great view from room, comfortable, good location

check in was unnecessarily specific. Maybe it’s just a Hilton or big chain policy (we almost always stay in boutique hotels or airbnbs) but they wouldn’t let us checkin 15 minutes early. Literally made us wait 14 minutes in front of the counter while the guy did nothing and helped no one (there was no one else there waiting). again, maybe just Hilton policy to not allow early check ins but I found it off putting and another reason I prefer smaller hotels.

The staff was very friendly.

I was billed $100 without being told what it was for. It may possibly have been for a late check in, but any fee was not mentioned or on receipt. When I spoke to staff to inform them that our flight was delayed, they said that there would be someone there. When I arrived at 12:30, they checked us in , but did not mention any extra fee for being there. Now I'm not against paying for after hours check in, but it would be nice to know about it. The only reason I found out was by looking at my bank activity for 1/8/22. Hell, it may not even be for the late check in. I have no idea. Also, the bath exhaust fan did not work. Very uncomfortable after a shower.

We were going to Catalina Island, the location is close to the Catalina Express and they had a free shuttle for us. The shuttle driver was a bit late, though, so next time we’d book it for earlier. The food was decent and the staff were all very friendly. For the price, I expected something a little fancier, but prices are high everywhere right now.

It was a little expensive for what it was, but definitely the best option around.

Nice room, overall a well maintained hotel, directly on the marina.

The carpet in our room must’ve been freshly shampooed because it was wet around the edges of the room. We had checked in late, so decided not to ask for a different room, but the wetness everywhere was kinda gross. Also, the menu advertised for the restaurant was nothing like what was actually available. Food was good (especially breakfast), but the menu for dinner was not what we expected.

I'm very familiar with the Hilton brand (I worked for IHG for over 30 years and my daughter worked for Hilton). Your property and staff excel in all categories. My husband and I are just starting to travel again, and we've learned we love cruising. Your hotel is in the perfect location between Amtrak's Union Station and the Cruise Port. We will be repeat guests. Thank you to all staff (seen and unseen), I know how tough the hospitality industry can be... keep up the good work!

Loved the location, pet friendliness of the property and the pool area!

The way that Hilton handled deposits and final payment for the rooms could be handled much better. I hate having to wait for a refund while traveling. Also, they need to offer coffee and breakfast or update their listing. It is misleading and people count on coffee in the morning!

Familiar with area, and close to where I needed to be. Allow pets and great area to walk pets and fun marina/port of LA views! Quiet. Staff are very nice!

They wouldn’t allow me to earn my Hilton Honors points because I booked through booking.com, and that is very irritating. I won’t use b.c again to book hotels I earn points with in the future.

We loved the check in staff. Michelle was very friendly. Russell our shuttle driver was very nice. Special mention to Chuck in the restaurant, what a hoot he is! Great service, good food. We stayed prior to our cruise and would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you!

The lighting in the bathroom needs to be improved. Terrible for putting on makeup.

The location was perfect for our purpose. The parking was great and the facilities were comfortable.

The vending machines were all empty or unplugged. One ice machine was not working. These are fixable issues that shouldn’t take away from the wonderful staff and general facilities.
