether. Finally, the wifi did not meet expectation and was difficult to connect from that suite. That would be my only complaint. But as you know we did not travel to Catalina Island to secure great wifi (smile).

Breakfast. With not many places open for breakfast, it would have been nice to have a better food selections in the mornings.

Room Size is better than most other accommodations on the island. The mattress on the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of storage for clothing for a 3-night stay.

Both my wife and I were a little nervous using the toilet. The toilet used way too much water in order to flush. In our house, all toilets use only 1.2 gallons to flush and they were only $200 each at Home Depot. They are American Standard model with comfort height and elongated seats.

I like that it was close to the main strip. I love that they took into consideration that it was a couples get away and put us downstairs with the courtyard right outside our door and no one in the room next to us. They offered to secure our luggage before check in and after checkout so we could enjoy the island without dragging it around. I like that they didn't have housekeeping knock on our door every morning. I loved that the courtyard was a nestled little garden away from the main strip.

The only complaint would be the mattress. Needs to be replaced as it had two indentations where people have slept and was overly firm from wear and tear.

Great location. Clean, quiet and central to activities we wanted to do. Not cheap by any means, but fairly priced compared to other choices.

Jets for the spa tub didn't work and the ac was a little difficult to adjust to a comfortable level. "Breakfast" items could've been a little better, ran out of coffee a couple of times.

I liked the room it was very spacious and the bathroom was very nice the bed was nice and big and comfortable overall the place was a good stay and I would stay again when I come back and visit. The staff were very nice to use gave us some tips on how to try and save money. Also what was a plus is that they don’t only hold your bags when you get there before check in, they hold so when you also leave and you boat is at a later time, which helped out a lot because we have a few bags.

What I didn’t like was you can hear everything outside the room not very soundproof it didn’t really bother me because it was only a few other people there so it wouldn’t be all the time. Also another one is more of my personal preference is the lighting in the room wasn’t all great you have many switches the turn on and once all of them are on it’s still not the best lighting but other than that it was a very nice stay.

Our unit was a good size and the bathroom was large and easy for 2 people to use simultaneously…I am tall and my elbows didn’t bang on the sides of the shower! the garden courtyard was a nice, beautiful amenity and we enjoyed sitting by the fire pit both nights. The continental breakfast was nice as well, we ate at a table in the courtyard which was enjoyable.

Clean and upgraded room overall. Nice and helpful asst. mgr.

We had this beautiful upgraded bathroom, but the toilet was tiny and didn't flush well. Had to flush four times to get stuff down. Also, there was a water pipe for the fire sprinklers in the bathroom that the top of it was thick with accumulated dust. The lighting around the mirror was terrible. The jets in the tub were worthless.
